I see no reason to revive any of those shows. Especially not Victorious. This seems like a money grabbing tactic to me.
.....I think Nick is getting desperate if they go through with this. Considering how there original big hitters lost traction over the years I am not surprised....
I mean Spongebob is still doing okay but that's pretty much about it for Nick as far as I know. The Fairly Odd Parents is still around but that show has disappeared off a lot of peoples radars...

It surely has nothing to do with the recent announcements of Cartoon Network rebooting the Powerpuff Girls, Scooby Doo and Bugs Bunny, and Disney rebooting the Duck Tales and Lion King franchises for TV.

I still think Nick is sore about rejecting Adventure Time and I still don't know why they rejected The Modifyers either.
Was only aware of CN rebooting PPG. It dropped off my radar as I usually don't bother with reboots.

I hate the fact that so many things are getting rebooted these days.
As a culture, in order to go forward, we need new ideas for new creations, not rehashing the old stuff over and over. We're really in the dumps if this is where we're at.
Besides, so much time has changed that no matter what happens, the revivals will never capture what made the originals so good.
At least there will be no reboots of Rockos Modern Life or Ren And Stimpy for the time being (of course, nobody would want to touch the latter after Adult Party Cartoon)...

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."Eh, rehashing of old stuff has been a constant of human culture since the days of myths and legends. As long as there are also new stories to go along with it, it's alright.
The only revivals that really kinda worked were the ones that were done maybe a couple years after the original show ended. Like the first Rugrats revival... remember?
There's been so many announced recently I have to wonder - are we as a culture out of ideas?

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I don't think we are out of ideas they just want reboots to appeal to a new generation that was too young its been almost 20s since most of these shows were on the air.
They also probably want to appeal to the parents of children that will remember watching the show as a child it appeals to their nostalgia while remaining new.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureIt might have been 20 years, but Lord knows these shows are still as good as they were back then.

"They say I'm old fashioned, and live in the past, but sometimes I think progress progresses too fast."I guess children want new versions of older shows.
Though I'm basing this off of my nephew he doesn't really like the older versions of shows. I know when I was his age I didn't like black-and-white movies but I grew out of it.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureI pretty much agree with Aldo on this (which doesn't happen very often). A lot of the reboots of older shows nowadays just don't go over very well. Teen Titans Go and Ren And Stimpy Adult Party Cartoon are very recent examples and All Grown Up was a example from a decade ago.
Actually hold on now I think about didn't Hey Arnold already had a spin-off in the works after the show ended involving a older Helga? A show that just never really came to be out of happenstance?
The weird part about these rebooted shows that have been popping up as of recent is...do any of this shows really need reboots? They all ended on good notes for the most part....

Well, even if I don't like Go!, it's still extremely profitable for CN apparently, so that's one example I suppose. Unless you likely consider Go! a more gaiden/spin-off affair that doesn't fit into the "reboot" mold. Which considering what original "Go!" was...

My art Tumblr![1] Really need to get back on that...Nick is just continuing a trend of cashing in on 90s nostalgia which began with making Teen Nick's midnight block into "The 90s Are All That" (which amusingly suffered rapid Network Decay in the sense that the selection was broad at first, but narrowed quickly to only a few of the classic shows). Ducktales was more late-80s, but it's the same thing. It's a trend lately.
It would only become worrisome if the reboots were all they were doing, so more of a problem in Nick's case (though Bread Winners and Pig Boat Banana Cricket are running now).
Bread Winners is still running? I thought that show lost traction ages ago.....
Not many people really talk about it anymore. Well accept for the people who disliked the show from the start.
9 '90s Nicktoons That Defined Your Childhood - What to Watch 03:51 Some options include the likes of Rugrats, Hey Arnold, You Can't Do That on Television, and the much more recent Victorious. Variety suggests that any revivals would not take up much of Nickelodeon's development efforts, and it's possible they would come back as a movie or one off special, rather than a full series.
While Hicks didn't give any specifics on the titles, he did say that people who watched Nickelodeon in its early days are being listened to. "We are getting ready to bring back some of the ones they've told us multiple times they want to have brought back," he said.
