Common Room––Teen Titans

The blond new girl would soon realize that, unlike Dracula's bride, a certain redhead didn't even bother to ask. Starfire had just flown, like a blur, ignoring her bodyguards to peek at her artwork. She giggled, puting her right hand in her mouth to muffle herself.

"Your artistic skills are quite admirable. That whimsical Garment reminds me of the globknork battle celebration's traditional outfit back at home," she said referring to the tiara and the cape she had been drawn with.

"Raven, you must take sight of your artistic representation," Starfire told Raven.

Starfire closed her eyes and smiled. The alien princess knelt with one leg towards the girl.

"I am starfire. What is your name little one? Would you like to be my friend?" she said without any pause.

Hell's Gate Tokyo

How fortunate! The officer turned out to be extremely cooperative!

Elphelt nodded at both the officer and Trevor, figuring this was a fair deal. 'You scratch my back' and all that...

"Sounds good to me. Shall we be off?"

Mitakihara

With the opposition severely crippled, and their attacks slowing down, Sin took the opportunity to cease his own assault, get up on top of a ruined tank and shout an offer down to the cowering troopers, whilst brandishing his flag, just because he wanted to be cool like that.

"I think that's enough blood spilt, yeah? The rest of you can end this right now if you want, peacefully! Just drop the guns and go back to where you came from!"

HGT Portal: Can Somebody Please Give This Guy A Hug?

The officer wrinkled his face as he recalled the most recent "tourists" to wander through the portal.

"They're kids, from what I could tell. A boy with a mask and cape, and a girl with red pigtails. Boy came through first, and didn't waste time trashing the place. Not really sure when the girl got here, but by the time that spaceship got here" and here, the officer pointed straight to the abandoned shuttle down the street, "she was beating the crap out of my squadmates."

He scratched the back of his head, turning his attention to a small crater by the sidewalk. "Between the two of 'em, I'd say the girl's more reasonable. She kicked our ass, yeah, but at least she left us in one piece. By the time that masked kid was done with the space guys, most of 'em were missing limbs, and one of 'em was blown to bits."

A few extra bags seemed to form under the officer's eyes. "Wish that was the worst thing I've seen happen here."

When Trevor asked for discretion, the officer simply shrugged. "Fine with me. Just don't make me regret it, okay?"

The Institute, Exterior: Go Sweep Yourself

The cloaked Contractor didn't realize her situation until it was too late; fortunately, she had an ally to back her up. As the AT-ST started "sweeping" Walker 2, the pilots would notice that the blasts separated and deflected off into the structure behind her, as if the bolts were striking an invisible bubble. Eeking behind one of the CIT columns, a girl in a green track suit glowed a light blue. Her shining red eyes were locked on her teammate on Walker 2.

It wasn't a perfect defense, and both Contractors knew it. The hatch wouldn't budge, and without any other options, the cloaking Contractor took a heavy risk and leaped from the walker's head. Even while breaking her fall with a roll, the Contractor cried out in pain as her ankle broke on impact. Holding her cloaked ability for dear life, she clawed her way through the dirt. Sooner or later, that walker was going down, and she'd be damned if it fell on her!

Her part done for the moment, the track suit Contractor returned to her hiding spot behind the column. Out from behind a tree close to the road, a boy with purple eyes activated his power for a second time. Another pit of concrete mix appeared beneath one of the "sweeping" walker's foot, and the guerrilla fighter ducked behind his cover before the AT-ST could switch targets. That being said, he was certainly visible from the pilot's monitors for the few moments he glowed a cold blue. He fully expected the walker to fire on his position; the cannon's subtle kickbacks would push them deeper into the muck. It was only a matter of what would break first: the Contractor's cover, or the walker's balance?

As the Femme Fatale kept the final walker busy, the grounded pilots might notice another blue light emitted from behind some construction barrels by their half-engulfed walker. The strike team's leader, Luca, aimed two rubber bands at the assaulting pilots. The bands, wrapped around each hand like bullets for makeshift pistols, fired faster than any elastic ever could. Turned into bullets in their own right, Luca aimed her shots carefully: one to strike through the copilot's skull, the other to rip through the pilot's blaster-holding shoulder.

Ikebukuro Hospital, Third Floor: Keep Cool, Shengshun, Keep Cool

Lee's stuttering protest against "wetting himself" went nowhere, even as he followed a few steps behind Kida. He could summon courage to talk tough, sure, but this was clearly not in his comfort zone!

So when 4 troopers started storming down the hall, the college student's knee-jerk reaction was to grab Kida's wrist (the one that wouldn't shoot his toes off in the process) and pulled him into the closest doorway. If the young General protested, he'd be promptly "Shh!"ed like the teenager he was. Once the stormtroopers were on their way downstairs, Lee let out a heavy sigh and stepped back into the hall.

"Sorry about that, boss." he muttered. "Glad those were just grunts though; can't waste time on them, right?"

His smiling relief suggested he was thinking about more than just saving ammo. Maybe he didn't want to fight with the medical personnel in the line of fire, or maybe (despite his occasional tough-guy talk) he just didn't want to fight at all. Either way, he wasn't up for just storming through the place.

HGT Police HQ, Upper Levels: Are They Listening?

"No!" Misaki said to her phone, loud enough that some of the nearby police officials stopped to glance at her.

"I'm...alright here, thanks." she tittered, deciding that now was a good time to step into a conference room for some privacy. "Things aren't great right now, but...I'm taking care of the problems as much as I can. It's actually pretty liberating; nobody's leering over my shoulder like they used to. But maybe I'm still a bit paranoid—after so many years of tapping wires, I must've gotten used to them. I can't tell when the feed's rolling or not, know what I mean?"

Genosha, Post-Ambush: Townsville's Genosha's In Trouble!

If Amber was bothered by the grenade issue, she didn't mention it; they had bigger things to worry about.

"Nora and Maki have engaged the Empire's main forces down on Mc Coy Street. There should be Red Guard agents to back them up, but they're going to need your help. Get there ASAP!"

Ikebukuro, Russian Sushi: RIP Jack Simon (Reprise)

July left the tank as the large Russian man gave a hearty laugh; apparently the boy was satisfied with this answer.

April listened to Tom's denial with some healthy patience, something probably fueled by the beer she'd ordered with her sushi.

"Can't blame you for shrugging it off, but there's more right in that video than wrong. If you ask me, that's part of the problem."

Judging by the way she glanced at Dennis or Simon every time Tom said "Contractor" or "Gate," the debt collector might pick up on her concerns they'd get too curious. It wasn't like they had other customers to bother.

But as luck would have it, that's when Huang chose to join in: "So where you guys get your fish?" the older man smiled to the Russians with pride. "Turns out I'm a bit of a fisherman myself; trout n' carp're my specialty..."

With someone to talk (at least one of) the Russians' ears off, April could ease back into her seat. Tom, on the other hand, wouldn't get that luxury as a chopstick was driven hard into his side soon after mentioning the dead Contractor was a hoax. July continued his assault by repeatedly stabbing Tom in the same damn spot.

"Behave yourself, July!" April scolded, though not with the same harshness the act deserved. "He doesn't know Jack was our partner and he certainly doesn't know how he died. Mr. Tanaka knows better now, so he won't be spewing that bullshit again."

July paused, then drove in one final jab before dropping the splintered chopstick and taking his seat beside April.

"Don't mind him." April apologized, mimicking Tom's earlier words with a grin of her own. "He can be awfully sentimental, and I'm afraid he doesn't bark—he only bites."

Trevor, Hell's Gate Tokyo

"A girl with red pigtails?" Trevor repeated with a hint of recognition in his voice, before turning to Celty and Elphelt. "I believe I've met her before though she only has one pigtail... I think she's on the side of righteousness, making her an ally if we stumble onto her."

"If she attacked officers, it was more than likely in self-defense," Trevor explained to both her allies and the overworked police officer already there. "She is a extremely skilled martial artist."

"Thank you, kind sir... We shall be off." Trevor bowed slightly to the officer, before looking at Celty to lead them to where they needed to go. He was perfectly happy leaving the police officer alone and planned to keep his word.

Lady’s Phone

There would be a moment’s pause. "Hmm. Phone will have to do. We’ll try to contact you half an hour after we have confirmation the platform is neutralized. Nishimi out." Lady may or may not realize that at this moment they still did not have any means to accessing the Common Room where she had come from.

Bridge Alpha

The surprise move did require Kyoko to react fast by using the flat side of the spearhead to deflect it. She had to position it at just the right angle to deflect the laser blast away - unfortunately, it was at that moment when that large blade in the sky fired at one of the Imperial Crawlers, disrupting Kyoko’s concentration and causing her to lose her balance on the top of the car. The laser ended up grazing her right shoulder just as she fell off the top of the car and to the ground. "Agh!"

Kyoko had two things going for her, though. One, she had fallen backwards off the car, meaning for the moment the body of the car was shielding her from the trooper’s line of sight - fortunate given her somewhat awkward position of her back on the ground while her legs were left resting on the back door. Two, Homura at that moment was looking through the scope of the Dragunov SVU at Kyoko’s situation, meaning she saw Kyoko take the spill and immediately went to line up her sights and fire a 7.62 round at the Stormtrooper. Center mass would be the easier target, but in general troops would normally put the heaviest armor there and she wasn’t sure contemporary rounds would be enough to penetrate or even slow down someone that seemed to have futuristic stuff. A head shot would be more likely to put this guy down once and for all, but that’s only if she actually hits him from this distance. That’d have to do. Homura would take a shot first at the super trooper’s center mass, which may or may not be enough to stop him - that’d be fine, as her second shot would be for his head if she could distract him from Kyoko, give her enough time to recover and be able to defend herself. Ten-round clip might be enough to at least buy Kyoko time

Meanwhile, Mami, not knowing of Kyoko’s predicament, was more focused on where that big laser beam came from - she had caught a glimpse of it around the smoke that was largely blocking her view of the battle and most definitely heard it. Remembering the flying figures she had seen come to their aid a few minutes before, she turned to the other side of the wall within the office she had taken refuge in to look out the next window, trying to see if she could spot their own guardian angels. Her attention only turned back towards the battle when she heard Sin’s voice offering surrender terms to the Imperial troops, summoning a musket in case one of the Stormtroopers rejected Sin’s offer out of hand.

And on the periphery of this battlespace, the cavalry emerged. Once Lady had tipped off the Americans that the Imperial command had been decapitated and the first units had begun to report back that, yes, the industrial area wasn’t responding against their probing attacks, Harris gave the order to push back, stiffen resistance, contain and take out the remaining forces. For the irregulars engaging near Bridge Alpha, those higher up in elevation would be the first to notice the four-wheeled vehicles coming into view in the distance, ready to tighten the noose.

Imperial Shuttle, Folkestone Base

In one tucked-away corner of the ride that would put the motley crew mustering at the mecha-musume military base, a small white alien space ferret buried itself between a couple of small supply boxes. Kyubey might have had the advantage of being able to hide himself from the males in the group in Mitakihara, but Lady had already proven earlier in the day that she could (just) see him. And knowing that they were about to land in the one outside group consisting of many more of those that might also be able to spot a stowaway, he kept himself inside. Much as he would like to know more about these girls and why their magic energies were so strikingly similar to the Magical Girls under his charge, that would have to wait for another time - there were simply too many people there to risk it now, especially if his lack of invisibility that was demonstrated back on the first day in the Common Room was repeated elsewhere.

Martial Arcs - Cavalry, AWAY!; Genosha Palace

"Ren! Nora needs our help!"

The dark-haired boy was startled by his friend's sudden exclamation, but as he turned to the assembled mutants and contractors, his face was a stoic mask.

"Apologies, but we have to leave. It has been a pleasure fighting alongside you."

"Yeah, it was a great ambush guys, we should do it again sometime. Great work!"

Both boys turned quickly and set off running down the hall, at a speed much faster than their normal appearance would suggest.

"Amber, we're gonna need directions to Mc Coy street.

Bumblebee - To the victor, the spoils; Common Room

Two girls emerged from the Zi-Jin Cheng portal, the blonde carrying two bars of gold under her right arm, while the raven-haired girl loosely gripped a futuristic rifle.

"Hey, Blake? Are there more chairs here than there used to be?"

"And more portals too."

"Guess the Cure added more people. You think they're okay?"

"If they came in after the invasion started, they might not have been attacked."

"A lot of the people here are kids."

"So are we, Yang."

"I don't think we count anymore, Blake."

Hotland

"Good fortune, Delta Squad," Asgore replied, before hanging up on Boss. Part of him wanted to work an I'm Sorry in at the end. But the other half stood firm and said no, no apologies just yet. Not while Sev was still alive and there was hope to bring him back. With that, he turned and headed after the rest of his men.

New Home

Well, that was enough for Asriel. If at least one of his new friends wasn't ready to give up the fight, then by god, neither was he. If everything weren't so chaotic right now, he might've questioned how he'd become so dependent on other people's opinions already, but now was the time for action. "Right behind you, Mao!" he cried, and raced after the cat as fast as his little goat legs could carry him. Hopefully, it would be enough to catch up with the commander before she reached the cavern exit.

New Home via CORE

03 and 04 blocked a few stray shots headed right at them, and unfortunately, this was enough to slow them down while the elevator doors slid shut. One journey up, and Sev had reached New Home. The elevator shortcut to the final corridor lay clear before him, as did the long route through Asgore's house, and with the sheer length of the elevator ride up, he had at least a twenty second lead on the other three.

Ikebukuro, Power Plant Outskirts — Minako

"Hmmmm..." Though The Fool nodded seriously as she listened to Aozoki's rejection, she still cracked a slightly mischievous pout immediately after and scratched the back of her head through the aqua fabric of her hood. "I wasn't even gonna attack 'em, Mister. I just wanna get any workers trapped in there out, y'know? Besides... it's not stupid-ass." In one motion, she drew her hand back from her neck, set a gun(?) flush against her temple, and pulled the trigger.

"Bishamonten."

The motifs and stern visage of the likeness that quickly congealed out of pale mist were doubtless familiar to both of the Yakuza — and any other Ikebukuroer who happened to be onlooking, for that matter, for it was the foremost of the Four Heavenly Kings, easily found in any of the country's many Buddhist temples. With the magic he had been commanded to cast decided in the same breath that had summoned him, the god raised a hand to point at Aozaki, and while the deity winked out of existence as quickly as he had appeared, the man's maimed mitt began to glow brilliant white for a few seconds.

Meanwhile, Minako twirled her evoker with practiced ease and holstered it into thin air while she waited for the healing light of Diarahan around his once-mangled appendage to fade. Once it was finished, the spell ought to have completely healed his hand — or at least any part of it that hadn't been detached from the rest in the past. "How's it feelin', Mister?" she inquired anxiously, leaning in a bit to peer at it, "Any pain?"

Mitakihara — Yukari

Yukari took a few seconds to judge the distance, and then gladly hopped off the increasingly unstable roof onto the Autobot's hand, clinging to one of his fingers for dear life. "Thanks, Bumblebee!" Her adrenaline-addled mind reasoned that had been brought on by hearing her mental tirade rather than the obvious fact that the structure was no longer sound, but it only seemed reply to his voice in kind.

<Phew. Right, so...> she answered Mami after a few more seconds, peering over the top of Bumblebee's digits as she and her robotic new bestie traversed to a new location, <Sakura-san's doing more than fine — she's basically mowed them down except for one guy who gave her trouble for a minute. Akemi-san already got clear; no clue what she's doing now. We both already heard Sin-san just now, so that's that... battle basically over, I guess, especially with the Americans riding in. And those planegirls, but I kinda lost track of them. Hey, when's the part where we get out of dodge so they don't know your secret identities?>

Common Room, with Titans — Aigis

"Under normal circumstances, I would be required to conceal my true status due to protocol. However, you are correct." Aigis nodded at Raven with a slight smile of her own. "I am a robot. My specific designation is: Seventh-Generation Anti-Shadow Suppression Weapon Aigis."

In response to the male Titans' wailing and gnashing of teeth over their favored pies, however, the gynoid cocked her head. "Please do not be distressed, Beast Boy and Cyborg. Given the prevalence of areas originating from and similar to Earth, there is a very high probability you will be able to locate at least one establishment which sells pizza. ...Additionally, although he is not currently present, there is at least one individual who is 'chunkless' like yourselves and was able to procure fresh pizza from his provided room. Taking into consideration the fact that beverages and foodstuffs are readily replenished in such rooms by as of yet unknown means, his supply of pizza can be inferred to be effectively infinite."

Ikebukuro Rooftop

"I don't see a lot of things, don't mean they're not there." Horada said defensively, ushering Deadshot down the stairwell. Falling in step behind him, Horada chewed on an unopen stick of gum, pretending it was a cigarette. "And it's a space ship, we can't use bullets on it. Space is, like, a thousand times worse than bullets, all the time." He held his hands up so that his forearm imitated a rifle, closing one eye as he laid sights on an imaginary target. "Unless, like, you fired a bullet that hit another bullet, so it goes up the turbine, where it hits a third bullet..."

Horada would taper off eventually as he led the assassin out of the one building across a few city blocks, stopped at the second building's base, broke in a window after failing to kick in the door, and used the stairs to climb to the roof with Deadshot in tow.

Ikebukuro General Hospital Basement—Generator Room

Croc and the crew would trace the wires to a locked door, which would be easily dispatched after three good kicks or one good claw. Inside, a somewhat intimidating array of switches comprised what must have been the hospital generator, looming imposingly in the dark.

After a few minutes of staring at it, waiting for someone else in the group to do something, the teens gradually began playing on their phones, waiting for further instructions.

Ikebukuro General Hospital First Floor—Lobby

The lobby grew still for a few quiet moments, the assorted youths playing the parts of dragonflies alighted on the water's surface. Gun barrels twitched in anticipation, brows were wiped as tension mounted, and one question came to the forefront of all of their minds: would they eat the gnat, or get eaten by the fish?

One youth was determined for it to be the first. As soon as the first Storm Trooper poked its head around the corner, a youth with a yellow sash would let out a cracked-voice war cry and start unloading on the corner, prompting his fellows to follow suit.

Ikebukuro General Hospital Third Floor—Broom Closet

Kida's fingers rippled in nervous, determined anticipation as the stomping of Storm Trooper boots drew near. This was it, their first chance to show these Imperial punks what for, and—and now he was in a broom closet.

As the quartet stomped away and Lee peeked out, Kida stood at the closet threshold, arms crossed, one finger tapping almost comically against his hindarm. "Lee. Buddy." He said in a measured, impatient tone, "I feel like you're not totally on-board with the plan here. Those guys over there? They're exactly the guys we need to jump, in order to get their helmets. We can't afford to be choosy here dude, we're not exactly here on VIP passes!" Kida peered down the hallway at the retreating Storm Troopers, and then beckoned Lee to follow him as he pursued them at walking speed. "Second," he continued in a low murmur, "there's no reason to hide, remember? We look just like everyone else. That was the point of putting my boys downstairs in so much danger."

Kida reached down to tap his gun gauntlet arm. "Now, if you're having second thoughts about this whole killing thing, that's cool. Reality is a hell of a thing. Just help me lure them to the stairs, so I can ambush 'em. I won't need to worry about aiming if they're all focused in a straight line." He said, remembering exactly which of the switches would let him spray and pray. "I just need you to help me think of some way to keep them out of the elevators. Are you with me?"

The Offices of Izaya Orihara—Lobby

To their potential displeasure, Weiss and Ruby would find just three things in the duffel bag.

The first was a full-sized suit of Storm Trooper armor, which Sloan helpfully took from them a parcel at a time to lay out on the floor. It seemed to comprise the majority of the weight, to the point where when he was done, the bag hardly weighed anything at all. "Is very impressive, da?" The grey-haired assassin said, looking over a shoulder piece with an appraising eye. "Just one dead Storm Trooper in all Ikebukuro, and Mr. Orihara finds him! Is like fortuneteller, with pocket knives."

The second object, obviously accompanying the armor, was a standard-issue Imperial Rifle, with a piece of duct tape hastily wrapped around the trigger and the front of the trigger guard, evidently to stop it from accidentally going off in the bag. Vorona made to snap it up as soon as it was visible, peeling off the duct tape with no small amount of distaste toward the treatment of the weapon before bracing the stock against her shoulder and looking down the sights, getting a feel for its weight. "If mishandling has caused weapon damage, am taking it out of your hide." Vorona said off-handedly, menacing one of the lobby's ferns with the barrel.

Nakura gulped down a bout of recognition toward the woman who had stolen his dad's bike, before turning back to Ruby and Weiss with an uneasy grin. "I-I couldn't just let you guys go into battle unprepared, right? I did everything I could to get you everything you need. Even... that." As he spoke, he pointed to the bottom of the duffel bag, where the last item lay flat. Shaking his head solemnly, he reached in gently to take it out, the gentle crackle of plastic filling the room. Holding it before the two girls, they would see...

...a dry-cleaned, sealed, Japanese academy's female uniform.

Peeking his head out from behind the garment, Nakura's face courted a thousand-yard stare. "You don't even know, man."

"Come on, it's for my girlfriend."

"Snrk. Yeah. Your girlfriend."

"Awwwww..."

Nakura's head rocked gently side-to-side, lost to the depths of the indignity.

HGT Portal

We won't say a word. Celty showed to the guard, before becoming momentarily self-conscious about how pedantically true that was. She turned to Trevor with a grateful nod, glad that he had come along, especially since he seemed to be so familiar with the area. Even so... You're telling me martial arts did all this? Masked teenagers she could buy, considering everything she'd seen (and fought!) so far, but how much could self-defense really justify taking out a city block?

Before that thought advanced much further, Celty's non-gaze landed on the parked shuttle for something like the third time, and an idea struck. Reaching her hand up to the smoky mass constantly emenating from her stump, she tucked in her middle fingers and visibly exhaled, in a pitch-perfect headless recreation of a horse-whistle. Afterward, she began typing again, her phone held so that her companions would be able to see. If my hunch is correct, we won't have to worry too much about being "late to the party." I think I've got a way to get us to the police station, and in close to boot. But first Celty posed awkwardly, not quite sure how to frame this next bit. Do either of you get motion sick at all?

The Offices of Izaya Orihara—Outside Street

Shooter's opaque surface sat quietly in the parallel parking space, letting out the occasional muffler snort and spinning its front wheel in place to paw at the ground. When suddenly, on a frequency only he would ever be able to comprehend, the horse-turned-motorbike heard its master's call.

With a sudden revving of tires and a whinny that echoed through the city streets, Shooter tore off into the minimal traffic, heading sure as a bloodhound for its headless master's current location. Through the border to Hell's Gate Tokyo, and beyond.

Trevor, Hell's Gate Tokyo Portal

"No... Someone else attacked this place quite a while ago," Trevor noted to Celty when she was incredulous at his statement, crouching on the ground and pointing out the bloodstains that surrounded the portal. "These bloodstains near the portal are at least a day old... Not anywhere near fresh enough to have been done by the masked boy who decimated the Empire's knights."

"I cannot say who did it, though," Trevor frowned and crossed his arms, standing up once more. It would be obvious to our poor distressed police officer that Trevor was pointing out the signs of Vergil's massacre from two days ago.

"I think I know what you are planning, Celty, but how are all of us going to fit on your horse?" Trevor asked Celty, oblivious of the fact that Celty's 'horse' was, in fact, a motorcycle. However, this statement made it obvious that Trevor knew that Celty was a Dullahan even though he had yet to bring that subject up with her.

White Rose - Izaya's Lobby

Both girls looked at the items with some confusion (and furthermore at Nakura's reaction to it), before realisation dawned on Ruby's face.

"So Weiss is gonna pretend to be a student, one of you is gonna pretend to be the Stormtrooper that captured her, and I'm going to be covering you guys from outside? That's pretty clever. Who's gonna be dressing up?"

"She is, you dolt." Weiss replied, motioning at Vorona. "She's checking the gun for damage."

"Oh. Yeah."

Weiss stepped forward and snatched the uniform from Nakura's grip, inspecting it. The fabrics looked similar enough to what you'd find on Remnant, if slightly less durable.

"I'll go get changed then. I won't ask where you got my measurements, I'd rather not know."

Weiss stalked off to the nearest bathroom, leaving Ruby alone with Vorona and Sloan. Rather than strike up a conversation like a sociable person, Ruby instead pulled out her scroll. She stared at it for a moment, before remembering to re-set Weiss, Blake and Yang up on the aura monitoring screen. From the looks of it, Yang and Blake had gotten into a fight already, and Blake had taken the worst of it, but their auras were still just edging into the yellow. Jaune's aura, on the other hand, was definitely yellow, and Nora's was lowered, but still green.

A quick check of her message told her the whole story: Yang and Blake had met lightning guns, Nora was currently fighting, and Jaune had been hit by a grenade. Not one of Nora's though. Her aim had gotten better since that incident.

Weiss returned, now clad in the uniform of Raira Academy, alternating between fussing with the bowtie and the skirt. She did make a few concessions, however: she still wore her fannypack of dust, and her high heels. She put her own dress into the duffelbag, zipping it tightly, and handing it to Ruby.

"Must it have a bowtie?"

"Bowties are cool, Weiss."

"It feels like a collar. And the skirt..."

"What's wrong?" Ruby asked, looking at Weiss skirt before she noticed what was out of place. "...it's not a combat skirt."

"No, it isn't."

"...awkwaaard."

Lady/Han-Shuttle

Lady nodded as the general hung up, before her phone beeped with another incoming call, which she quickly switched to.

"Yep, that's us in the shuttle, we're making the approach now, should be landing in a minute."

Meanwhile, Han raised an eybrow at the incoming call, debating whenever or not to ignore it. If the Imps were wondering where their shuttle was, he'd have to think fast. But that was one of his best skills, so he picked up the call, only to raise his eyebrow. So far as e had been aware, all of the clone commandos had long since suffered clone degeneration or whatever.

"Er, sure, buddy that's us. You, er, don't work for the Imps, right? I've go a bunch of people on this ship with a lot of primitive guns that probably wouldn't be happy if you do."

"Hey! Who's guns are you calling "Primitive"! Lady yelled in annoyance from the back.

Mita Street Slaughter

The sword wave from Mio ended up splitting a tank cleanly in half. At this point the Imps only had a single remaining undamaged tank, the rest destroyed or stuck on the ground.

Death Star Armory/Shooing Range

"At ease." Mott said. If he noticed her reaction to the name, he failed to say anything. "Now then. Tarkin says that you are new to the wider galaxy, hailing from this planet that we're probably going to be blowing up in the next 2 or 3 hours. So, first step is to give you a quick orientation on what to expect."

He motioned for her to follow him to a table with various items on it, one of which he picked up. "This here is a holocom, a portable communication device that lets you see and speak with people, even when they're half a galaxy away from you. I've already programmed in my personal frequency in the event you need to get in touch with me."

He took a moment to show her the basics of operating it before moving on. "Now, of course, when you're on the ground, you'll have communications built into your helmet which let you speak to squadmates on a local channel while keeping your hands free to engage the enemy."

He then picked up a [1] rifle and handed it to Havoc. "Speaking of your hands, meet your new best friend!" He said, suddenly turning on his "Drill Sargent" voice. "This is the Blas Tech E-11 Blaster Rifle, the standard firearm of Stormtroopers across the galaxy. This weapon fires powerful blaster bolts, giant bolts of light that leave anything hit a smoking mess. You won't do much more then singe metal walls, but against light armor or flesh, it is a very effective weapon, and thus the galaxy has long widely adapted this form of weapon over the "Slugthrowers" that seem common on your primitive homeworld."

"As for the technical specs of the weapon, here is what you need to know. Your rifle is rated for an optimum range of 100 meters, and a maximum range of 300 meters. This is not a sniper rifle, do not waste your time engaging your targets at range with it, it is meant for close combat in packed corridors or starships. Your weapon makes use of plasma gas cartridges that are rated for approximately 500 rounds per clip. You have the choice to switch between semi-automatic 3 round bursts and full auto fire, but keep in mind you're not going to be hitting very accurately in full auto. The [2] bottom also has an extendable stock you can use."

He paused a moment to demonstrate. "Your weapon can also be switched between stun and kill settings, using this switch. Standard orders state that all weapons are to be set to kill unless specifically ordered otherwise by your superiors. Lastly, your weapon also has a scope that can interface with the targeting systems in your helmets HUD. Although that doesn't seem to help certain recruits very much! He said loudly, clearly referring to the struggling stormtroopers behind him. "Any questions?"

Genosha Palace

(Feel free to interrupt the following at any point in time in your next post Theo)

Vicket picked up her comms. "Vicket here."

"We have a problem!"

"Don't tell me you started an incident."

"I didn't start the incident! We've been attacked by local forces!"

"Are they organized forces, uniformed combatants? I'm not jeperdising our negotiations because one foolish rebel tried to take matters into their own hands."

"No, they're not, but I fail to see why we should take chances! An example needs to be made! Take one head for every ten citizens, and they will not dare raise their hands against us again!"

"At least let me talk to the king first before you start a massacre because you could not put down a single unorganized force with an AT-AT."

If she had not been interrupted by that point, she would hang up and make her way back into the room.

Genosha Streets

The flying units scattered as the grenade came for them, managing to evade as it ramed into a building behind them and exploded. The tank was not so lucky, and started smoking badly, stopping as the crew attempted internal repairs. However, the flying units saw their target flee into a building.

"Smoke her out!"

One unit descended a bit lower, and unloaded a flamethrower into the building Nora was in, starting on the second floor and going down to the first once that was completely in flames. Meanwhile, the force chasing the contractor were all knocked down as planned, and needed some time to all get back up and reorient themselves. However, in the chaos, the contractor would easily be able to get away.

Mahora-Deans Office

Dante's jaw now matched Neros as he saw the coin be split in half. Testing this, he pulled out another and used Rebellion on it, only to have the same happen. He then forced himself to chuckle as he tried his best to regain his usual grin and fight back images of dollar signs in his head.

"Out of curiosity, how much is this exactly in dollars?"

Sypha, Folkestone Air Base

"That shuttle is Lady's so don't shoot it down!" Sypha told Eila and the rest of Folkestone's troops, before overhearing what was going on in the shuttle from the cellphone.

"Oh uh, that is Fixer of Delta Squad... He apparently has a way of communicating with the shuttle directly," Sypha explained to Lady, before raising an eyebrow at Dresden. "Delta Squad are allies of Mr. Dresden."

Apparently, Sypha expected an explanation from him.

"No, we don't work for the Imperials.... We'd rather not work for those who rob us of our free will and force us to work for them with a chip..

Fixer responded to Han's response, ignoring the small outburst of a woman when Han talked about primitive guns. Judging by what Sypha was saying about not shooting the shuttle down, this truly was the shuttle taking them to the death star.

Finn, Common Room

Finn's jaw hit the floor as he watched the blonde-haired bombshell and the black-haired beauty walk in. Hello...ladies. Walking over, he put on his best cool strut, before stopping in front of them and giving his best dazzlling smile.

"Hey ladies. I'm Finn. You can call me the Finnster. That's a priviledge I reserve for special people."

Piper, Common Room

Piper watched Finn's attempt, before decided that as funny as it would be to seem him fail, she should probably stop this before he went too far. Walking over, she grabbed Finn by the ear.

"Sorry about this. Finn, come on."

Dragging him by the ear away from the duo, she dropped him near Radarr before walking back over.

"Sorry about that. My name's Piper. What's yours?"

Nora - I fell in to a burning... building?; Genosha Streets

Nora hit the second floor just as the jet trooper finished lighting it up. That, naturally, was a problem. She dashed straight through the flames in her way, trying not breathe in any of the smoke, smoke which stung her unprotected eyes and made them water. Offhandedly, she fired a grenade at the front wall of the building. The explosion would blow the wall outwards, raining flaming debris onto the street below - and likely the fire-happy trooper.

Through the flames before they could burn her, Nora continued her dash up the stairs, once more switching Magnhild to it's warhammer mode. Instead of slowing to turn, she kicked off each wall as she reached it, conserving her speed for where she needed it. The heat finally reached her legs, well past the fire itself, and a glance over her shoulder confirmed what she could feel: whatever substance the Jet Troopers used for their flamethrowers, it stuck to surfaces. Like Nora's shoes, and every surface she stepped on.

That was a problem: it was a small drain on her aura, but a constant one, and it would add up eventually. And if she was still on fire by the time her aura conked out, it would not be pretty.

Trailing fire behind her and feeling slightly like Yang all the while, she reach the locked door leading to the roof, which she rammed off it's hinges and over the lip of the roof.

The next thing to hit the lip of the roof was the head of her warhammer, as Magnhild dug into the low wall and sent Nora pole-vaulting into the air. Not randomly, of course: her course was aimed at one of the Jet Troopers, in attempt to grab on him and piggy-back him like an Ursa.

The poor troopers probably expected some sort of fierce battle-cry. They likely didn't expect the girl to choose "WHEEEEEEEE!".

Bond - Ground Control to... everyone, really; Shuttle Above Folkestone

Bond glanced between Han at the front of the ship, and Lady in the back, and put two and two together.

"You're both talking to two different sets of people on the ground. Is either one of them air traffic control?"
Bumblebee - A swing and... the batter just knocked himself out. Wow. That's honestly impressive; Common Room

There was silence.

I mean, not really, the Common Room was a hub of activity and conversations. It was always going to be pretty loud until the day came that it was no longer in use.

But both Yang and Blake stared at what just happened in complete silence, trying to comprehend it. However, the floodgates had to open eventually, and that they did.

"...privilege?"

"That kid was younger than Ruby."

"I need a shower."

"That was actually worse than Jaune."

Both girls looked at each other and started laughing, the ridiculousness of the event finally sinking in. After a few moments to compose themselves, each girl extended a hand to Piper.

"Yang Xiao Long."

"Blake Belladonna."

Piper, Common Room

"Well, like I said, I'm Piper. Nice to meet you."

Leaning forward she shook their hands, Yang, then Blake, and whispered quietly.

"If it helps, he tries it with a lot of people."

Honestly, he was soo embarassing.

Aerrow, Common Room

Aerrow had watched as Finn had flirted with the newcomers. He was thinking about stepping in (good impressions and all that), but Piper had done it for him. Breathing a sigh of relief, he noticed the other group, who also seemed to be new, were already mingling. Somewhat unsure of what to do, he decided to introduce himself the two girls Piper was talking to. Walking over, he lightly tapped Piper on the shoulder.

"Oh hey Aerrow! Guys, this is Aerrow, leader of the Storm Hawks."

He waved, a little awkwardly and Radarr on his shoulder chittered a hello.

Others, Common Room

Finn whimpered and rubbed his ear, while Junko patted him on the back, and Stork muttered about doom and gloom.

Mitakitahara-Trooper Slaughter

Meanwhile, while one tank was sliced in half, the fire slowed down as one man demanded surrender, cauing the commander in the lead tank to pound his fist.

"Who is this primitive to dare to demand our surrender! Order the men to cut him down"

"Sir, the impact appears to have damaged our comms systems. We can't contact the men!"

"Useless, all of you! Move!" He grabbed a blaster and moved for the hatch, popping it open and aiming at Sin.

"The Empire does not surrender!" He yelled as he fired at Sin.

Meanwhile, the man who had been dueling Kyoko began moving forward to finish the job, before he was hit in the chest by a sniper bullet. He, on reflex, looked in the direction of the shooter. However, he was not swift enough to move in time to avoid the first headshot, and the force of the shot, while not enough to penetrate the helmet, sent him reeling backward. Homura would have enough time to see other, more vulnerable points of his armor. For instance, the unarmored neck area that, with a perfectly aimed shot, would most likely kill the man.

The Insitute-Interior

The man at the computer looked back at the Major. "Sir, I think more are on the way!"

"Blast it! Ok, move, get to the control center!"

"What about the prisoner, sir?"

"We have no more men to spare to guard him. Kill him."

With that order, one of the men would lift his blaster to shoot the man point blank in the chest, while the rest of the unit moved forward at a brisk but cautious pace, wary of more ambushes.

The Institute-Exterior

The sweeping AT-ST quickly reported in. "The border has vanished! Likely has a cloaking device, and also seems to have a portable shield generator of considerable power! Stay on alert!"

Then the AT-ST that a moment ago was being boarded sighed the purple eyes boy. "Target sighted!" He yelled as he began firing at his cover and slowly sunk into the ground.

Meanwhile, the dismounted drivers did not fare as well. One went down to the ground, dead before he hit the ground, and the other was completely disarmed. His other hand flew into the air.

"I.....a Jedi! Don't, don't hurt me, please!" The man appeared to have all but crapped himself in total fear.

Ike Hospital-Rooftops

"Kid, I think you're misunderstanding. Sure, shooting the ship with a bullet will do jack shit. Even explosives might not be enough depending on armor. But I'm not aiming to completely blow it up. All I need is to blow the door open. Then I walk in and shoot the shit out of their control panel. Think of it like a car. You don't need to blow it up to disable it if you shoot the dashboard and rip out the ignition wires. They still won't be going anywhere anytime soon even if the thing still runs."

The kid would have a moment to reply as they reached the roof, before he was suddenly shoved to the ground.

"Get down!"

It seemed the Imps had not left the shuttle undefended, as two troopers were standing guard. Both began firing at Deadshot, who made no move to take any sort of cover from the fire as he lifted his rifle and fired twice, killing them.

"Ok, guards are down. Still alive kid?"

Ike Hospital-Basement

Croc grunted, and stood around much like the rest of the kids while he waited for further instructions. A few moments later, he stomped behind one of the kids playing a game and silently watched, not saying anything (Not that he could anyway)

Ike Hospital-Lobby

The troopers quickly took cover at the corner, and a brief firefight broke out as the two groups exchanged fire. Then Harley walked behind the kids and reached for another grenade, pulling it out and cocking it for 2 seconds.

"Bombs away!" She yelled cheerfully as she chucked it at their position.

"Gren-" The yelling trooper was cut off as the thing exploded, taking down most of the troopers, who lacked sufficient cover from the blast and shrapnel.

Han/Lady-Folkstone Shuttle

Han shook his head. "Unless the Imps control this place completely now, this ain't air control. No offence buddy, but I'm gonna need more assurance then your word that you're on the up and up."

"My friend on the ground just confirmed it, he's legit." Lady said.

"You sure you trust her? She could be on their payroll now."

"She's not." Lady said in that sort of hard tone that would not tolerate further argument on that point, making him throw up his hands.

"Ok, ok, fine. I'm coming in for a landing, and if we get ambushed, toots, you're paying me extra."

"If you call me "toots" again, I'm going to shove my boot into a very unplesent place."

Genosha-Nora

As predicted, the flame trooper failed to react well to a building wall exploding more or less in his face. If the bricks did not kill him, the impact with the ground that blew up his jetpack and scattered burning flamethrower fuel everywhere did. Meanwhile, the unlucky unit that Nora jumped on top of dropped his rifle in total shock.

"Gah, what the-get off of me!"

Thinking quickly, the man engaged his jetpack and rapidly ascended, moving toward the bottom of the AT-AT, a move that would cause the top of the piggybacking Nora's head to slam into the walker at something approaching 40 miles per hour unless she took action.

"I think you're right, the fight's almost over. And none of us were taken offline, which is a huge plus." The lights on Bumblebee's dashboard blinked as he spoke to Yukari and he pulled to a stop beside a series of burning car wrecks, getting a good view of the last few Imperial resisters, and their tank. "I think that's the last of them right there. Maybe now is a good time for us to make ourselves scarce, you know?"

Santa Destroy - Shuttle 3

A warm smile crept on Henry's face as the pair of pilots pulled out blasters at an attempt at his life. He was proud of them, really, he was. The Tsunami Troopers in Superwild were all but useless. The type to manage getting them selves killed even if you locked them in a white padded cell. Even rank and file you usually come across on the job were satisfied putting in the bare minimum effort. And here were these boys trying to kill him even as they go down with the ship. Good on them.

But he was a professional. Cream of the crop if he may say so himself. If taking him out was as easy as point and shoot, he would have been dead a long time ago. With the ground beneath his feet as unstable as it was, dodging would be difficult. But then he wasn't planning to. The glowing blade twitched and turned in his hand, blocking each and every shot. A familiar sight to the pilots, who ever heard of a Jedi getting gunned down, but then, you had to work with what you got.

The range was practically point blank, but that worked in his favor honestly. He blocked a few of the shots, getting a feel for their rhythm. Once he got the pattern down, he added his own attacks in between repositioning his blade to block blaster bolts. He aimed to sever off the two pilots arms in turn. The ship was already on a losing fight against gravity, but there was no harm in alittle good measure.

Whether opportunity showed itself to attack or not, Henry had no intention of going down with the ship. He gave the doomed pilots a quick salute before leaping backwards off the hull. He laded light on his feet right next to his sister and quickly began sorting out the wrinkles in his clothes. He hated to look unpresentable, especially on the job.

"So ship is down, how things on your end?"

"Don't be an ass...the get away shuttle was hard to miss."

"Unfortunate. You would think with so many here and just one of him, at least one of you would be able to do something..."

With the threat gone, Jeane stood up from her stance. The orange battle aura faded, her muscles laxed. Still, she could feel her face hot with blood. This Irish prick was starting to piss her off. It wasn't just what he was saying, it was how he was saying it, all laid back, not surprised at all.

"Easy to talk when you weren't even in the fight. Whole lotta good taking out his ship did."

"Just go to show you how well oiled the Imperial war machine is. The first ship wasn't even down yet when the back up came. Usually a good five minute ETA on those."

"Excuses."

"He didn't seem like a coward."

"No he didn't"

"And coming alone he had to have expect being outnumbered to be an inevitability."

"Must have."

"So this sudden departure wasn't a retreat."

"Probably not."

"...That makes things more...difficult. Guess we should hop to it then, before they blow up the planet."

"No 2 has a personal invitation on board."

"Don't suppose that includes a plus one?"

Meanwhile New Destroyman looked as their business opportunity flew out of their reach. Both seemed displeased with he out come. The red eyed half clicked his tongue and folded his arms, looking decidedly unpleased with the response, or lack there of. The blue half was more expressive in his anger.

"Well...that's just rude."

"That asshole thinks he can just ignore us?!"

"Seriously, no manners."

"Asthmatic piece of shit! He thinks he has trouble breathing now!? Lets see how he handles it after I rip out his fucking throat!"

Below, the laser sight of Margaret's anti material rifle trailed the fleeing Dark Lord perfectly. It was like the end of her gun was magnetically attracted to the Sith's forehead. No bang ever came, the light merely being turned off and the weapon put away. She actually quite liked the development. The dark lord making an appearance before luring them to his castle. These imperials did seem to have a knack for the dramatic flair, something the gothic lolita could appreciate. Even her attack could penetrate his defenses, it would hardly be a fitting end, not when that metal moon in the sky would make such a pretty coffin for him.

With the weapon away, the dark lord being charioted to his castle, that left one thing. With a smile on her face, Margaret made for her dear sister. It had been a couple days since they last spoke already, much too long. But before she could cross the distance, one of the flying cyborgs landed in front of her, cutting off her path.

"You dumb stupid ass dyke!"

He was a good foot and some taller then her with probably twice the mass. Still she looked more annoyed at his presence then threaten.

"You fucked everything up!"

A smirk crossed her lips. It was kinda funny to see how angry he was at her little stunt earlier of blowing up the drone.

"I'd be crowned moff or something right about now. But no. You got stick your nose where it doesn't belong. Bitch!"

But as much fun as it was to see him upset, it wasn't worth suffering his presence. Ah, but where was her manners. Margaret turned back toward Carmilla and Alucard, completely ignoring the man screaming insults at her.

"Countess, Son of Dracula, this is Santa Destroy's resident super hero, Destroyman."

"I'm going to fuck you up so bad."

"Ah yes, you lack the super hero arch type in your time. You can think of him as the equivalent of a knight in Santa Destroy."

"I bet a little freak like you likes getting alittle roughed up. The whole queer routine just you playing hard to get. Fucking tease. Slut."

As loathsome a creature as he was, she had no intention to kill the man. She could appreciate the irony that was him and fools such as he still had their potential upon the stage.

"Be patient with him, he only has half of brain to work with."

She wasn't going to suffer him any longer however. Done dealing with him, the gothic lolita vanished, leaving the superhero bewildered and with nothing vent his anger at. Before the blue eyed cyborg could do anything he would regret, his other half landed with an arm around him.

"Easy there pal. No need to get bent out of shape. She's not worth it. Well, at least not until we can coax some cash out of the effort."

Seeing the vampires, the new arrival, the one with a red cybernetic eye gave a friendly smile.

"Sorry you had to see all that. You know how it is, its just so frustrating. Almost had him and he slips away. Guess I can't blame him for being a coward. If I was fighting us, I would have run away too."

Alice stared off after the Sith as he slowly disappeared into the distance. She knew what she had to do. Her path was clear before her. She turned her gaze to the Death Star.

"I missed you soooo much! We have much to speak about dear sister."

She looked down, her face passive once more, and found Margaret with her arms wrapped around her. It was a familiar sensation, yet completely alien. She was cold. Her heart was silent. When she had heard of her sister's murder the other day, she did not know what to make of it. Should she hate her killer for taking Margaret from this world? Thank them from sparing her the grim task of doing it herself? It was always her deepest wish that Margaret would turn away from this life, but she knew that it was a false hope. No one escapes this life save for the embrace of death.

The news of Margaret's resurrection was grave news. There was no good in it. Ripping her sister from the peace of death. Denying her any chance at a righteous life by turning her into this monster. When she heard the news, Alice knew she was damned to correct this abomination.

She placed her hands on Margaret's cheeks and tilted her head upward so she could look into her eyes. These were once the eyes of her beloved innocent little sister. They looked up at her with such love and admiration as they always have, but they were different. Something very important had faded from their light. She was past saving. She had been for a very long time, but Alice could no longer blind her self to that. A pain twisted in her heart, hidden beneath her stoic facade. The pink glowing blades readied into position. Decapitation. Quick, painless.

"Margaret..."

"Yes?"

The gothic lolita was oblivious of her imminent execution. The blades held their spot as Alice continued her gaze, lost in thought. Finally she broke her silence.

"You changed your make up again."

The blades shut off, the robotic arms folded away. Margaret's face brighten up.

"You noticed! Your'e the only one who ever notices."

Margaret began to happily rattle on. Inconsequential things. Alice listened, but her mind was elsewhere. The time will come, just not yet.

In the ship, teenager chuckled.

"I get it. You're a pirate. Stealing ships is what you do. Its a hard habit to break. I can hot wire a car. Learned it from an ex. Got a screw driver on you?"

If she noticed the blaster, she didn't seem to show it. She wasn't threatening, but something definitely seemed...off about the girl. Then again she was a vampire. When Grant asked his question, Susie seemed surprised, like she never even considered wondering the why's of it all, merely enjoying the ride.

"How the hell should I know. I get kidnapped and find my self M&Ms place. Talk about from bad to awesome. M's mentioned some destiny or something, but I don't know what it is. But its whatever you know. I mean I get to be a vampire and hang out with celebs like Carmilla and Margaret. How cool is that?"

Teen Titans–Common Room–Making new friends.

“Uh Star… That girl probably wants to be left alone,“ Robin told the alien princess. ”Those guards won’t like you sneaking around.” Robin then addressed Aigis "I'm Robin by the way," he introduced hiimself to the blond robot, with his arms crossed.

At the same time, Starfire shrugged her arms, blushing a little and then she came back to her friends like a blur, still sporting a smile.

Meanwhile Cyborg and Beast boy stopped crying after Aigis had explained the situation.

“Infinite Pizza? “ Cyborg said

“And we can eat food from other universes? ” Beast boy said.

“This place might not be so bad after all.”

“I know bro!”

Beast Boy and Cyborg then jumped at each other, their palms meeting at mid air for a high five. Beast boy then turned around looking at his friend Starfire.

"Star, why aren't you sad? We might never go back home.“ Beast Boy asked while cleaning his tears with his right hand.

“I must admit the situation seems all but hopeless. But there is something this “Cure” did not take–My friends. We always have accomplished the impossible. And we always will,” she gave a faint smile.

Starfire then flew just infront at Aigis, trying to shake her hand with her, using her supestrenght for a tighter grip . “I am always delighted about making new friends. My name is Starfire,” She greeted the blond robot.

"It's too early to know if she is a friend," Raven said with her arms crossed. "But I certainly like her,"

Meanwhile Robin noticed that Aerrow was introducing himself to Blake and Yang. Overhearing his title he decided to approach him.

“It’s always great to meet other superhero teams. I’m, Robin, the leader of the Teen Titans,” Robin offered his hand to Aerrow.

Alucard & Carmilla, Outside the Shuttle

Almost as soon as Darth Vader left the scene, Alucard and Carmilla glared at each other. There had been a very uneasy truce between the two vampires due to the Death Star and its forces being a much more important threat. They both ignored Destroyman.

"You made two vampires... why?" Alucard asked Carmilla bluntly.

"Well, Margaret as a human was killed by an ally of Belmont and the Witch," Carmilla returned Alucard's bluntness. "I merely corrected that situation the best way I could."

"As for the other one, I have my reasons," Carmilla continued, this time flirtatiously smiling at Alucard.

"Were you truthful in saying that my mother is alive again?" Alucard asked Carmilla, the hint of emotion in his voice with the question.

"Yes... The Master could have wished for anything from the Cure, but he had wished for his wife... your mother to return to him," Carmilla crossed her arms and pouted... It seemed that this personally offended her. "Since then, he has gone back to how he was before her death."

Alucard raised an eyebrow at this... It did not surprise him that his father would wish for his mother back, but the fact that he had effectively called off his war against humanity because of her return was surprising.

"Then take me to her, Carmilla!" Alucard threatened the Countess, pointing his sword at her neck. "Do it or die where you stand!"

"...Fine," Carmilla knew she would have no chance in a real battle with Alucard, and looked around for Margaret and Susie. "Where did those two go?"

Grant, Inside Shuttle

"Do I look like I know anyone who jousts?" Grant said in response to being asked for a screwdriver. What a screwdriver has to do with jousting is something that Susie may never know. However, Grant did pull out one of his throwing knives.

"This should work, unless this thing's got some weird future screws," Grant said to Susie, before he hesitated on handing Susie the knife. She was a vampire, after all.

Bridge Alpha

That’d have to do. Homura took the split second offered by the reeling trooper to line up her third shot for the neck. Lateral stability was more important - if her aim was a bit high or low the round would still be liable to strike the trooper in the head or chest and at least buy more time for Kyoko and possibly a fourth shot; miss left or right and the round might pass by him entirely. (Not that Kyoko was one to take her time to rest in the middle of a fight - she was already picking herself back up, summoning her spear once more to attack.) Line up the sights, hold the breath, fire.

<They’re coming, are they?> Mami’s telepathic voice responded to Yukari, Sin, and Ramlethal. <I see one more Imperial tank - we should make sure it can’t attack anyone before we leave the rest to the Americans.> She glanced back behind her at the airborne reinforcements. <And whoever up there is looking down upon us.> That was as far as she got before she saw what looked like a commanding officer start firing at Sin - she wasted no time in firing back at the tank from her position several floors up with a magic musket. Such small rounds, even magic, wasn’t likely to do much damage to such advanced armor save for some lucky bounces - the fact that he still continued to fire in the visibly poor situation they were in was enough to tell her that these enemies were fanatic as well as ruthless. It was only the fact that most if not all were already dead or incapacitated that Mami felt comfortable enough to leave the rest to the inbound Americans.
