power ranger like animal motif ideas(whatever)

soooo. after looking at this, i just got a oh so lovely idea out of it. so i wanted to make a little exercise about crafting a plot out of it. so what would you say?

Sounds okay, go for it.

But give us something more. This is the World Building forum - the whole idea is to flesh out details. Right now, you could be talking about KamenRider or Kamen Rider Ryuki or Kamen Rider OOO - etc.

If the devil is in the details, the story is in the specifics. What have you got?

well. i was thinking maybe scattered pieces of ancient manifested as animal spirits or crest.

Sounds a bit like Kamen Rider Blade and Card Captor Sakura, but with medallions. (I'm not listing these shows to demoralize you, but so you have some idea of what else has been done. This is both so you avoid doing the same thing by accident and to get some ideas from them. I don't know what your "level" is as writer, so this may very well all be As You Know.)

Setting? Antagonistic forces?

it takes place in maybe somewhere in either japan or the us( most of these medallions were scattered across the globe). for the antagonist i was thinking of a entity called The blight, a eltrich hive mind.

If most of those medallions were scattered across the globe, I'd say the action should take place in various places as well, not just Japan/US. To connect the stories, how about this: each medallion allows the bearer/wearer to open a portal into some sort of main base of the characters, enabling them to interact and travel together. Maybe it works both ways, and the "base" may have a teleporter with the medallions being some sort of beacons for it.

...or you buy a few on eBay. (I'm a sucker for a comical anti-climax.)

The Blight would be a funny (and smart) antagonist if it started its medallion collection from browsing ebay looking for people who don't know what they are.
