Roller Coaster ~ The Ride Never Ends, Except When It Does

Fate's and Arf's respective reactions didn't change much as they went through the final stretch of the ride. Arf couldn't help but let out a howl as they went through the spiral.

Eventually, however, they made it to the end. As the ride slowed down, Fate looked around with a somewhat surprised look on her face.

"...It's over already?"

Arf gave her a knowing smirk. "Sad, isn't it? But don't worry; I'm sure we'll find another one that's just as good."

Once they came to a stop and got out, Arf's first reaction was to stretch. Then she gave Caro a similar smirk to the one she just gave Fate.

"I bet you heard me the whole way, so I suspect you already know what I thought of it. As for Fate...." She turned to her master. "...I can't speak for her, but I think she got used to it."

Fate made a small, awkward smile. "...Yes."

After that, the two of them followed Caro over to the others. Then Arf looked between them and raised an eyebrow. "...So, what did we miss here?"

Buffet - Breakfast

"Alright" Curly said gently, then gave Silanea another squeeze from the sidebefore letting the Lamia go and grabbing her plate (or possibly both them them) and heading slowly for one of those booth-style tables not far from the entrance.

Assuming Silanea followed, Curly sat the food down and claimed a seat. Then took her time silently debating between starting with a large buttered roll, or the bacon, scrambled eggs, or chocolate looking pudding. The bread won out and she broke a piece off to munch on thoughtfully.

Ciri - Roller Coaster

"I suppose there's no better day to risk this than on one where no one can harm themselves," Ciri said, making the mental note that Rex was still a kid and came from a different world, so he probably didn't understand that grabbing a swordsman like that was a good way to get yourself into a painful situation. Still, he seemed to mean well.

She sat herself down at the coaster's cart after the previous riders had dismounted, and inspected the ride as she waited.

"How does it start?"

The streets

"Hmmm," Ben muttered, sounding a little disappointed but understanding. "Yeah.. I bet it is," he stated. "I just... I dunno if I've been doing the right thing. This City's so weird, and things are a lot more horrible here than they ever were in my world. People do horrific things I don't think any of my bad guys would even think of doing. Except for Ghostfreak but he's crazy," Ben said, shrugging a little bit as he walked with her.

Roller coaster

The gremlin looked only a little off put by Sans' statement, sighing slightly. "Well, alright... I wasn't really expecting strangers to help anyway" the gremlin muttered, then started walking off, glancing around like she wasn't sure where she felt like going next.

Somewhere else in the streets, with Ben

Melanie seemed to ponder what Ben said, though lowered her eyebrows a bit. "Wasn't that your villain in the episode we watched? The guy who was still ordering minions around even though half his body was blown off? That's kinda messed up, actually" Melanie pointed out. "Your bad guys might not seem as bad on the surface, but I bet they're still just as capable of doing awful things" the Fangirl continued, though then added, "though I can see how it might seem like that to you."

Melanie then glanced up as a large firework of sorts seemed to go off not far away. "Oh cool, fireworks" Melanie commented as she looked that way.

Near one of the balconies

Bergree watched with a blank, blinking stare as Kamina continued boasting and went on to make wild assertions about things, in particular the reason for humans having front-facing eyes.

"... Well... Good luck Kamina. I'll be returning to my own business now" Bergree said, with a small hint of awkwardness, before turning to leave.

Buffet

Silanea followed Curly with her plate of various meats, and Nails grabbed a few simple items like butter rolls and a slice of Thanksgiving turkey before following, Phillip sticking close.

Silanea, after contemplating the chairs, opted to just push one aside and 'sit' on her coiled up tail next to the table. She grabbed a fork and, after a moment of hesitation, started to eat much like she had the previous night with Fate and Arf; messily chewing away with no regard for slicing any chunks into smaller pieces, instead just taking bites directly from them. Nails had started eating one of his rolls, though glanced over as Silanea started, looking a little weirded out. But he then tried to continue eating and ignore it, just occasionally glancing over.

Phillip however just stared at Silanea, looking weirded out and just a little disgusted.

The streets

Ben nodded at her. "Yeah... they are, I just... I didn't know Vilgax was half-blown up. I just... things are a lot worse here. Sure my bad guys are capable of a lot of stuff but here, people do horrible things all the time and they tend to get away with it. And I haven't thrown one bad guy in jail yet. I don't think the City Knights have rescued anyone, to be honest. Just argue with people and each other."

At that moment the fireworks went off and Ben looked up in the sky. "Hey, we should check out where those fireworks are coming from, maybe it'll lead us to the king," he told Melanie, then started running in the direction of where the fireworks were shooting off from.

Cole watched as the female gremlin started to walk off, and he turned his head to give Sans and Arcade a downright accusatory stare, clenching his fists, one of them still clutching his stuffed rabbit, and setting his feet as though he were actively preparing to challenge them.

"She needs help, and I want to help her, and I don't need you to tell me I can! Caro, and you, and people, tried to tell me that doing something you didn't like actually did help, with Lewis and with what happened yesterday with the wish, and if that's the case then maybe I can do something else that could lead to her getting the help she needs! You can't say I can't do it!"

He didn't seem aware of exactly the image he was presenting, being a just-barely-not-toddler in a bunny onesie, clutching a stuffed animal, and practically stomping his foot.

Library

"... and then the *urp* then - then yesterday it was like... a sports... thing, I don't know, and now it's today and we can call you because *urp* because - because I forget why. W-w-we just can now I guess - "

"-every five days." put in Morty.

"-every five days, yeah."

"So... let me get this straight," said Jerry from the couch, trying to roll around the concept in his mind. "... you're trapped in an alien library with fictional characters... because someone can't write... a book?"

"Wait, you got turned into a dog?" asked Summer, trying to suppress a smirk.

"No - I mean - okay - but there were -" Morty stammered as he tried not to remember that day, which was a particularly bad day for a variety of reasons. "-there were extenuating circumstances, alright?"

"Look," demanded Beth as she stood up, wiped some some smeared mascara from her eyes, and adopted the kind of stance and tone that only a mother with her dander up could possibly hope to pull off, "Rick, you're my father, I love you, but you've taken my son for two weeks without notifying anyone! Is he alright? Is he hurt? Are you hurt, Morty?"

"Well-" started Morty before Rick cut him off.

"He's fine, sweetie. Absolutely *urp* fine. Okay I mean there was some trouble with a demon a few days ago but -"

"A demon?!" demanded Jerry. "You mean like the kind you get out of an Ouija board?"

Rick rolled his eyes and smeared his face down his palm; he'd forgotten how dense his family could be sometimes. "Not that kind of demon, Jerrry, th-this was a *urp* pan-spatial energy construct fuelled by emotions and - it's complicated, alright? Morty's fine. Did - didn't I mention that nobody can die here?"

"No..."

"Well *urp* it's true, Jerry. I could *urp* I could shoot him right now and he'd be *urp* per- perfectly fine. I'm not going to-"

"Please don't, Rick." mumbled Morty.

"but it's true. He's fine, I'm fine - just - you know *urp* tell Morty's stupid school that he's... he's in Aruba or something."

"Why would Morty go to Aruba? He's fifteen."

"Ugh, just tell them something so you people can collectively get off my ass about it. They don't *urp* they don't even care, Morty's so smart for them that I bet h-he's getting all A's anyway."

There was an awkward pause. Rick drummed his fingers on the tabletop and fumbled for his flask, Morty made a few noncommittal noises as he stared at the faces of the family that he thought he'd never see again. And might never again. Who knew with this city?

Jerry cleared his throat and fumbled for something.

"But... is that Lewis?" ventured Jerry after a few seconds. "Tell him that-"

"Jerry, who the hell is Lewis?" snapped Beth.

"This isn't the time, Jerry - you - you're not seing the big *urp* picture here!" Rick sighed; he had not been prepared to deal with Jerry's particular brand of... Jerry-ness today. "Look, I gotta go. Tell the Council I'm fine if they call or something. D-d-don't do anything stupid like summon a Meeseks to try and find me."

"Rick-"

"Look I gotta plan a party or something, talk to you later, bye." Rick abruptly stood up and walked offscreen.

"Um, well-" Morty started, tapping his fingers together.

Rick abruptly strode back into the screen and jabbed a finger at the assembled family. "A *urp* a wise man once told me 'stay out of my lab.' And by that I mean 'stay out of my lab.'" Rick walked offscreen again.

"Maybe-"

Rick quickly jogged backwards to complete the afterthought. "That means you, Jerry." Jerry looked around as though there were some other Jerry in the room that that message/veiled threat could possibly be addressed to.

"Alright..." stammered Morty, I mean... Mom, Dad? I- I can't believe I'd ever see you again. If - if I don't make it back..." Morty tapped his fingers together and stared pensievely at the table. "... i-i-i-if something happens to me... I mean....." Morty trailed off again as he tried not to remember a certain series of apocalyptic events from a few months ago. "...look, I know what you'll have to do. I don't wanna talk about it."

"We love you, Morty," sighed Beth, feeling something prick up in her eyes again. "Be safe."

"Come back soon?" asked Jerry, who looked heartbroken at the idea of losing his son to the vagaries of space-time for the second time in as many weeks.

"I said I'll try, Dad. You know?" Morty flashed a false-bravado smile. "See you soon."

The picture flickered once, twice, then dissolved into a faint mass of hissing static. The three remaining members of the family stared blankly into the sudden void for a few moments, each alone with their troubled, pensive thoughts."

"So... are you going to tell him, then?" asked Jerry, breaking the silence.

"It was your idea, Jerry, you're telling him."

The door to the garage rumbled ominously. Tendrils of what looked like liquid metal slithered under the door, questing for something, and Beth sighed with the duty of a housewife attending to a carpet stain. "I'll get the broom this time..."

Buffet - Food!

Curly paused, then said with a little chuckle at the sight "Someone's enjoying the food at least" before grabbing a few pieces of bacon and taking a large bite, the grin as she finished that item was rather obvious. "Okay, I might have to eat more often if there's stuff like this around". Without thinking about the implications of such a statement, she moved on to a few bites of eggs before finally sampling the pudding and pausing with the spoon still in her mouth and making a quiet Mmm sound.

Rollercoaster - broken morals

Sans merely sighed as Cole proceeded to throw a tantrum at him using the things that happened yesterday as an argument. The more he saw of this little kid, the more hindsight it threw at all the other times he had an argument with him and just further highlighted how pointless it all was.

"cole, we're trying to have a good day here and also trying to help someone who is also having a lot of issues right now." His tone voice was surprisingly stern, considering his usual behavior. "if you really don't want me to call you a child, maybe you should actually try acting like an adult instead of throwing a fit like some bratty kid," Sans then glanced at the gremlin girl as she walked away, then looked back at Cole. "if you run off and make me have to go searching all over the place to find you again, i'm gonna get real upset at you, so you stay with the group, 'k?"

It was about then that the girls came back from the ride. They all seemed to have enjoyed it, even Fate, although she still was being quite meek. Oh well, baby steps.

"we're gonna have to talk to that dude when we run into him again, otherwise, there's not much we can do." He then looked up at the rollercoaster, feeling a little bit of anticipation for it, then back at Caro. "make sure cole doesn't just run off somewhere while i'm up there, 'k? i don't think we need more trouble being added to the pile."

Sans then began moving over to the rollercoaster, briefly looking back and motioning to Arcade to follow as he went.

Roller-Coaster

As Cole began to throw his tantrum, Arcade looked less and less impressed. "Wow, Cole, you're so right," he deadpanned, "I will make sure to never request that we not split up from our group ever again. Next time someone feels even slightly bad, we'll just abandon anyone not within our sights, I promise." He did not notice the slight hypocrisy of telling someone not to call out another for not trying to help everyone around them.

He did smile at Caro when she approached. The ride did seem fun, and Sans started walking towards it as soon as he gave some parting instructions. He seemed to be a lot like the people from his world who would solve every problem they encountered, Arcade mused as he followed the skeleton. If he hadn't met the Courier, he might've assumed the stories of the Vault Dweller and the Chosen One were made up.

Thinking about the Chosen One made him tighten his jaw slightly. He knew he had a good reason for destroying the Enclave. He was frankly grateful he wasn't raised to believe in the Enclave's plans of total genocide. Still, his life would've been easier in several ways if it wasn't for that explosion.

I say that aloud too sometimes, just: "man, no life."

Roller coaster — Buckle up

Ciri complied and got in the cart, visibly inspecting it. Due to his excitement, Rex barely got to hear the little squabble near them and only caught a toddler yelling "you can't say I can't do it!".

"Some people don't realize you can't bring babies in here" he told Ciri, pointing at the now-infant Cole, some guy with a pumpkin on his head, and another.

Rex was so prepared to finally have some fun and forget about the drama for a bit that he was he was almost rubbing his hands in anticipation when Ciri asked him how it was supposed to start. He hadn't really thought about that.

"Well, there is usually a guy making sure everyone is in their seats but I guess this one must be automatic"

Cole's expression went from defiant to somewhat shocked when Sans scolded him, telling him they were trying to help someone else already, to stop throwing a fit, and that he would be upset if Cole ran off on his own and made the others have to search for him. This was topped off by some commentary from Arcade that even Cole realized was a rather sarcastic comment, and Sans telling the returning Caro, Fate, and Arf to not let him run off or there'd be "more trouble" before he and Arcade headed for their turn on the ride.

The youngster's face was clearly stricken as he watched them go, and he slowly drew his rabbit up to hug it tighter again, lowering his eyes to the ground. After a second, he just slowly slid down to sit on the ground, hiding his face against the toy's fur, sniffing a little, but not doing anything else out loud or very noticeable besides sitting still.

Nearby roller coaster entrance - Out of thrills to right back to drama

Well, at this point, she wasn't really expecting a pronounced reaction. Still, it was progress and slowly but surely they getting somewhere. She then simply flashed a sweet and encouraging smile at Fate as they made their way back.

The gremlin girl seemed to have ended up leaving and from what she managed to catch as she approached, it seemed that Cole had been rather insistent on helping her, apparently still related to the matter with the guy who had left her behind. And Sans had reigned him in so he wouldn't split off from everyone to do it, admitedly rather harshly.

The skeleton then went off to the roller coaster, while telling her and the others to not let Cole wander off. Arcade then followed.

Caro simply called out, "Alright, have fun!" before getting ready to tend to the matter at hand. She had guessed that Cole would get upset over the whole matter and she was mostly right, though she hadn't thought he would be suffering in silence like this. It was heartbreaking really.

Kneeling in front of him, she then spoke softly, "It's alright, Cole. I don't think he really was mad or anything. Can you just tell me what happened? What exactly did you want to help that lady with?"

News channel

On the radios in the various buildings across the city, the playlist of holiday songs quieted down as the two announcers came back on again.

"Well folks, got some bad news. The militia isn't letting us get that interview with Rex yet; they said something about him being in solitary confinement" Adam's voice said simply.

"Yeah, it sounds like he's deep in the doo doo butter. By which I mean he's in a lot of trouble" Jeff's voice added in, a bit jokingly.

"We also tried asking if the militia leader would take an interview, but it seems he's busy working the streets. So, we've got Spiderbee out on the prowl looking for any of the other big shots to see if we can't fill that in today" Adam's voice added on.

"But, it's not all disappointment right now! We've got some news that the Fanboys are planning a party at the theater tonight, and it seems to be an open invite to just about anyone! That sounds like fun- heck, maybe even we'll go. What do you think, Adam?" Jeff's voice continued on.

"If we could get another thing from the librarian to make us a setup there, then yeah why not?" Adam's voice responded.

"Or we could just leave the music running. I mean, it's a peace day, so what's gonna happen?" Jeff's voice pointed out.

"We might still have an interview from Spiderbee happening" Adam's voice reminded him.

"Oh, right" Jeff's voice muttered.

Somewhere in the streets, with Ben and soon with others

"Yeah, good thinking" Melanie agreed, following after Ben easily. As they got to another intersection close to where they originally saw the fireworks go off, Melanie stopped and glanced that way. "Hmm. I don't see anything significant; maybe the city moved us away" the Fangirl noted, looking briefly at Ara and the kids around her.

"Hnn?" Silanea muttered, muffled through her full mouth, as she looked at Curly with a slightly confused expression. Now that she was paying attention to those around her, she noticed Phillip's continued stare.

"... Your people don't have table manners in your universe?" Phillip wondered aloud.

Silanea looked briefly shocked, then ashamed as she set down her fork. "I- I'm sorry, I... I got used to eating in a hurry with nobody around..." Silanea muttered sadly.

Nails cast a quick, irritated glare at Phillip and shoved at his arm. "Come on Phillip, give her a break" Nails said. As he was about to resume eating, he paused, hearing the announcement on the nearby radio about the party. "A party huh... Think that might cheer you up?" the militia member asked towards Silanea.

"I don't think taking a depressed shut-in to a party would end well, Nails" Phillip said, folding his arms.

Nails glanced at him again, frowning slightly but this time out of a sort of admitted defeat rather than irritation. "Yeah... You're probably right. Let's just plan on the hospital for now" Nails muttered with a slow nod before he resumed eating.

Lewis - Library - Vivi.exe has stopped responding

"Are you done yet?"

Whatever part of me was still thinking tried to respond, but I couldn't manage to string words and syllables into a coherent reply, or for that matter find any phrase to reply with, merely producing yet more frustrated noises. Which frustrated me more, and made it even more impossible to speak properly. I faintly noticed Eve walking up and struggling to give me a pat on the shoulder, and felt a faint aversion to having her involved in this, but this was mostly drowned under the sheer volume of other matters preoccupying my thoughts.

"Right...look, I'm just gonna—"

I felt more than knew she was about to hang up, and that I was about to blow this, blow any chance of righting this and regaining what we had if I didn't act fast.

"Wait, Vivi—!"

"Are you okay, Lewis?"

I turned to Eve suddenly. "EVERYTHING'S JUST PEACHY, EVE! DON'T SWEAT IT!"

I hadn't meant to yell at her, but couldn't catch myself in time to even begin trying to calm down and sound anything but unconvincing.

I looked back at the tablet, now sitting on the table. "Vivi, ple—"

She had stiffened like a bokken, her gaze staring at nothing and devoid of affect, except for the subtlest trace of some wisdom trying against an unknown force to bubble to the surface, that would have escaped all but those most familiar with her (and perhaps the multiverse's greatest body and facial language specialist).

It clicked that Eve had said my name...

Mystery was leaning in to examine her, concerned as any dog would be for their master, and Arthur had moved within reach of her, though still keeping enough distance to only barely be in frame. He looked...concerned?...confused, like he had answered some riddle only to be given 10 more, and somehow...crushed.

For a moment I fell for it, before catching myself. Slippery bastard.

I might have yelled at him, if not for this unexpectedly-cold realization that maybe, just maybe, she was realizing, and perhaps that I'd done it...

"Vivi...?"

Eve lent back, seemingly blown backwards by the force of Lewis' yelling, and let her nanohand fall and dissipate. She had just -

She had only-

Wanted to help.

Eve took a moment to compose herself and shrugged, giving the outward sign of being unaffected by Lewis' outburst. Someone who could read her would notice a tiny hint of hurt in her eyes, the one sign she couldn't get rid of.

Tempted to look at the tablet, but respecting Lewis' privacy, Eve took a step back, to simply...be there. She wasn't good at much else.

Shinji Ikari | Unknown City's Streets | You are (not) friends

To say the least, he flinched in surprise at Simon's touch. He...hadn't expected that. It might not have been the best comforting action, but it only made Shinji feel that Simon did care, but he wasn't sure how to go about it, just like him. He started feeling a little better at that, managing a small but more genuine smile under his mask. Then Kamina and the red armored man—X, apparently—came in.

He looked up and kept his gaze at Kamina as he spoke. Even now, the man didn't lose hope at all. What's more, X mentioned some actually leaving. Maybe that was what Bergree meant—who, unlike him, apparently found Kamina odd from the look on his face and left after a polite good bye—when he said there was more information at the central building.

Then Kamina decided they—him and Simon—needed to go, likely to do what he said. He sat at his spot for a while as they walked off, thinking. Should he follow? He felt like he wanted to. He didn't want to be alone. And...they made him feel like when he was around Touji and Kensuke. They felt like...friends. They wouldn't mind, would they? He took a deep breath and returned his SDAT.

"I musn't run away..." he said softly to himself.

Then he stood up and said to them, "H-Hey! Wait for me!"

It didn't take long to catch up to them, finding that their pace wasn't too fast. But now that he was beside them...he wasn't sure what to do. It felt awkward to just be there after asking them to let him reach them and not say anything. He should say something... But what?

"Um... Can I come along?"

Well, at least it was something.

"You said you had a dream... That dream... Make it come true! ... If anyone can, it's you!" - N (shortened) Oh, and I'm a girl.

The Children- City Streets

The children all covered their ears, with varying degrees of care. When the first ball went off, they all flinched, the young harpy even letting out a surprised squawk. Then their eyes all turned upwards as they watched the colourful sight.

City Streets - Back together

Jack said his goodbyes to Lucas and Yoshika and quickly took to the air. Glancing around, he eyed the area he had last seen Ara and the children and groaned when they were nowhere in sight. Picking up speed, the spirit continued his search, this time for both Eric and the rest of the children.

A sudden firework jolted him, the winter spirit spinning in midair out of curiosity. He watched the remnants of it fade, wondering why it had been so low. Then another one went off, and another. They kept coming, and Jack figured if anything was going to be a signal for him, it would probably be that. Calling for the wind to take him in that direction, he shot towards the area like a bullet.

Circling the area, the spirit quickly spotted a familiar group directly below the fireworks. Swooping down, he landed nearby. "Hey! Looks like we're all back together again. Everyone ready to head to the library?"

A cry went about through the children when they spotted the spirit, calling his name. Jack turned to look at Ara and smiled. "Thanks for that, Ara."

Streets
To be honest, Kamina didn't really know if Gurren and Lagann were here. He felt that they have to be here but what he felt was usually separate from the truth. But he kept walking alongside Simon because he had to give Simon a goal. A dream. That and Shinji needed something to chase. Even if it was small as getting him to follow himself, Kamina would be happy with that.

Simon thought about Shinji. Simon truly did wish that he felt better. Being afraid and unsure are moods that constantly rose in his mind. Even with Lagann, even with his bro at his, he still worried about himself. He still felt hopeless. Then there was finding the Gunmen. Simon asked Kamina, "Bro, what makes you so sure that we will find either one of our Gunmen?"

At that moment, Shinji arrived to the duo. Kamina's face lit up with a smile. "Of course you can join us.........?"

Simon helped his bro out. "It's Shinji."

Kamina shook Simon's shoulder and said, "Ah, thanks Simon! Shinji, you can follow me and Simon as long as you want! The mighty Kamina would be more than glad to lead you across this city!"

Simon says timidly, "Yeah. You can join us."

Kamina contitues. "And to answer your question Simon, I'm so sure because Lagann has your spirit itself in it! Gurren has my endless strength flowing through it! They are us in a way! That can only mean that they must be here!"

Simon says, "But bro. That's not-"

Kamina finished with, "Don't think about the what ifs or the what haves Simon. Don't give up on this. Believe in the Kamina that believes in this."

Simon looked down at the ground and then said quietly, "Ok bro."

With that, the trio contitued walking around the city.

The streets

As soon as the two turned the corner, Ben seemed to be turned around as well. "Yeah, sometimes this City annoys me with that," he told Melanie. His eyes widened when he saw a small gathering nearby though. He moved towards the group to get a better look. It was Ara and Jack Frost, as well as a bunch of kids. Ben smiled and approached them.

"Jack! Ara!" Ben exclaimed, waving over to them. "It's me, Ben! Long time no see, Jack!" Ben stated, moving towards Jack in particular with a wide smile on his face. "Where've you been all this time?" he asked. He then squat down to eye level with the children following Jack. "Hey little guys..." he told them in a calm voice.

I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Roller Coaster ~ Can't Into Parenthood

"Sure. Walk off without telling us anything," Arf commented with a frown as Sans and Arcade went to take their turn on the ride and the furry being just walked off, leaving them with the obviously distressed Cole.

As Caro seemed to have a better idea of what she was doing, Fate and Arf opted to remain quiet and just listen to the ensuing exchange. Fate frowned, and started awkwardly fiddling with her fingers, occasionally casting a glance over at the coaster to see how the other two were handling it as she listened.

Streets, Just Passing Through

As the group of Simon, Kamina, X, and Shinji walked along, they would encounter Plague Knight along the road, pushing a full shopping cart filled with various items and supplies that could sufficiently stock a small makeshift laboratory. The alchemist looked around, clearly searching for something when he saw the group.

His eye narrowed under his mask, and then widened in recognition. "Ah, X! Long time no see!" the knight called out. "Giving these newcomers a grand tour of the realm?" he asked.

Ciri - Roller Coaster

"Yes, I suppose babies are easy to drop," Ciri said to Rex as she waited for the roller coaster to... roll. "It would be quite the travesty to spawn a botchling solely because its mother sought trivial enjoyments on this contraption."

Curiously, she saw a little girl note  glancing in her direction intermittently. Wordlessly, she smiled and gave the girl a wave of her hand the next time she looked her way.

Cole looked up at Caro when she came over to speak to him, rubbing at his eye with the heel of one hand while still clinging to his rabbit with the other. "Sh-she likes F-Fastanook b-b-but he doesn't...he was busy and she w-wanted his attention and I wanted to help, a-and I...I-I can help, I can get them to talk, I know how, but Sans d-didn't want me to go and I wanted to go, and...I...I just w-w-wanted to help...I don't, I...he said we were h-helping someone else but I don't know who else we're helping, and I wanted to help her and I didn't want to make anyone angry, I..."

He rubbed at his face again, sniffling. "W-who are we helping? I didn't know we were helping...I didn't mean to not help, I just...I wanted to help, I do want to help but I don't know how..."
