Ugh, I just tried to do a multiplayer match and it went horribly for me XD I kept dying and had the worst luck.

Honestly this game is more fun if I know I'm screwing a human over or another human is screwing me over. cool

The only thing I can see improving this game is actual text chat, but I guess that'll only have a lot of swearing and Angrish in it...

I've been playing Zosha recently despite not having any real combat benefits... once I get a prestige lead I just hide, and if I don't I just "magically appear" at the palace grounds (ideally) with 4 spirit stones...

Stealth isn't all that good, albeit for probably unintentional reasons. You see, one of the little visual details is a small dust cloud animation that shows when a hero moves. It shows even when that hero is stealthed. If you knew where they were to begin with...

And this is not getting into the fact that every tile on the board has a specific name assigned to it, and certain actions show up in the game's event log with said tile name. So...yeah.

Thanks for the tips, I'll need to work around those problems.

I just learned a new thing today, it may be common sense, but using a card like Hot Rot Wine or Strategist gives you an extra move... even if you just moved into a palace tile. Just scored a cheesy stone victory with this. [lol]

Today's multiplayer lesson: don't BM. Ever.

I was running a game as Barnaby, and had the Prestige lead. Two other players have moved into the palace for Kingslayer (Zosha and Thane). Zosha was at full health, with that health being buffed up to 8. Thane was at 3 (out of 5) health. It was Zosha's move.

Instead of attacking the king, Zosha gets the clever idea to kill the one guard standing there first. There were two little problems though. One, moving to any palace square, even if you're already in one, uses up all your AP. Two: Said guard was standing on an unpopped palace peril: End result: Zosha's attempt to BM got her kicked out of the palace.

Thane went next, and got a Mutual Kill on the king, thus handing me the Prestige win. Given the stats, I don't doubt that Zosha could have easily trounced the king, but...yeah. Even I didn't expect to win that one. (And I was happy regardless, since I got the Barnaby-exclusive achievement that game.) Oh well, another win in my book.

BM? What did that stand for? .-.

It stands for Bad Mannered (yes, really), and has been verbed since the term was invented by Korean gamers. It refers to when players gloat about winning by doing stupid stuff in the game, because they think their victory is set in stone. Occasionally, for obvious reasons, this backfires.

Oh, that xD

I sometimes play risky though not to gloat, but because I really want those achievements xD

I would think that guard attack was a misclick... Still, a disastrous play. Should've just poked the king...

BTW, 8 health Zosha is crazy, considering her normal starting health is what, 3? [lol]

3 base -> +1 Amulet -> +2 Body from quests -> +2 Health from Bark Skin spell = 8.

Throw in 6 fight and the equipment, and that's easily enough to take down the king. (He was at 2 health.)

[up][up] Sounds good. 100% of the time I pick Zosha I always pick +1 health... (and the exploding sword ring, but I digress)

My preferred pick with Zosha is the ring that gets me Scout around my towns at night. Then I find a part of the map with two towns one tile apart (almost always happens), and then about the mid-game start camping there and killing any Bane or player that wanders in. It's easy Prestige. (It works even better if you can get a Spy Glass.)

I normally try and get more Wit with Thane, myself. Either that or Spirit.

Well, I finally got myself a Rot victory (with Sana). I got lucky and got a lot of Rot-cost spells plus the Warlock follower, so I was able to ramp up to 10 Rot pretty easily.

Well dagnabbit XD I tried to play another game again today. I would have probably won a prestige victory if I hadn't messed up attempting to get into the palace.

You do know that a Prestige win doesn't require you to be in the palace, right?

Uh, that's just showboating if you need to kingslayer while having top prestige. Because attacking the king kills your prestige to zero, of course. [lol]

Well, I've now learned that stealth is even more useless.

It turns out, if you use one of the spells that targets empty tiles to target a tile with somebody stealthed in it, it will reveal them to you without consuming that spell card or costing any magic.

Zoshas of the world, beware...

^^Hey, I have done that :P Both on rot and kingslayer victory

Its valid tactic if multiple palace entrances have been breached and King is in danger xD

I probably would have made it if I'd picked the correct declaration. Instead of putting it so that all the perils were just guards with 1 health I just removed the guards entirely XD

Sometimes you don't get good declarations to protect the palace and palace is already breached by multiple king slayers with good chances xD And can't spam lightning
