It looks like this manga is starting to be its own thing now. That's good.
It's entertaining and it's getting more interesting with the douchebag nobles and the crazy necromancer. The only things I ask: not make Asta and/or Yuno's parents be nobles and don't ruin Noelle's character development.
See all the groups preparing for the fight seriously lift the spirits and next week probably will have a lot of action, so I'm hyped and I like where this is going.
It would be best if both our male protagonists turn out to have perfectly normal parents, yes.
One of the things that lowered my opinion of Barrage was the main hero turning out to be the Chosen One because of his royal blood.
Man, Asta is the most annoying shonen protagonist I've seen in a while. Please, just close your mouth and stop spouting "I have no magic but I'll become the Wizard King!" Every. Single. Chapter. It would be slightly more bearable if, he, you know, doesn't have that bigass anti-magic sword that hard counters everything.
They were both left in front of the orphanage when they were babies, and both turned out to be special snowflakes. No way in hell are their parents normal. They're probably both reincarnations of the first Wizard King and the Devil.
I hope the author has a weakness in mind for Asta's hax.
Honestly, both Asta and Yuno are really bland. Asta goes around being surprised by everything and stating his goal ad nauseum. Yuno seems to be a nice guy for a rival, but that seems to be the extent of his personality.
At least they're not Natsu.
Latest chapter is an interesting set-up, now we theoretically get to see the top knights in action.
Is it wrong that I already like Leopold more than Yuno?
The chapter is in spanish
The necromancer is an entertaining Card Carring Villain, Noelle's irrelevance this chapter annoyed me and the other knigths were cool. This series needs more Leopold by the way.
Chapter 28 is in english
I don't see why the magicknights are so worried. Practically all of them have ways to return quickly to the kingdom in a couple of minutes to the most. The Big Eater from Black Bull is going to be a Checkow Gunman for sure. That said...first the Blue Roses' women and now that mysoginist cliche of a witch... has had the author any problem with women lately?
I am amused by the chef who seems to have wandered in from Toriko or Food Wars.
I read the Ymmv page and am I the only one who thinks that the CompleteMonster section is using incorrect info.
in what way?
I'm pretty sure the guy who wrote got Rades' motivation completely wrong, calling his motivation petty. saying he was kicked out of the magic knights for disobeying an order(even though I'm pretty sure that didn't happen). Also, he counts Rades' own magic as own of his sins even though he didn't choose his magic. I'm going to reread the chapters in a bit.
Yeah, I think either I made a small error or someone changed it when it was being posted. Rades was kicked out for his dangerous magic, IIRC. It's still an unbelievably petty reason, though.
However, given how he uses his magic, I think it's fair to list that. He can certainly control that, and the story comes down pretty hard against him.

I don't think getting angry at being kicked out of his home for a magic that he didn't choose with no one to stand up for him is petty. It doesn't excuse what he did in retaliation, but I don't think he should be called a CompleteMonster yet.
I disagree. He's an egomaniac who's entirely driven by his wounded pride in the fight and when Leon flat out calls the excuse a petty thing, Raades just tells him "reasons are best hen they're simple."
His method of getting even is to attack the kingdom, try to wipe it out, kill everything he can and attempt child murder. If he does something disqualifying later, he can be cut, but he was voted on and approved with flying colors.

Fair enough though I disagree with the reasoning itself being petty. It depends whether or not the author fleshes his backstory out.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but he was expelled from the Magic Knights, not kicked out of Clover itself. If he was just targeting magic knights, that'd be one thing, but he was gleefully attempting to murder every civvie he could.
Rades stated that the nobles said his magic was too dangerous and because he was a commoner no one stood up for him. He said he was abandoned by the Magic Knights and the kingdom. It was in chapter 31.

So the latest chapter has come out and it appears our main villain for this arc is that crazy scientist chick who has an obsession with Aster. Any thoughts regarding her slime magic and the mud monster she made from that hired goon?

Will she get rule 34'd? Nah I kid wonder if she will try and do something on someone like a huge experiment.
Mileena MadnessGive it some time once the series gets more exposure we should see a lot of r34 of her I mean Tabata is providing a lot of sex appeal with her outfit and crazy stalker personality
I like Sally. She comes off as an actual threat and is delightfully creepy.

Since Black Clover appears to be taking off as a potential long runner, let's start a thread for it.
First topic: Your favorite minor character, now that we've been introduced to a bunch of them?
