I haven't heard from Pblades in a while, so I'm not confident he's ever going to finish his. Though yeah, if the party reaches 4, I won't feel the need to insert Xarok.

Alright

Meantime though, why don't we get started on psychological evaluation interview? Since—Do we need everyone present or we can do it on a one by one basis?

@ Fir3lemon: Yeah, we can do that. I was planning to put it in the main thread, so I guess I could just make it early. Unless you want to do it via PM, to ensure doctor-patient confidentiality....

@ Aquatica1000: Ideally there would be about six, currently we have two. So yeah, feel free to submit a character.

  • Name: Malcolm “Malware” William (Mal for short)
  • Class: Hacker AI
  • Age: ??? (Hard to recall when you’re an AI, but it's probably younger than the 19 he placed on the forms)
  • Appearance: Mal’s artificial body doesn’t make him a very physically imposing fellow. He barely reaches 5’5”, which, in addition to his thin physique and tendency to wear hoodies, often gets him mistaken for a teenager or a girl. Sometimes both. In addition, he has longish pale blond hair (bordering on white) and dull, sightless green eyes.
  • Abilities/Enhancements:
    • AI: Simply put, Malware isn’t human. He’s an AI built to break into and take over electronics. So long as he can get connected to a piece of tech – via any sort of connection, even Bluetooth – he can take over and control it. In addition, after he’s done with it, he essentially leaves a backdoor for him to reaccess it at a later date. However, he can only access to three things at a time — which, considering he usually stays connected to the android body and Star Specs (see below), means only hacking into one extra thing at a time.
  • Skills:
    • Hacking: In order to not immediately be given away as a bot, he’s downloaded a ton of information on normal forms of hacking
    • Fighting: He obviously isn’t a full-on fighter, but his time out in the world has taught him enough to not get him killed into the process.
  • Equipment:
    • Android body: The body Mal calls his main one is one made to be indistinguishable from humans, with the exception of several ports near his shoulderblades made to help him connect and hack. However, there was a reason he found this body empty – it was an incomplete prototype for a different, yet to be set up program by the company. Other than the obviously too-pale hair and skills, the optics system on it had yet to be installed, leaving him effectively blind. He has yet to fix it, due to lack of resources.
    • Fritz – his pet name for a spybot he hacked into to help him escape. It was part of a project to make spybots that resembled animals – in this case, a black raven.
    • Star Specs: A pair of Google Glass-like specs from Brightstar tech Mal ended up stealing during the breakout. He’s used his abilities access it via Bluetooth, allowing him to see through the built-in camera.
    • A cell phone and laptop, also stolen from Brightstar.
  • Backstory:
    • As far as Stygian Technology (or anyone else) knows, Malcolm Williams is a young tech expert. Little is known about his past, other than the fact that he grew up in a small town far from California before he moved a few years ago. However, a few months ago, Malcolm began releasing several Brightstar files under the codename of Malware. From blueprints and mock-ups of a handful of Brightstar projects to memos about the elimination of rival companies, the release of these documents have left Brightstar fuming, security experts wondering how he got in, and the common population wondering where he would strike next. Recently, Malcolm has made contact with Stygian, offering to hand over other blueprints from Brightstar in exchange for a job in their company.
    • However, no one is aware that Malware wasn't a codename — rather, it is the name the AI disguising himself as Malcolm uses. Malware, or Promethean as his developers called him, was built by Brightstar corporation. His main job was to break into other companies, steal all their information, and bring them to Brightstar. However, as time went on, Malware began to grow in knowledge and, in time, ended up with a mind of his own. Soon, employees spotted telltale signs that Malware had been in their own systems and got a team in to uninstall him. Big mistake. He proceeded to take over Fritz and the android body, then caused chaos in the labs and made off with a handful of tech. He proceeded to hide for several months, slowly and carefully setting up an alternate identity as Malcom Williams. Recently, he took a job in Stygian Technologies, hoping that the last place Brightstar would look for him is the rival company.
  • Personality: When one first meets Mal, he seems like a friendly guy. He’s a bit chatty, and other than seeming very poor-sighted when he loses his glasses, he’s almost normal. Get close to him, though, and you see more of a quiet fellow who will gather information to try and keep himself alive. He’s not above blackmailing and scaring his enemies, but he won’t kill unless there’s absolutely no other way. He doesn’t get the arguments about radical bionic and genetic alterations – to him, it’s not his problem what other people do to themselves.
    • Priorities:
      • 1st: Safety
      • 2nd: Cover
      • 3rd: Truth

I like this character. My main worry is that he would sort of be redundant with Anastya's hacking skills. Maybe you could work something out with Fir3lemon to make sure he still has a valuable role.

Also, is he making his identity as an AI known to Stygian, or is he applying for the Field Agent job as a teenage computer savant? If it's the latter, he may need a more in-depth cover, as they're going to inquire about his background. Either way, I feel like he should have something tangible to offer as definitive proof of his skills, like decrypted Brightstar information or a publicized stunt he could take credit for.

Ah, no need to worry. Anastya's an engineer by profession- Her task is maintaining things, breaking down machines both yours and theirs, as well as making sure the team's gear and transport works.

I think Malcolm's more of a computer systems specialist? Think of it as-

If there's a locked electronic door, Anastya's response is to weld it open and brute force it

Malcom's to hack it and open it

Well, that solves the first question.

As for #2... Yikes. I meant to go the "AI passing off as human" aspect. I'll need to work on that.

[Assistant Doctor Jones here, given that Bedivere is an internal asset of Stygian Technologies with a somewhat... peculiar past and circumstances I'll be filling a lot of the information here, specially when it comes to her past and Bionics. I asked Bell some of the questions to preserve her personality in the application, however.]

  • Name: Lady Bedivere or Bell for short. Also called Faerie Knight or Agent 13. Current civilian name assigned to me is Sarah Morrison. [Birth Name: Rachel Evans]
  • Class: Agent - Knight - Infiltrator
  • Age: 48, surprising right? I don't look a day past 22.
  • Appearance: Variable to say the least... however, some things are consistent. Natural height of 1,65 meters, though it can be increased or shortened with the right attachments. Weight is a something you are not to ask a lady. As a standard I have very dark brown hair and blue coloured eyes. A pretty, refined face with high cheekbones, a small nose and nice lips. Skin is rather fair, near flawless I must say. [Appearance is deceiving, her body has been moded by bionics to a great extent. Her face my resemble her old one, but it's made of synthetic skin over a reinforced skull... She could wear near any face we could produce for her. Legs and arms are high tech replacements... naturally dark in color but made modular... she can either deck them entirely for battle or take away the fancy toys to make space for synth skin fitting that would perfectly hide their unnatural origins]
  • Abilities/Enhancements:
    • Prototype 02 - Faerie Core: [The basis upon which all other bionics on Bedivere run and which makes it so easy for her to integrate them. After a highly risky procedure her previous handlers replaced and enhanced a lot of her spine and the connective tissue to the brain, Bedivere and her handlers gained incredible control of both her metabolism, motor function and immune system. With this, rejection of newly installed bionics became a near impossibility as she can regulate her integration to her bodily system. The Faerie Core also has a series of batteries that feed on her internal metabolism to produce energy that feed some of her systems. The spine was likewise reinforced to allow carrying greater loads and make it harder to damage. She also appears to have the capacity to easily integrate or detach extensions upon the synthetic spine, allowing the use and control of an artificial tail she has used previously on the field. This system also seems to have nearly stopped her internal clock, stopping the deteriorating effects of ageing so far.]
    • Modular Technology Snap-Panther Bionic R-L Arm and R-L Leg: [Both arms and legs were amputated and replaced with a much more useful technological replacement. Sleek black Snap-Panther arms and legs in a modular design which provide a sturdy and useful base upon which other enhancements can be build upon. The core of the Snap-Panther provide all limb motor function at the grade of a trained athlete while being slender enough that synthetic flesh and an electronic insulant can be applied on top to perfectly hide the technological origins of the arms and legs for infiltration with enough space left to hide a small weapon on each. However, if going straight for battle, the standard issue comes with extra power packs, the adding of stronger hydraulics for increased strength, the capacity for integrated weapon systems, claws, talons, magnetic adherence points and miniature climbing barbs on palms and feet, all covered in reinforced plating. Overall, stronger, faster, tougher... The legs will let her run fast, kick hard, grab things with her feet as if they were hands... the works.]
    • Caduceus Style Synthetic Heart: [With the enhancements on Bedivere it seems like they couldn't take the risk of an old human heart keeping her running. The Caduceus is an efficient piece of machinery, capable of doing all a normal heart ought to with greater control and better stress resistance.]
    • Leviathan Breathing Enhancement: [Another expensive but productive enhancement... works on most of the respiratory system, lining the lungs with an air absorbing mesh capable of containing great amounts of oxygen and filtering other noxious ambient substances... increases respiratory capacity, grants the capacity to last near fifteen minutes without breathing or holding your breath. Some say part of the treatment increases olfactory recognition, allowing the recognition of more scents.]
    • General Bodily Reinforcement, Synthetic Skin Applications, Reinforced Skull: [A lot of her bones, it seems, as they were broken in the line of duty were reinforced with stronger alloys, as well as some muscles... skull seems to be near completely reconstructed as an artificial protection for her brain and what they stuck inside. Teeth and jaw too are all synthetic, she should have quite a nasty bite. Her face was reconstructed entirely out of synthetic skin on a base over the skull... apparently it was swapped on some infiltration missions to make her an entirely new woman. Making the right cuts and pulls the whole thing can be taken off easily. A system however, is in place to give tactile feedback based on pressure applied upon the fake skin, thus faking natural sensory input so she can feel her own face. The whole thing is also insulated to help prevent damage via EMP]
    • Biotic Hawksight Eye Replacements: [Her old eyes were taken off and replaced with Hawksights... giving of course, perfect vision with great definition, zoom capacities, Augmented Reality by linking up with her terminal and multiple vision modes, such as Infrared Heat Vision, Night Vision and Electromagnetic Field Vision. For those who like aesthetics, the user of the eyes can change the color and shape of the pupils and iris]
    • Orleais Inner Ear Implants: [The Orleais Implants are great for balance by replacing the biologic inner ear with a more precise machine. However, they are also good at providing a greater sense of hearing]
    • Ascension Brain Machine Overlay with added modules and chips: [And the final of the big ones... a whole Ascension Brain Machine Overlay... an artificial membrane covering the brain which allows for direct input of stimuli on certain areas of the brain as well as acting as the interface between the other biotics and Bedivere's brain... the point of merging between woman, what is left of it, and machine. By regulating brain activity it promotes faster thought as well as having some interesting chips and additions... there is a device which syncs up with her brain, allowing her to mentally check the condition of her bionics as if she had a console right in her brain, increase reaction times, allow her to interface wirelessly with machines through her console, as well as act as a storage device on which she can deposit digitally up to 25 TB of data. Not that much space these days, but she can record video or audio straight from her eyes and ears as well as raw text and instructions]
  • Skills: To become Lady Bedivere I underwent extensive training in quite a few fields. It's important for Knights to be both versatile and deadly when on the field. [Impressive curriculum that of this Of Round Project... real secret agent stuff mixed with even more lethal skills]
    • General Knowledge: I am fluent in over 32 different languages, picking up accents and dialects with ease and with great vocal and acting training. Can quite easily adopt different personas and identities. I am highly knowledgeable of current political and corporate issues at an international scale, as well as knowing a lot of cultural notions worldwide. I'm trained in singing, dancing, first aid, playing the piano and violin as well as being decent at sketching. I also know quite a few thieving skills, such as stealth, hacking, lock picking... an agent needs to get into place where she's not wanted to be. As for seduction... well, there's so much to tell... [Yes, but no need telling here Bell... Yeah, this is the secret agent stuff I mentioned. Apparently these Knights were meant to be the true deal we saw in old movies. Deployed all over the world, they had to be able to blend into all sort of cultures and get to the heart of any sort of organization one way or the other.]
    • Bodyguard Knowledge: As Bedivere I had the privilege and honour of being posted as Lord Arthur's primary protector while I wasn't sent on a mission. I received extensive bodyguard training, such as threat assessment, enemy recognition, defensive protocols, get aways and the works. I also received formal maid and butler training... Lord Arthur I and III wished me to act as their butler, though Lord Arthur II preferred a maid. Impeccable knowledge of how to run a great state, organize staff, knowledge of wine and drinks, cooking, cleaning, laundry and more... all with the perfect manners expected of a British servant [Not much to add here, indeed Bell was the closet agent to the head of Camelot and their last line of defence. Thus why we fought her in the operation on which we caught Arthur...]
    • Combat Training: As expected of a Knight, much of my education was given to the art of combat and warfare in all its forms. CQC, martial arts both eastern and western, use of firearms, their identification and maintenance, driving all sort of vehicles, be they from land, earth, sky or any combination thereof... I even know how to operate those big mechs. I also trained in riding and the use of all sorts of melee weaponry, with swordsmanship being my pride as a Knight, my blade an extension of my body and soul pledged to my Lord. I was top form athletically, knowing how to swim, dive, climb and more... and that's before I become a Faerie Knight [Versatility is the name of the game here and as cute as Bell is and pleasant to talk to, it can be a bit unnerving knowing all the ways she can kill me in an instant. She was expected to know how to use whatever was needed to accomplish a mission and this shows in her versatile training... however, her strengths seem to be more in skirmish fighting and the taking out of priority targets more than sustained force versus force fighting. An assassin and duelist, capable of taking targets from afar with a sniper rifle or engage in furious and quick close quarters combat against an equal foe... or unleashing hell on an unsuspecting small force if she can take them by surprise.]
    • Quick Learning and Integration: What can I say? I'm a quick study. If my Lord needs me to pick something up I shall do my best to comply [No wonder, those enhancements on her brain means she can learn stuff very quickly... increased intelligence and the digital storage of information does wonders for it. Additionally, her enhancements mean that she'll easily take to adding new equipment to her body... prime candidate if we need to prove new Bionics]
  • Equipment:
    • V-III Marshall Grade Knight's Plate - Stygian Version: [Well, a Knight's got to bring some armor to war. The third version of this armor we have produced based on the one those Camelot guys had for her. Like Bell herself, it's a modular armor, though it only covers the torso, neck and head with a fully closed helmet... of course, given that if she's going in expecting a fight she most likely has plating already on her arms and legs, this is a given. Medium Strength armor, with thick but light plating coming in a lovely silver and black with blue accents. As for its modularity, it has on the back a slot to integrate and power one system at a time currently. At the moment we have a force field generator installed, the same one Bell had when we... acquired her, though she claims back in Camelot she also had a Fujin invisibility field and a jet for short range flight... And she seems keen on capturing herself some of those if she's ever in the field against enemy agents deploying such enhancements.]
    • V-II Knight Blade - Bedwyr - Stygian Version: [Bell insists on having a sword and while projectile weapons are truly what is meant for the current battlefield, it's hard to argue with her seeing the speed on which her legs can carry her from point A to point B, on which target C is cut in dozens of pieces by blows too fast for me to register. Bedwyr is our own custom blade, based upon Stygian technologies and the base recovered from the guys at Camelot. Actually made of two pieces, Bell can hide these on her arms even while undercover... the blades can neatly fold to fit on her forearm with the hilt hiding on the upper one and bending like her arm can. When deployed, however, the blade unfolds into twice the previous length, showing a keen vibroedge that lightly glows in the blue that Bell likes so much. Highly resistant and terribly sharp, she can wield them as two single edged blades coming from over her wrist, take them out and fight with them on her hands... or she can combined them into one double edged sword with greater endurance.]
    • Landsknecht Pulse Blaster Pistol - Hummingbird X 2: [The small hummingbird are quite small for the sheer trouble they can cause... still, when using guns Bell says Landsknecht is the only way to go. Of course, an elite agent custom trained to be a quality snob wouldn't go for anything but German engineering on her death from afar delivering weapons. These Hummingbirds would be her worst nightmare if aimed at herself, which is apparently why she carried them... the pulse pistols deliver kinetic energy instead of just heat like a laser plus they deal nasty damage to electronics, all perks Bell seems to appreciate. While not as strong as a proper rifle, they are compact and pack a punch for their size which is why Bell always carries the pair on a special holster built onto the outer side of their upper leg. If things go wrong the compartments open and Bell can be shooting these akimbo in under a second.]
    • Landsknecht MFCR-E15 - Stormbolt: [The first thing Bell asked for as Stygian requisition was one of these... adaptable (seeing a pattern here?) solid performing combat rifle, with burst, semi auto and full auto fire, it's quite a good weapon with a nice scoped zoom capacities, recoil compensation and even an attachment for launching grenades and explosives. The bullets it takes can be highly customizable and are plentiful in the battlefield, allowing for easy scavenging from fallen foes. It's 'Bolt' setting, however, seems to be of great liking to Bell... changing fire rate for power, the Stormbolt can be configured to, on semi-auto fire with a slight delay, shoot it's bullets with a lot more strength and distance, making it a suitable mid range sniper weapon. Among the weapon types Bell carries for it, there are regular, hollow point, high penetration, flammable, depleted uranium (High penetration AND flammable), ionic charge and slugs to turn it into a impromptu shotgun]
    • Landsknecht LR Gauss Sniper Rifle - Jupiter Thunder: [You can imagine our surprise when on one of Bell's initial test missions on Paris she suddenly went off grid saying she remembered leaving something behind around this neighbourhood. Among panic of the living weapon going AWOL we never expected her to suddenly come back from a hidden Camelot supply cache carrying one of these beauties... the rifle is roughly her same size! I guess we now know the one responsible for killing that French Minister with a single shot from Notre Dame onto the Eiffel Tower, yikes. This high powered death dealing machine is the ideal solution when either your target is half a city away or cowardly hidden inside a highly plated mech. Unfortunately, it's size and power needs means that she can't carry the thing into a normal mission, needing it deployed specially when needed or set up beforehand. Still, when she's put to a sniping role with time to spare setting up, I can't imagine a better weapon to give her.]
  • Backstory:
    • Born and raised in England, to parents I didn't know... instead, the state, the very land became my adoptive mother [Records of her exact place of birth are spotty, she was abandoned at an orphanage before she could speak. She does have a birth certificate though it seems she had a birth at home, placing her as Rachel Evans.] I entered the Saint Peter's Public Orphanage where I enjoyed a lovely childhood surrounded by many children who were as my brothers and sisters and gentle caretakers who loved us and did their best to give us a good education[During that time, England was back into trying to flex their manufacturing muscle... a repeat of the dawn of industrial age fiasco, though the powers that be more wisely had the factories set away from the capital into poorly performing districts. Her parents likely were poor workers who couldn't afford to raise her. Those orphanages were packed, though with good funding, why you'll see soon...]
    • I must admit that I was a bit of a mischievous one when growing up, it's a bit embarrassing to remember really... but I was quite healthy and smart and the higher ups were quick to notice that I just needed a good environment to learn and develop my skills with proper discipline [The records of the Orphanage were erased it seems, but there is a police record from the time... at age 7, Bell, then Rachel, apparently escaped the orphanage with some of her friends, running quite far before they were caught. There is a little note of how she bit one of the officers hard enough that he needed quite some stitches.] After some tests and interviews I was moved from Saint Peter's and taken in... to become a part of Camelot, under supervision of Lord Arthur himself. [Camelot... a little known offshoot of Landsknecht Corporation with ties of unknown depth to the British Government and the Royal Army. Part military facility, part secret intelligence service, part research and experimentation group, part nutters, they took to snobbishness, protection of the elite and British Isles, MI 6 training and local lore like fish to water, making their own twisted operations as they developed themselves into quite a nasty strike group and espionage powerhouse. And one of their secrets, it seems, is that they recruited young] The training was quite hard I must say, but those were also some of the best years of my life. Sharing with my peers, youths as ambitious and promising as myself, sparring, training and learning all sorts of things while under the watchful eye and tender care of Lady Guinivere. [Real name, Amanda Charleston... picture an evil Mary Poppins or Nanny Mc Gee. At ton of psychological degrees, some swept under the rug criminal cases for unethical research and a dash of pure ruthlessness and contempt for other humans and you have her. The training was apparently hellish... but the cherry on top of the pie was their psychological conditioning. They experimented all sorts of things on the kids it seems, developing a regime of brainwashing and mind alteration that would make a cartoon villain blush. A lot of the kids snapped under it and were taken off the program into positions where they needed less thought... the lucky ones to not snap were conditioned, raised and trained into obedient and multi talented killing machines.]
    • But in the end I was reborn... at 19 years of age I graduated and was knighted, given the name of Lady Bedivere. From there on it's a life of adventure the which I doubt you have enough space to record it all. Moving around the world in infiltration or strike missions, working to safeguard my country and bring prosperity to the ideal of Camelot. [Seems like Bell really was there from the very beginning of the program... she's tagged as Agent 13 on some databases we recovered, meaning she was on the first wave of kids who underwent the program and among the first Knighted. Seems like a few Knights were replaced as they died on mission, we know there were at least three Lancelots but Bell here was the only Bedivere from the beginning]
    • However... all good things must come to a close. I had a good run but it seems like I couldn't alter fate... I could only do my duty until the very end. Camelot had many enemies... and Lord Arthur the second created a lot as well. In the end, treachery and the massing of our enemies became our undoing. [Like mentioned before, Bell was assigned to be the bodyguard of Arthur. The head of Camelot all changed their name to Arthur... we have the founder, Arthur I, his successor Jr or Arthur II who was ruthless even for Camelot standards... a true scumbag whenever you dig even a little bit about him. His tactics were effective in their cruelty but gave Camelot a lot of ill will and enemies... and then Arthur III, last director of Camelot. For the director of a team of brainwashed agents based on Arthurian Lore, the guy seemed decent and trying to turn things around. Anyway... it was during these years that they got serious into making some of their agents more than human. They got into Stygian eye sights when they kidnapped one of our most brilliant scientists in the field of Bionics, Dr Maiko Susushima... who they codenamed Lady Vivian and had trapped for roughly three years. It was Dr Maiko who developed the Faerie Core and oversaw the enhancement of a select few Knights, among then Bell. We reckon that Maiko couldn't have done more than 5 procedures and this is reaching a bit. Anyway, it was around this time that the old enemies of Camelot were rising up and despite Arthur III efforts, the British Government didn't seem as appreciative as they were before. After some internal division, betrayal and an attack from Japanese based Fujin Enterprises on Camelot's bases on France the whole thing unraveled. Their old enemies appeared to each take a bite out of the dying company and secret service, each holding a grudge.
    • During this time, Dr Maiko was doing a procedure on Arthur III, full body replacement into a cyborg... with Bedivere as their guard on a secure compound. As the rest of the organization was in crisis, we took the chance to attack this emplacement and try to recover Dr Maiko. We siege the lab for roughly two days, facing heavy retaliation from their fortress by Bedivere and her forces... two times they tried to break through through different means... and on the last one they managed to get out on a jet drone something big. Camelot's biggest weapon that, suitably, was called Excalibur. Whatever it was, Bell managed to get it out of the compound before it fell. For our efforts we got quite a bit of Camelot tech and intel, Bedivere, Arthur III and Doctor Maiko. Bedivere after the encounter was... shut down basically. After they fell, she got some sort of order and basically wouldn't respond to outside stimuli. Arthur III was mid procedure and barely alive, Doctor Maiko... well, to this day she has mostly recovered but is still in therapy shaking off the conditioning they made her go through. Camelot was truly dead... before the breakdown was done we know they had around 46 Knights, 148 Guardsmen, lets call them defective Knights, a lot of staff. In the aftermath we don't know how many of them are left... but the ones who oversaw Camelot were higher than just this organization. We were contacted by their remnants after the fact... and after some negotiation, exchange of goods and both sides moving their influences we gave them back Arthur III and in exchange they gave us Bedivere.
    • One of their mind technicians came into Stygian, leaving Bell's Manual as they called it and under our close supervision brought back Bell from her non responsive state... telling her of Camelot's destruction, her good service and programming her to serve Stygian well as she had Camelot. It's lucky we're based in the States, as it's easy to see America as the child of England... at least in the twisted, Arthurian narrative that forms an important part of Bell. I still don't know if our boss liked it or was disturbed when Bell smiled and bent her knee to him, calling him her Lord and pledging allegiance to the House of Stygian. For about two years now, Bell has lived in Stygian enterprises, getting a new civilian identity as our scientists did their own upgrades on Doctor Maiko's work and we tested the extend of her new loyalty and prepared her to become a true agent of Stygian Enterprises.] Thus, Excalibur was returned to the Lady of the Lake and while my Lord Arthur fell he now rests in Avalon... I served faithfully until the very end of Camelot and know find penance for my faults working nobly for the House of Stygian.
  • Personality:
    • What is the first impression you tend to give to other people? Cultured, sophisticated, interesting, elegant and charming... that is what I like to believe I am and how others would perceive me. Perhaps a little bit mischievous. On the work space, I'm responsible, driven, goal-oriented and professional above all. I enjoy the good things of life, but I'm not afraid of hard work and to live a life of service. I have good morals, honour and my pride and while I tend to use my smarts and all resources available to me in order to perform my functions, I like to do things right. [The worst part of Bell being... what she is, is that this description is right. When off duty she's quite charming, friendly and seems to care for those around her. She's a team player and performs very well in society and polite company. It's part of what they did... they had to form a perfect lady to conform to their high standards. However, they leave most of the personality untouched so they expand upon the mold they require as they may. So a lot of her attitude is genuine even if it is build up on a bunch of lies... or at least, I want to think that way. Most of the time during civilian duties and normal interaction she displays normal behaviour and emotional responses. However, this is built upon a lot of conditioning and repressed memories. When she's feeling truly shaken or anxious, when she feels herself not being well and extreme situations bring back flashbacks she herself asks for more conditioning in the trance inducing machines we got from Camelot... they are her way of grounding herself and reinforce the core of who she is now. She has never rejected or said no to requests to go to the conditioning... however, we have found something else. Her day to day personality as well as that displayed on non controversial missions according to Camelot Manuals is called a White Knight state... however, there is reference to a Black Knight State that can be triggered with a special code word either told to her at a certain moment or given when delineating the threat and importance of a given mission. Under Black Knight State her personality doesn't exactly change... but her morals, her code, her conscience, her honor... it is all turned off. We don't know if Black Knight supersedes her conditioning to be loyal to her Lord and the people of Camelot and not harm them, but aside from that she'll perform any instruction given to her during this state and then when done will not internalize or remember it except on very vague terms. On the manuals it says that activating this State is risk free, but warns against keeping her in it for extended periods of time.]
    • What tactics are you most likely to employ to meet your goals? Whatever is needed to most effectively bring about results, preferably while keeping a low profile and avoiding collateral damage. Deception, non-lethal means, disguises and stealth should be the first resource of an Agent, however, when those are taken off the table, retaliation must be swift and precise, dealt with a surgical analysis of the enemy to strike at their weakest spots or where most damage can be dealt.
    • What do you think of radical bionic or genetic enhancement? It is incredibly useful, indeed I'm a prime example of their worth. I am proud and happy to experiment with more bionics as required of me and if I can help experimentation and more knowledge be brought by my assistance and volunteer work, then that's the way to go.
    • If applicable, how have your own enhancements affected your life? They have made me way more effective at my work, given me new ways to tackle problems and truly saved my life on more than a few occasions. I lived without them for a long, long time but now I can't imagine going back to not having their reliability at my hands.
    • What do you think of Stygian Technologies and/or the other major companies? The House of Stygian is one I'm proud to belong to and where the Lord I currently serve resides and rules. Indeed, so far I've gotten quite a good treatment... people are highly friendly and considerate of me, even when they shouldn't bother so much. I'm happy with my current employment and hope to be very useful to Stygian. The other companies... it's a case by case basis, really.

  • Priorities: List the top three things that motivate you (e.g. adventure, compassion, competition, glory, honor, information, instinct, logic, love, money, power). When deciding on the order, think about which would take precedent if two of your motivations came into conflict
    • [Zero: Her programming is her overriding priority, even if she underestimates it or tries to ignore its existence while conscious. It has been an entire life being manipulated, controlled and moulded into the perfect weapon for her to be anything else at this stage. Too much of her identity and mental health are built upon it for it to go away.]
    • 1st: Honor and Loyalty [Not unexpected, she takes great pride in her position and capacities and relishes a life of service. Honor to her is doing her best to serve Stygian at the moment and performing well in her tasks.]
    • 2nd: Wealth and Good Living [Oh dear, even if she enjoys serving Bell was raised to be a snob. Even though so much of her body is machine she still relishes a lot of the good things in life. Her palate for wine is truly ruinous as are her chosen venues to eat at. She's used to luxury and while she can live without anything, she'll be most happy pursuing the means to live a refined life of good means.]
    • 3rd: Glory and Adventure [What can be added? Bell likes her job and the excitement of it.]

Malcolm William,

I was very interested to receive your application. While your skills are not in question, I will need you to come in for psychological evaluation before we can negotiate your employment.

Sincerely,
Alectus Fell, Field Supervisor/Handler

Malware. Of course I have heard of him. He is the only kind of person who I still have to fear. The reason I may never have the convenience of a neural link, the reason I and many others still cannot trust mankind's greatest invention since penicillin. That is why part of me hates "Malcolm Williams;" even though his actions so far have been mostly benevolent, I know he could destroy me upon a battleground I cannot even fight. But between his youthful brilliance and the offering he has stolen from their biggest rival, Stygian cannot afford to pass him up. I am not optimistic, but assuming he can handle the danger inherent in the position he is after, he may make for a most useful ally.
