Fuck you, Iok.
- I really doubt that Gjallarhorn is going to care about Akihiro et al's excuse for fighting. There will be (more) blood.
- Iok needs to die quickly. Ignoring the enemy's attempts to surrender and firing on unarmed escape ships are war crimes. I do hope that Julieta reports him for being willing to hit her as collateral damage.
- Speaking of Julieta, the Julia's first sortie did not disappoint.
- RIP Naze and Amida. If only you took Iok with you...
You wouldn't have really expected Iok to end up doing that sort of thing from his introduction. I'm uncertain if he survived

I never thought that I could hate Iok this much. I just figured held do stupid shit and be called out on before being pushed aside for someone else to get the story moving. But after this episode...
I really hope he gets what is coming to him. I have no sympathy left for whatever may happen to him.
But yeah, this was one hell of an episode.
Edit: Okay, now this is funny. There's a tag trending right now over on the Japanese side of twitter called “Let’s think of the most satisfying way for Iok to die”. It looks like everyone is salty over Iok.

I do lots of stuff. The real question is am I any good at that stuff.looks like it's official: Iok "IdIOK" Kujan is pretty much the most hated character in the entire Gundam Franchise.

Sed regresso retributio. Carpe Diem. Deus lo Vult...I find it funny he's even compared to Carta on his profile in the character page, because hooo boy' he has zero concepts of outdated chivalry or at least following some form of rules which Carta lived by to the death.
He also got way more non-combatants killed with his acts.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. The fight between Amida and Julietta was cool. Akihiro's "Why is she going to strangle me?" line was funny. Everything else was...
The way the Hammerhead served away at the last second was very bullshit. Are they going to keep Iok around until the finale so that they can have a falling mobile suit, preferably one of Teiwaz make, fall on top of him?

My Megaman and MegaTen liveblogsMaybe he survives to the end and effectively gets away with it?
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. Here's that trending twitter tag for those of you who are interested.
I do lots of stuff. The real question is am I any good at that stuff. The Hammerhead didn't swerve away. It just hit the wrong bit of the Halfbeak and bounced off, possibly as a result of all those railgun rounds shifting its momentum.
What's precedent ever done for us?I bet Iok felt like a big man blowing up all those fleeing and defenseless women. Guess he's no longer the funny guy. Neither Julietta nor Amida disappoint in their battle. Naze and Amida were always going to bite it, but they managed to go out swinging. And at least Lafter and Azee made it out. It's hard to say what sort of repercussions this will have on Tekkadan, but I'd hope to imagine even Gjallarhorn would disapprove of what Iok did if word gets out.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. No he's still pretty much a joke despite the murder. Looks like Zapp Brannigan taught him the ways of war.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.I was expecting Iok to go out like Djibril when Amida fired her last shot. It would have been amazing to get a repeat of theseexpressions.

Iok has officially crossed into Hate Sink territory. I want Mikazuki to give him a worse beatdown than he did to Carta.
Yeah, Carta would've actually accepted Naze's surrender. Iok crossed the Moral Event Horizon all for the sake of saving his reputation.

And he proceeded to call it honor.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession.Honestly, I don't understand Iok in this episode. Even if you accept that he had to destroy the Turbines (which was wrong, but he didn't know that), as soon as he got them declared an illegal organization and forced them to disband, he'd won. Murdering them to a man was unnecessary, and using illegal weapons to do so is especially unnecessary.
That said, I'm not sure if Iok survived or not. I could see it going either way. If he's still alive, chances are he's going to be in a world of shit when it comes out that he was using illegal weapons against a group he attacked because they were accused of merely moving illegal weapons.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. His ship wasn't destroyed. Naze's ship ended up ricocheting off of Iok's and crashing into the one next to him. So I think he lives to fuck up another day.
I doubt that Iok will get in trouble for using the Dansleif against the Turbines. It's not the first time Gjallarhorn has broken the law to maintain their power. He might get in trouble for firing the railguns while Julieta was in range, but considering how much of Iok's crap she's put up with so far, she probably won't pres the issue.
And as much as she disliked it she felt relieved she got help defeating an opponent she couldn't.
Every accusation by the GOP is ALWAYS a confession. His ship wasn't destroyed, but they explicitly pointed out the fact that the bridge was still out and exposed instead of retracted for combat and the camera angles obscured whether or not the bridge was still intact after the impact with the Hammerhead. It's possible that he bridge was damaged and Iok was injured or killed — it's also possible that he lucked out and made it through unscathed.
Personally, I think it makes for better story if the Turbines managed to take him out. Iok seems to have served his purpose, and I'm not sure what his continued presence adds to the plot. Letting Naze and Amida have that one little bit of revenge would be cathartic.
Really from Jupiter, but not an alien. It's still not a good look for Iok though. What should have been a simple Detain and Arrest mission ended with one of his ships getting destroyed, a good chunk of his Mobile Pilots and men killed, and majority of the Turbines actually escaping.
Like he may escape being officially reprimanded but I doubt he's going to get back into Rustal's good graces like he was banking on.
The Hammerhead didn't hit the bridge. I watched the scene thrice to make sure and it's still visibly there.
Fuck you Iok, fuck you, fuck you FUCK YOU!!!
God damn I knew this episode was going to end on a sad note but fuck this got me worse than Fumitan, Biscuit and Aston's deaths.
No doubt Gjallerhorn will cover up Iok's war crime antics unless Rustal himself feels Iok went too far and reprimands him. Then again he runs the fleet that came up with and carried out the Dort Massacre with the Regulatory Bureau so probably not. It would be satisfying if Iok's big 'win' ended up ruining his rep worse when Rustal finds out he used the illegal weapons that were used to frame the Turbines.
Too bad nobody got footage of the refusal to acknowledge the ceasefire and surrender orders or the usage of those pile drivers. Then again it would be over all too easy...
I hope Amida's fight and words with Julietta and her own revulsion of Iok's tactics shake up our little 'Pawn'. Yes I'm referring her to a pawn as she like Ein before her is all too willing to be used without putting any thought of their own into life.
Ironically this makes Ein, Mikazuki and Julietta the same in their vein of relegating their lives and ambitions toward others in charge of them. While Ein did emote a desire to avenge Crank on his own, following superiors did nothing but encourage this (to Gaelio's horror afterwards and for Mc Gillis's benefit). Julietta is still too much of an open slate to know really what makes her tick besides tidbits we've been told. We need her backstory show in flashback to have a better understanding.
Mika meanwhile shows there's a human being in there but he's so tied up to his promise with Orga and unwilling to climb out of the life style he grew up with even with new options opened to him; all because of that promise and Orga being unwilling to tell Mikazuki to step back and think for himself. Of course Orga would have to acknowledge his own semi-toxic dependency on Mikzauki and well others ave speculated on their bond better than I so I won't rehash.
RIP Naze and Amida, and to all those who died in the escape.... fuck Iok....
I'm gonna go build my new Barbatos Lupus kit that just arrived, and image as I build it, it's braining Iok in his shitty sniper unit.
Fly Gundam! Autobots ROLL OUT! COWABUNGA/BOOYAKASHA!!Well, Iok has officially joined the very exclusive club of fictional characters who I wish were real so I could murder them in cold blood with my bare hands. Said club includes the likes of Shou Tucker, Gendo Ikari, Medusa, Skullface, Light Yagami, etc.
