I'm going to wait for a general agreement...
Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server. How about a ghost town?
Something something Arena.I vote against the spaceship, simply because we've already got that. I agree with a setting that's in flux, and preferably not an "empty" one like the Arena, there should be PvE possible, with another player playing the "environment" challenges of course...
TL;DR I like JAU's idea.

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."I think I'm going to do this.
Also, I agree with Jau.

off the shitsHopping on the bandwagon.
Something something Arena.-Ignore me, Jau edited since I agreed. I still agree, though.-

If we're hoping on my idea, it's probably best if every character comes from the same City of Adventure.
And yeah, I wasn't expecting a setting that things keep changing but there's no reason something that has changed could be changed into something else, chaos is chaos!

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree. The characters are us, all magically warped to the setting and transformed up.
And yeah, the bandwagon definitely seems to be swinging towards JAU's idea, so...

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."We should actually vote on whether everyone comes to the same City of Adventure or if people are from different locations but dragged into a location of chaos.
If we do the latter idea, the Player Characters should only be a fraction of the amount of people brought there and changed. More interesting if we see a lot of changed NPCs.

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.Changed NPC's would be chaotic, since someone would have to make them all up, and then there would be a lot that would become relevant to keep track of, but I wouldn't be against NPCs in general.
As for the former idea, there will be no vote. The point of the thread is that the PC's are us, as we would be tomorrow, only changed - and we have to deal with it.

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."Which means that we need to prepare for the early stage and figure out the tricky things later.
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.Well, I doubt most of the NPCs would be relevant, I was thinking of something like Sword Art Online or Log Horizon, where there's a countless number of people but most are regulated to the background.

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree. We should probably choose a place where we show up, though, even if we don't establish the wider world at first.
I just was like "squeeeeeeeeee!" because I saw Log Horizon mentioned.

Ah, yeah, fair enough, that works... still, I'd be worried about making everybody there changed, since it'd take away from the PC's uniqueness, make them just faces in the crowd whose only claim to fame is that the story happens to focus on them...
I'd like a story/roleplay about extraordinary people doing extraordinary things (at least, by the standards of the setting), or at least, ordinary people having extraordinary things happen to them that make them extraordinary (at least, in the setting) and hopefully learning to do extraordinary things...

"We can handle what is true, for we are already living it."I'd like a setting where it's kinda like a modern day city as far as technology level.
And Iunno, I think it would be cool if other people were changed or got powers too.
I'm personally of the opinion that tech should be near-modern, just for the sake of simplicity.
And for those who don't know this by now, this is 4maskwolf's RP account, and likely the account I will be using for this game.
If you give a mouse a cookie, it can burn down the world. I burn.I was thinking that the NPCs would be played by the players who created them (seeing that I most likely won't be able to play the NPCs because I already GM a separate thread, and I'm busy with work sometimes). Also, maybe they shouldn't be changed.
And, again, I am going to wait until there is a general agreement about a setting (preferably, it has a map).
Anyway, my main thought is that it'll involve just the Player Characters (AKA us) first, and then others will be able to add NPCs as time goes on.
As for the changing environment, well... I dunno. Maybe the change can be applied by all players when they want, but they should post the change in header format, and say it in the Discussion page.

Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server. What about TC_Hydro?
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.I'm just fine with everyone living in the same City of Adventure honestly, with people staying where they are but the Player Characters changing along with areas of the city.
Preferably, I'd like the city that's around metropolis size.

Some people say I'm lazy. It's hard to disagree.Well, I'm alright with that.
But what metropolis-sized city should the setting be?
Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server. We could just steal a real map and make modifications, like use New York or Los Angeles.

Creator of the Avatar Arena and its Discord server.
So... When do we start?
Something something Arena....Hmm... I wonder if the reason why spaceships are popular is because they can go wherever the fuck they want?
The fact that only 140 characters are allowed here is honestly so disappointing to me.
I like JustaUsername's idea.
