Up to you. Though he's free for interaction in the library considering he's just kinda laying there. Though Sophie does have his little gerbil friend right now doesn't she lol

I thought of having an ambush happen but one way or another Sans would probably teleport immediately either way, unless I had him get killed by the surprise attack, I guess

Just had a fantastic idea for a way to fortify stuff for the invasion. Pykrete. A material with the same durability as concrete, but made from sawdust or other wood pulp, like paper, and lots of ice.

Now, where can we find a large supply of ice and paper...

Of course, Jack has buggered off somewhere, so it probably won't happen.

Are you really asking where to find a big supply of paper when the characters' base is the library of everything?

Nope. It was a rhetorical question, tone just has a bad time transferring to text.

Here now, fully recapped. I'll probably only get one post done tonight, and it might be a bit until it's up; I'm gonna be checking some other things before I start working on it.

@Alleydodger: Ah yes, the dramatic tension is definitely and totally on purpose and not just a happy coincidence of me not being able to post much this week. >_>

@Syrika: Miss Tairee is busy and wouldn't have heard Sadness outside from all the way at her desk. You can go ahead and have Sadness be pulled into the library by the militia.

DAMN I missed a lot. Couldn't post yesterday due to Yellowstone charging for Internet and my phone being able to get wireless since Tuesday.

Something makes me think that Lt. Wells won't react too well to hearing about an army that seems to use Child Soldiers.

Alright, so now I've got one of the mechanics of the upcoming fight introduced, namely that you'll have to split defenses to the four different directions of the library as Lt. Wells indicated. And like I said, that may very well be my last post for tonight, though I'll actually still be on for another hour or so.

@Firock Just as a heads up for when things start really kicking off, once the horde hits the city Jack will be near the edge and ready to try his hardest to slow them down to give people time to flee. Just to give a more solid idea of his position, in case it helps.

@Full Moon: Maybe now Sans can explain that Cole can't turn into a gerbil so Sophie can stop focusing on that.

@James Shields: The barricade is inside the library. They moved the bookshelves so they would basically replace the busted windows as the walls of the library.

I'm pretty sure I already explained this.

EDIT: Also, I need to get going for tonight. Tomorrow's shift is a bit long unfortunately, especially since they asked me to stay an extra hour to help cover while new employees are being trained and such, but once it's over I'll be free for two days at least! They should have my schedule for next week available while I'm there, and with any luck it will not be as crazy and as busy as this week was.

Once I'm home I'll almost certainly take a bath, and might rest in bed for a while, but other than that I have no plans for after work. I would like to hang out with my friends if at all possible, but we'll see.

And this week of school is done. And I'd like to mention this: I was asked by my class president/student body president/friend (that peoole still joke is my boyfriend) assigned me to lead for our class's presentation with my own choreography and you know what happens? I end up not doing anything at all 'cause they decided to have no class this afternoon. And that was after panicking about making and then memorizing my own steps and then working on it ALL NIGHT.

As happy as I am that school ended early, I can't help but laugh at how worried I was.

At least I enjoyed practicing to one of my favorite songs. ^note Cheerleader by Omi. Pentatonix version is best version.

EDIT: Oh, and before I forget...

Sorry for not posting lately, I had some difficulties. Should be able to fire off a post in thirty hours or so though.

I haven't been able to post much either, probably since my sleep schedule is totally shot! Still, I managed something. At this point I'm just trying to avoid making more mistakes over the setting.

Not sure if this leaves Sadness open to talk to anyone, because most people are staying on the first floor to help.

I'll probably get a post in no earlier than the day after tomorrow.

Hopefully that'll be time enough to join the big fight . (and if not, maybe Rick and Morty can pull off an eleventh hour heroic rescue?)

I'm trying to catch up, but expect Plague Knight to eventually start throwing bombs like the crazy person he is.

@Locoman: Well I'm pretty much going to start the battle with my post, so it's gonna have to be something more like the eleventh hour backup.

  • In one of the streets: Zero, Ben, Rex. NAE: Four XCOM 2 chryssalids.

• North section: Caro. NAE: None.

• East section: No player characters. NAE: None.

• South section: No player characters. NAE: None.

• West section: No player characters. NAE: Dead Space necromorph brute.

• Unclear, need to specify zone: Karkat, Mega Man X.

Since battles outside the library could still tie into the ones at the library, all are being treated as the same battle in terms of my current posting rules. Every player character who isn't listed above I am not currently counting as in the battle in terms of posting rules, such as anyone just talking to others or hiding up in the upper floors of the library.

And hopefully by keeping this sort of thing going here in the discussion thread, I'll make this battle far less confusing for everyone else.
