"The force and resources required to pressgang me would be hard to re-earn with me." Halle reasoned. "Assuming it's a pitched street battle, I will have no concern for collateral damage, unlike my captors. My own destruction stacks on top of anyone I could take with me until then..." She trailed off. "But the more important concern is what could incite it, which is very little. Monarchy might not be the best around, but as long as our Monarchs are fair, and as long as my Father fought alongside a royal in Beacon I don't think I'm in danger." She thought some more, then pointed at James with two fingers. "It would be a pretty compelling story, though. A powerful android on the run from a government that wants to protect its people at all costs, including the freedom of the android... You know, I've considered a documentary, but maybe a fictional story would be interesting too."

Party

Scarlet let out a small "hmph" and leaned back, crossing her arms. "Who's nervous? I'm not nervous about my dumbass partner and his insistent desire to sleep with everything that shows a slight interest. I have better things to do than get caught up with this sticom bullshit." She said, although she only sounded like she half believed it herself.

Party: Scarlet Tsundere

Selene just stared at Scarlet for a few moments, an amused look adorning her face. "Uhuuuuuuh. Well at least I know how you feel about me now... And how I feel about you." She blushed a bit at that last line.

"A-Again, it would k-kind of depend on w-where exactly you're...f-fighting. I mean, you s-still do sort of h-have the advantage, what w-with being able to be p-put in another b-body or shell, but you s-still shouldn't be so r-reckless..."

The boy sighed, giving a reluctant nod and muttering that Halle had a point that she was probably good at keeping a level-head and not getting...aggravated.

"Still...you'd be surprised on w-what connections with certain people can do. And, um...actually, that might be an interesting novel..."

Party

Scarlet cocked her head a little to one side at Selene's words. "Oh? Do you mean to tell me that those practice sessions were just an excuse to see me work out?" The biker teased, trying to regain the ground she had last from earlier.

Zhi took a chocolate with a respectful nod, popping it into his mouth. At the same time, Amethyst shook his hand. He quickly swallowed down the chocolate and smiled. "That seems to be the case. It is a pleasure to meet you, Amy."

"Well, Father also taught me all about making IED's, so if I have advance warning I'll make sure to cause some trouble." Halle replied. "I will fully admit to recklessness, or perhaps brashness." She swiveled an arm around and pointed at Marvin. "Seeing as I just successfully propositioned Marvin. Sometimes I'm willing to approach it with subtlety, but if that isn't the best route there's no dishonor in being blunt." Which reminded her of two things: familial connections and bluntness. She owed Duncan an apology. Engaged as she was with James, she had to take another option: texting. Halle stared into space briefly as she shot Duncan a message.

Sorry about kicking you out like that. We can have a for real fight later if you're interested. My joints bend weird and I don't feel pain like you so it's possible you could have some interesting gimmicks here.

She refocused, lenses clicking back into focus rapidly. "I'd still rather not get blasted into an intelligence on a black box. Transferring bodies is painful and frustrating and opens all sorts of... compelling philosophical questions... Hm. For that it might be worth it, actually."

"It also takes a lot of resources, and in my case I am pretty sure only my mom could build another body like mine, it is not like you can just plug a sentient program into any computer and expect it to run us, any more then you can expect a cats brain to work at the levels of a human or a faunus" Suzune replied, trailing off a bit...

Party

"Well... no..." Selene said shyly, blushing again. "But I will admit it was rather nice." She said, sporting a slightly perverted grin towards Scarlet.

Halfway through his second attack on the buffet, Duncan heard the tell-tale sound of a ring bell going off (his message notification) and quickly stopped to check his scroll. Whipping the battered and decade old device out of a jacket pocket, Duncan quickly took a read through Halle's message.

So, that's three who wanna tussle now, I best get schedulin' this or I'm goin' to be up to my ears in fightin'. Wonder if they'd be down for a handicap match.

After sending his message off again, Duncan finished off the meat pie he was halfway through before sauntering off in no particular direction, mentally booking his next few fights.

Dia made a faint smile as she saw Zhi take a chocolate off the plates. She felt happy to have helped others out. (Politeness is something I was taught.)

There were still quite a bit of chocolates left on Dia's plate. ("Who to share it with...?")

The green haired girl then remembered that her winged friend Iris loved these, and decided to find her and her partner Morgan. Miss Rayfer then sauntered off to them, asking the two if they wanted chocolate. "Good morning, Miss Aurion, Miss Krigsvart. Would you like some chocolates?"

"But all the physical bits that I have can still be held onto. That is, the drives storing what could be called my intelligence. That's what I mean." Halle responded to Suzune. Her eyes then unfocused again, shooting Duncan a text back: I don't have a good time right now. I'll let you know when I've got a more definite schedule, sorry about that. She then refocused on Suzune. "Sorry. Texting with Duncan. Had to make amends and schedule a real fight, because he thought me hooking up with Marvin was actually a fight. He's smart though, figured it out after I asked if he wanted to join us. You want the footage, by the way? I guess in Duncan's own terms it would be a VOD or something, right?" She 'smiled.'

Iris then turned and looked at Dia, offering her and Morgan chocolate.

"U-um...do any of t-them have...caramel inside?", Iris meekly asked.

"Sure, Iris. These have caramel in them."

Dia offered Iris some of the rectangle-shaped chocolates. She had eaten them earlier and could taste the caramel inside of them.

Party

Scarlet let out a amused sigh. "Well at least you weren't watching me change." She joked before taking on a bit more of a serious expression. "So...where does this leave us? I mean...yeah we both have a crush but does that mean we're automatically dating now? Or just that you want me to ask you out on the first date?"

"T-That's...not q-quite what I was saying, I-I mean, if your makers managed to build you a-and the c-core...programming o-or whatever was still intact, they could a-at least make a new exterior." The boy sighed at the two robots, looking a little perplexed. "I-I didn't quite know it'd be that complicated, s-sorry, I, um, apologize for, y-you know, i-implying that it might have been, M-Miss Suzune. And, um, y-you yoo, Halle."

Spinning his backpack around to grab another flask, he took a quick swig. "IED, huh? W-Well, at least when it c-comes to f-fighting and t-tactics, you're...um, l-like your, er, h-hardware. T-That's to say, er, v-versatil- ...Er...p-probably best t-to not actually d-do that willingly...I mean, u-unless it a-actually was a m-major upgrade to your c-current body..."

"Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh", Suzune just kind of sat there for a little bit trying to process the question, she was kind of curious, but on the otherhand, that was her classmates.

On the other other hand it was Marvin, who would probaly take the sharing of the video as a compliment, suprisingly that was the deciding factor in her decision, "No thanks"

"Alright, NBD." Halle said, holding a hand up at Suzune placatively. "Just offering. And hey, if you're interested in making one some other time?" She turned the hand into a point. "Don't hesitate to tell me. I want to test out all sorts of hardware upgrade packages. Have I laid it on thick enough that I have upgraded myself?" Halle asked. Legitimately, she was uncertain if James caught that she built several parts for herself. "On a more practical side I've certainly... considered stuffing a bomb in my chest when things got nasty. In the case of authoritarian states trying to draft me I was mostly referring to bombing police stations or APC's or what have you. Even without this weird nightmare scenario, I'm seeing the kinds of badass Grimm and psychos we go up against, and a grenade down a throat forced open by Zarathustra becomes a progressively more appealing tactic."

Marvin shook his head with a frown. "Not what I meant, Isa, I doubt there's much of a scent to stuff like that anyway. Maybe we could get Suzune or Halle to whip something up." He shook his head. "We'll figure this out later, alright?" He added with a confident smile before heading to find someone else to talk to. He had heard Selene singing earlier and decided to compliment her, only to find her with Scarlet. "Hey Cuz, nice to know you've got more than just hitting stuff to use." he said with a teasing grin as he walked up to them. "Although I would have never guessed you could sing like that...I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"

His face and ears burning red from embarrassment, James just glanced to the side. "W-W-Well, I-I wasn't q-quite s-sure, I mean, y-you didn't r-really imply i-it that much, I mean, y-you did say you s-sort of made explosives, but..."

With Halle casually mentioning stuffing an explosive in her chest, the boy just took a few steps away.

"U-U-Um, w-w-well, I-I...er, g-g-good luck w-w-with that..."

Party hearty

Mid-way through his self-booking, Duncan realized that there was something mildly more pressing to attend to. Wandering back over to the Karaoke area, Duncan tapped Ragnaros on the shoulder and asked "You got a minute t'spare brother?"

"Hm?" Oh, there was Duncan. Raggy smiled at Lena's cousin. "Sure thing. How can I help you, my friend?"

Harty Pearty

Shrugging, Duncan said "Figure I might as well get t'know you since you're datin' my partner after all. Also because I've a sneakin' suspicion that you're goin' t'be family within about, four to six years goin' by what my da told me about how often people end up marryin' their sweethearts once they graduate n' sometimes even before 'round here."

"I don't mind at all." He smiled at Duncan, standing up. "What do you want to know?"

He couldn't help but think about what he said about him becoming Family. Was it that long since he and Lena became a couple...?

Slowly beginning to walk off in no particular direction with the expectation that Raggy would follow, Duncan began "Well seein' as we're all here t'learn about how t'fight better, how d'you go about fightin' brother?"
