This trope has no relation to extraneousness, ore, a place where dinars might be made, or anything especially unusual. It is apparently about superpowers that relate to metal (how exactly is not specified), and ore is almost never involved. The terrible pun doesn't help.

That aside, the description isn't great: it explicitly includes a separate trope (we do have a trope for using the durability of your body to attack, don't we?) and says strange things like, "all metals are very utilitarian". The examples are often about Magnetism Manipulation, characters that can integrate technology (is there a trope for that?) or Elemental Shapeshifter specifically for metal (which might overlap with Chrome Champion, also mentioned).

I am creating this thread primarily to get a better name for this page, but if there isn't a rule against branching out TRS threads then I would like to start a discussion about general cleanup afterward. Alternately, we could split the page and technically avoid doing either.

Your dislike of the name is noted, but not a reason to open a TRS. Misuse, underuse, or failure to thrive are the only reasons to rename a trope. We do not rename healthy tropes because you don't care for the pun.

Reality is that, which when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away. -Philip K. Dick
