That bitch be cray

She's seriously creepy.

RIP Domon, you were the other best character in the show.

You're right, I get annoyed by the general incompetence of our protags and Gus a shit.

The only reason they haven't been caught yet is military ability to fail against all odds. It's remarkable, really.

This episode...

Jumbled mess of romantic relations. Gus cries. It turns out the Councilor wanted Felia to go to the Altar all along - so why did he impend them at every turn? Moura not only sucks at fighting, she also doesn't know shit. Black Moura is evil. why is there even a second Guardian? Cliche "if you spare him I'll do what you say" cliche. Sogo has a breakdown and comes back from it thanks to a single slap. So Black Moura can fly wherever, but Moura is too lazy for that shit. Next episode Human Moura!

This show is so weird.

Having not watched the latest episode, I'll comment that the second guardian thing was foreshadowed with that story about the gods of light and darkness or whatever fighting at the start of the first ep... So since they've set it up, I'll expect it to be a plot point that'll be explained eventually. But, um, we'll see. This show is kinda... okay.

[up][up]I'll guess that he did that so he could bring her to the Altar himself under controlled circumstances?

So he had a black Moura all along?

Whatever, Moura in girl form next ep

One. He wanted Felia brought to him, personally. The "Black Moura" waiting at the Altar may have been his final fail-safe option. Remember, his "secretary" is a shape-shifter, and she's not with him while he's cackling like a loon, staring through the telescope.

Two. Have to agree that the military really doesn't seem all that competent, or disciplined.

Three. While the main protagonists can be excused because they're children, Do Mon should have known better, in so many ways.

As of this latest episode, I officially have no idea what the fuck is going on anymore. We've got one more episode for things to be unpuzzled.

Aha! So Black Moura was behind everything all along! Her motives are vagues as hell. She wants to create a new world on something?

Oh and Moura transforms into a girl because boobies or something dunno. And goes all spiderman.

Malvina was hilariously awesome with her bread based weaponry. [lol]

Oh look, the incompetent Goldfish Poop Gang shows up to... help? Whatever they weren't interesting in the first place.

Kaon team goes to reenact Endor Moon mission, thankfully without the Ewoks.

How did no one notice an entire planet descending upon them. It's a planet, it can't exactly sneak up on you!

That last episode better be good, because this is confusing.

And then, in the finale, Sogo gets nabbed and then Felia has to fight the final boss to save him. That's a pretty pleasant last minute reversal of the standard narrative. Was the only thing that really grabbed me about that ending though. Well, that and Gus taking over Domon's shop.

I like how all that destruction meant a shit load of people died.

Kaon and Roman married with kids yet can't fight his receding hairline, Otto an astronaut, and for the lolz, Gus is Domon 2.0, pedo becomes upstanding citizen, and psycho still at large.

I can't even remember what the fuck happened to dark guardian or what Felia and Moura did to fix everything. Like all things, there was potential for good story but lol at that.

Not the best meme watch it could have been and to the good show it was never going to become.

At least it had nice designs.

in the end, this felt like a two cour show that got cut to one cour halfway through, from the way the story faffed about in the early episodes to how everything related to the overall plot had to be stuffed in the last three.

It made it hard to care and honestly I'd liked it better had we stayed with the faffing about and just had a slice of life sci-fi story about Felia learning to live with Sogo and co.

Because what charm this show had lay with its characters and world building, not so much with the plot or story. I liked seeing Kaon and Sogo function as Felia's surrogate parents and their interactions with Roman and the rest of the cast and the plot intrusions just interfered with that.

I dropped this show around the fifth episode. Honestly, the one thing I enjoyed about this anime was seeing Felia as the surrogate child of Sogo and Kaon. Then when the kid suddenly ages up and they start shoehorning a romance between her and Sogo, I just couldn't take it. And then Kaon ends up marrying the idiot she was trying to get away from in the first place. Talk about a shitty ending for my favourite female character.

Other than that, I never cared about anything in this show. Clearly a poor man's Eureka Seven.

Yeah, it was a very enjoyable adventure show in the beginning with the slow-ramp up to the main plot, then...things got very compressed in the last couple of episodes. Among other things, we never got any particular characterization for Otto or Puck (or even any indication as to why Puck's so competent at violence). We also never finished the Kaon/Roman character arc - she kinda worked through her feelings for Sogo a bit, and Roman proclaimed that he was going to woo her, but we never got a chance to actually see that happen? Same with the dark Guardian lady, and her motivations - she was introduced to late to do something other than just rant and be Evil. We didn't really get a chance to explore her as a character.

I don't really mind the reveal that Sogo has the key to Felia's powers, though it'd have been nice for that to at least be shown a bit more? It makes sense given that Moura needed him to transform, but why could Felia use her powers without him being around?

Overall, I think it was a good show that was bogged down by just not having enough time to tell the story it had properly.

Yeah, this feels like a lot of wasted potential, especially after Felia grow up when the show takes a turn for the worse, with confusing plot and last minute exposition, fights that look like blind drunk people trying to fence, pointless characters that go nowhere (hello Gus and his flunkies) and the contrived romantic developments. Felia suddenly grown up = Instant love! Kaon ending with the very guy she was running away from? Makes sense!

I have to agree that the first part, where it looked like a story about Sougo and Kaon taking care of Felia and showing her how humans live was much better. It was fluff, but it was much more fun to watch than the sub par second part.

Seeing how different the first half is from the second half, it makes me think maybe the writers tried to mash up two totally different series together and it ended in a mess.

...Pretty much what everyone's already said, really. Could've been so much better until Felia had a random age-up, and I guess completely different writers took over or something?

Moura losing basically every fight ever bugged me. Okay, I get that Gus is pretty good at fighting, but surely a magical laser-shooting robot that can fly would have a little more luck? I think she won, like, two fights total, and both involved an intervention or Sogo piloting her. And why exactly did he join Sogo, again? Last I remember, he was yelling over Do Mon's death, now he's suddenly an ally... and running his old shop? I guess Sogo's extremely forgiving.

At least the visuals and opening were great.

Oh yeah, I realized that we never find out exactly how Earth's people offed their Angel. Was it because of something similar to what Zoldenboyle was trying to do?

[up][up]The finale being compressed means that we go from Gus dropping in to say "I'm not on your side, but I'm not against you. I'm just trying to find the person who killed Do Mon" in one episode to working with the guy he was fighting to help evacuate people in the next. Which is a good showing of common sense, professionalism, and general care for the well-being of the populace on both sides, but is still jarring since we don't see that transition happen.

...Ugh, what the heck happened? this show had the makings to be great, but then the second half decided to be a klutz when it came to "tying things together", thus becoming one of the most superficial adventures I've ever seen. ....Should it really be considered an adventure?
