Lily walked for a few minutes before finding what she was looking for, an arts n' crafts store. She spotted the wool and knitting needles as she entered, perking up immediately when she noticed. She gathered her supplies and sat on a chair in front of the windows for the best lighting. It was lucky that some of the needles and wool
◊ were designed for a niche knitting market.
Lily knew she had to make Cole's sweater first; it would be a dark green with little bunnies on it. She was a little out of practice, but started out strong enough that she became more confident in her abilities as she continued. As she knitted she considered who she should make the other sweaters for. Sans and Caro, naturally, Eve, who gave her the idea, Ben seemed to be friends with Cole, so he got a sweater.

I really need to remember to get a new radio, Plague Knight thought as he overheard the chatter from the radios of the other City Knights, whom seem to have expanded a bit. He was also an observer of Caro and Fate's contest. His mask hid his complete surprise at both the intensity of the spells flung and how it ended near instantaneously.
"Honestly, if I did not notice Caro firing first, I would have been completely lost," he commented. The knight then looked over at Sans. An idea suddenly came to him.......
"Excuse me, Sans?" he asked innocently enough. "Mind if we talk privately for a moment or two?"

For the Horde!
Ben was perfectly content to stand there and cuddle with Eve. It was helping him to calm down, and plus it was comfy and he liked the feeling of holding Eve and being in her arms. Then Cole spoke up. Then he heard the snickering from the Fanboys. Then Sora spoke up. Eve either didn't care or didn't know what they were talking about, simply saying that hugs were nice. And they were.
But Ben had a pretty good idea what they were really saying. A blush crept onto Ben's face, turning his face bright red like a tomato, and he finally let go of Eve, looking at Cole and Sora incredulously for a moment, and shooting a look towards the Fanboys. He would've spoken up but he was far too tongue-tied to do that, so embarrassed.
Ben smiled back at Eve and nodded, starting to move towards the library when his foot hit against something soft on the ground. He looked down. Someone had placed a stuffed puppy on the ground. His blush grew brighter. Then he bent down and picked it up. He stayed still for a moment, looking at Eve. Then he handed her the doll.
I can still hail the Horde even though the company has shamed us. Strength and Honor even if Blizzard has neither.

Lewis then showed up, congratulating Caro on her victory, a quick look on his points showed that he still only had three, not much to his surprise considering Rex was in 3rd with only 4.
"hey lewis, what wi... oh, right, that, i almost forgot," said Sans.
Suddenly the guy with the bird mask came up and asked to talk to him in private. This one he had no clue what it could be about.
"uh, sure, why not." He shrugged then looked back at Caro. "i'll be back in a bit, sis"
He then moved over to another part of the stadium, waiting for PK to catch up to him. Wasn't exactly private, with all the crowd around them, but he figured nobody would care enough to listen in on them plus they could just speak in a lower voice if they needed to.
"what's up?"
"You are professionally close to Silanea, correct?" Plague Knight asked Sans in a lowered voice once the two were relatively secluded. "I was wondering about the wish she wanted from today, as the despair she had when she was knocked out of the competition was obvious even to me. Depending on what that wish was, I can try to convince one of the other City Knights to use the wish for her benefit if they ultimately win."

That was not what he was expecting at all. He wasn't sure what to think of that or even if he should say anything about it. He lowered his gaze as he thought about what his response would be and then sighed as he began facing him directly again.
"i'm not sure if i'm allowed to talk about that, but caro already knows, sort of." He glanced at Caro for a moment. "i'm not sure if she's planning on actually winning this competition but... if she is, i think she already made someone else her priority."
Streets
While Abel was wondering what to do next, a couple of feet behind him someone else—a figure clad in gray—came out from behind a corner.
It was Garrett. He had already caught his breath after the race, had a snack at the grocery store (something called "peanut butter", mostly), and now decided it was about time for a little practice.
As Garrett passed near the boy, he would "accidentally" bump into him and use the moment to quickly reach into Abel's pocket and subtly pickpocket whatever was inside... if there was anything inside, that is.
He had not noticed Rixis.

Stadium ~ The End of the Battle
Upon realizing she lost, Fate closed her eyes and looked away from her opponent. She was silent for a few long moments as the announcers went on about Caro now holding first place.
"What?" Arf exclaimed, first looking very confused. Then, as the realization set in, it turned to anger as she glared at Caro. "We weren't supposed to lose! We'd never lose to you!"
"Arf," Fate interrupted, "If I hadn't accepted that I might lose, I never would have agreed to this." She turned back to Arf. "It doesn't matter how she won. She's won, and that's it. It's over."
"But...after everything we did to get this far...." Arf continued, "I...I just don't want to accept that all we've done was for nothing! What about the mission? What about the wish?"
Fate sighed. "After this, I don't know what I would have done with it."
After that, she turned to Caro.
"I suppose you can be proud to have accomplished something, Caro. Whatever it is you plan on wishing for, or otherwise doing with your points, I hope you aren't going to regret it." At that, she turned away. "As for me.... I have a lot to think about."
"...What are we going to do now, anyway?" Arf asked.
Fate's answer was a simple one.
"I don't know." She returned Bardiche to his standby form. "But I'll figure something out."
At that, the two of them looked as if they were about to leave. Right as she was about to take off, however, something else occurred to Fate. Then she turned back to Caro.
"One last thing, Caro. With how you already knew about the Lost Logia, how certain you sounded about the outcome of our victory, and how really upset you've gotten over this entire affair.... I can't help but wonder if there's something more to you. It's like...it's like you already know me."

"Hmmm," Plague Knight said, that is a pity, he thought. "I shall ask her, or possibly Silanea herself then," he added. "The real trouble might convincing Ben, though. Thank you for you time," he politely said. "And if you see Silanea around, tell her I wish to speak with her. Need not worry, I do not have a......bone to pick with her! Hee hee!" he giggled at his own pun before walking away.

For some reason, what he'd said about Ben and Eve liking each other seemed to have made Ben go bright red and embarrassed. It reminded Cole of the way Blackwall had reacted once, when Cole had asked him about why he was thinking about under Josephine's dress, except Ben wasn't swearing and yelling at Cole to stay out of his head.
Perhaps he might have liked to, but Ben was much less tangled up inside than Blackwall was. Most people were.
Eve didn't seem bothered, though, and people were smiling and chuckling about it. Maybe despite everything he had done something nice. The green furry person calling himself "Grinch" had given Ben a toy, which Ben then presented to Eve. Yes, this did seem like it was going well.
There was one more big pain here...and Cole looked at Ara a moment, seeming rather concerned. He remembered what she'd done back at the grocery store, remembered that the pin she was wearing was...he didn't know what it was, but he knew what it did. But she had seemed nice, and she hadn't seemed scared of it or whatever it had done. If it were a monsterous thing, she would have been happy to be rid of it, wouldn't she? She wouldn't have taken it away from him.
Did she even know what it had done? Surely she did...he didn't think you could carry around an artifact with a demon in it without realizing it fairly quickly. But she had been so nice to him before that, and apologetic over getting him hurt in the library, or...
Then again...hadn't it been made clear to him that people here were from worlds that weren't like his? As much as the thought of being possessed made him want to shiver and run away immediately, perhaps that was...normal?...for them? The thought of accepting possession as normal made him almost physically ill inside, but...it was possible, wasn't it?
...this was confusing and it made his head hurt. They needed to figure it out.
He moved a bit closer to Ara, eyes to the ground, still looking a little nervous, clutching at his rabbit a bit tighter for apparent comfort. "I...I-I-I...I'm...we..." He took a breath before trying again, peeking at her from under his hat. "I...c-c-can we...can we...t-talk?"

Unfortunately for Garrett, there was nothing in the pocket that he tried to pick, except maybe some dirt and lint. Abel jumped forward a bit and rubbed his shoulder, wincing. The pain had deteriorated into a dull throb, but he was sure it was still bleeding a bit. "Sorry, sir," he apologized.
(holds pool noodle threateningly) Do you want to know what we do to artists?

Eve looked sad that he had pulled away from her so he felt bad, but he had to get back to work on the challenge and he didn't wanna get teased anymore. She told him that she was sure the doll was meant for him. Ben shook his head. "You can have it," he told her. "I have one of my own," he explained. "Besides, I gotta get back to the challenge, someone might pass me up. So you can hug this doll and... think of me." He realized the implications of what he was saying and his face flushed deeper, before he smiled at her sheepishly and moved towards the library, face red as a beet. "See you later, Eve," he told her. It was so embarrassing, he hoped that the others didn't comment any more or laugh at him.

"Yeah, that's what I thought it sounded like," I told the kid on the other end. "Just wanted to be clear."
Sans sounded like he wanted to say something, but whatever it was was interrupted by Plague Knight dragging him aside to talk about something. Right. I needed to talk to him about those kids, still.
I should wait for them to finish first, though, shouldn't I.
In other news, we had a sore loser in the house. Guess not everyone could be graceful about this, could they.
The other girl was holding onto her tact, though. But oddly, according to her...Caro seemed a bit too familiar with her? Enough to get worked up about her, even. Either Caro had seen her in an anime, or...
"What's a Lost Logia?" I asked, intrigued. "Some kind of plot coupon?"

The dude then left but not without making a pun first. That was weird, but weird enough to make Sans let out a little laugh. He then walked back to the group just in time to hear Fate talk about how Caro acted like she already knew her. This being Ms.Can't-Lie-To-Save-Her-Life, now would be a good time for him to step in.
"there's books in the library about the worlds of everyone here, since you're from the same world as caro we gave it a read before we got here, it gets pretty messy," he told Fate, nothing indicating that he was lying.

"Ben, thanks for allowing me to use this. Talk to you later about getting my own? That way so I can get to know all of my new teammates!" Sora throws the walkie talkie Ben's way. Hope he catch's it. With that, Sora rushes back into the City. After running all about for several minutes, he finds a arts and craft store. With a blue giant knitting in it. Why, he might have even have confused it for a monster if it wasn't for the attire of it........Is it wearing a sun hat? Ok, Sora was both curious and confused.
He walked up to Lily and told her, "Hello, I'm Sora. I think I saw you at that glass building earlier? It's nice to meet you!"

According to Tairee, Lewis had just left the library. Looks like the universe wasn't going to let Rex make that wish without putting up a fight.
"Of course he did. Nothing ever goes according to plan"
As for the Annas, they wanted to know if they could get tacos here. At least he could have fun with that.
"Sure, just ask the lady over there. She loves being the chef of the city. Isn't that right, Tairee?"
And just to prove that the universe is sentient and wants to fuck with Rex, Jackson of all people was there and making fun of the Annas for choosing him as their boyfriend—He really needed to fix that last part. There was too little time to deal with him properly and, besides, he seemed to know the Annas. They probably had some catching up to do.
"Hold that thought" he said, lifting his index finger in front of Jackson's face and pressing his communicator to call Sans "Sans? You better pick up the phone, dude"

Lily was finishing up Cole's sweater when someone started to talk to her. "Hm? Oh! Hello, dearie," she said as she looked up. She recognized the boy from outside the library, barely anyway. He introduced himself, so Lily responded, "my name is Lily, but you can just call me grandma!"
Lily looked back at the sweater she had made and nodded, satisfied despite the collar being a little too big for Cole's head and the sleeves being different lengths. She placed it to the side and started on a sweater for Caro, this one pink with little hearts on it.
After she began her second sweater, she looked back up to Sora. "Would you like to help me make some sweaters for everyone, dearie?" She asked him, pointing at the yarn she had collected. She didn't get extra needles, but she knew where to point Sora to if he was interested.

It was a good thing that Eve had managed to calm down. That boy that showed up clearly knew her very well if he managed to get her to feel better so easily. However, Lewis took my attention off of them when he told us he'd be leaving to continue to take part in-
Right! The challenge! I had completely forgotten! I could truly do with a wish. Perhaps it would allow me to bring my family back. However, destiny seemed to have other plans for me.
Cole approached me, hiding under his big hat and holding onto a stuffed animal of his own, sort of like a little kid would, and he asked me if we could talk. I didn't see a reason why I shouldn't talk to him, but I was still a bit wary because of what had happened last time.
"Uhm... of course," I answered with a quick nod. "Would you... err... would you like to talk here, or... would you rather go somewhere else? I'm fine either way, really."
The library got busy in pretty short order, but at least the crazy guy with a sword seemed to have finally stopped trying to kill Miss Tairee. "Gee, you try to kill everyone that you want help from?" she muttered, maybe loud enough for him or his mask being to hear, maybe not. She didn't paricularly care as she turned see some of what was going on, and noted a score screen conveniently visible on another building facing the library, at least for now.
"Hmm..." Curly took a piece of paper and started writing on it before turning to whichever Tariee seemed least busy at the moment to hand her the paper after she asked "Miss Tairee, is there any chance I can get some maps of someone's world? Preferably from about the time she arrived here"
On the paper was written in neat print:
Please keep this confidential between us for now, it's a surprise and I think she'd prefer to chose who to share the information with, even if nobody else here can get to her world

She...seemed all right with talking to him. A little hesitant, and somewhat distracted. Maybe he better try to make this quick.

That was pretty much to the point, and hopefully a good enough means to start.
"And there's another... Wait what?" Jeff's voice said over the speakers as a bright, red light appeared above Fate and Arf. Unclear as to what just happened, the announcers went a bit silent and mumbled to each other until mere moments later when another bright, red light appeared above Fate and Caro this time, along with their firing range.
"It's another firing range match with those magical girls! AND IT'S OVER JUST AS FAST AS BEFORE!" Adam's voice said, once again getting more excited than he usually sounded.
"And look at that, in just two short matches we have second place taken off the board and a new name taking first! First to ten, mmm! Man I bet she's feeling good about that!" Jeff's voice added on, quite enthusiastically.
"W-we... That's done it" Thomas muttered nearby Caro, looking at one of the score screens. "We have first and second place; if it goes to the final match now, the City Knights are guaranteed the wish!" the young wizard elaborated, sounding excited and triumphant.

3rd Place: Rex Salazar, 4 points.
"Rex" Miss Tairee greeted Rex simply with a nod. "I think the person you're looking for just left for the stadium" she then informed him.
Following in behind him, the Annas looking around in slight awe. "Neat place... We can get tacos here?" Anna-Maria said, sounding just a little confused.
"Why if it isn't Anna!" a familiar voice suddenly called out. Jackson got up from the couch he'd been sitting on and walked over towards the pair, arms out to either side and a big grin on his face. "Man I haven't seen you since that zombie day. Say, you two still wanna throw that party?" he asked them.
For a brief moment both Annas actually looked a bit happy and excited to see Jackson, but after a few moments both seemed to think about it, then looked a bit nervous; Anna-Maria seemed to get to that first. "Oh uh, hey Jackson. We've been kinda busy with other stuff to think about it much" Anna-Maria stated.
"Yeah, h-have you met our new boyfriend, Rex?" Anna-Rose said, once again sort of hug-grabbing Rex's arm in a sort of desperate fright disguised as loving affection.
Jackson looked a little taken aback, and incredulous. "Boyfriend? This idiot? No no, you can't be serious" Jackson stated.
Hearing Anna-Rose call Rex 'our boyfriend', Miss Tairee raised an eyebrow curiously in her otherwise neutral expression.
"Huh? I'm Louie" Louie's voice answered Lewis, though sounded like he wasn't sure what Lewis was talking about.
"Yeah, post-stealing Christmas, just like I said" the first Fanboy said, giving a nod and a smile to the Grinch.
"Cool to have you around" the second Fanboy commented.
Then both of them looked back towards the adorable scene... And started having to stifle laughter as Cole went ahead and blurted that stuff out loud.
