Mario Maker 1 had that too, with weird mushrooms, big mushrooms, and costumes being SMB only.
The Protomen enhanced my life.In a perfect world we would get Link forms for all the themes, it should follow the Zelda games on the same console and I think the games should go:
- SMB 1 = LOZ I (obviously)
- SMB 3 = LOZ II (though he would have to be shrunk down)
- SMW = Link to the Past
- NSMBU = Triforce Heroes ? (Since 3DS is considered buddies with the Wii U)
- SM 3 DW = Links Awakening (Switch) (Its a perfect fit and there's 2D levels as well so it could be a perfect model import)
Now for the voices they can simply use the voices from Triforce Heroes and Awakening.
Happy Link day!
The Protomen enhanced my life.Here're some Gameplay videos of Super Mario Maker 2 Version 2.0;
So me and my friends were talking about characters and don't get me wrong, Toad and Toadette are cool, we love the little shrooms, but we were expecting a lil more ya know?
How do yall feel about DLC character packs? Or if not DLC, what other characters do you think would have been better than Toad/Toadette? My friends and I came up with either Peach and Daisy (to even out the gender ratio) or Wario and Waluigi (so that all 4 bros can duke it out)
Although the proportions would have to match, Waluigi would be a challenge. I think small Waluigi will be a very cursed image to look at...
How do I get more Ninji stamps?
The Protomen enhanced my life.I feel like I'm the only person on the internet who's more excited for Spikes and Pokeys than the Master Sword. I can't wait to see what wackiness I can cook up with Spikes (a recreation of Donkey Kong with seesaws and vines, maybe?).
Anyway, I keep saying I'll post my Maker ID here and I never do. I'll share it as soon as I finish the thing I'm currently working on.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?I'm still of the opinion that Princess Peach should be playable, and find it kinda odd that they've started adding characters from other series before adding her.

I find it odd that...people find "that" odd.
It's never been a priority to make Peach playable, like ever.
Every time she has been, it's always been a rare exception.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.That's what people think is odd.
If her dress is that hard to animate for some reason, then why not add Peachette?
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?Most of the Peach models already exist for the various styles. Its not hard to draw inspiration from her other appearances to fit her in the rest as well.
Yes, the dress excuse is very relevant to styles not NSMB.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.I mean, if they included Toad and Toadette as playable characters, then I think Peach should definitely have been in too.

Then she wouldn't play any different from them, that's no bueno.
If she's add via update for game-play reasons, then she'll actually be worth.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Peach shouldn't be hard to add to the classic game styles, she worked fine in SMB2.

I missed the part where that's my problem.For gameplay balance reasons, all the character have to play the same. But if you mean that she gets an alternate costume/powerup like Link with her floating ability that would be cool, but we would rather want Peach as her own playable character like Mario and co.
I was thinking she could float in single player and not in multiplayer with strangers to balance her out, online with friends is fair game where you could toggle her floating ability
That got me thinking, her SMB 2 sprites would actually fit pretty well in SMB 3 style where she has both a small and big sprite already.
But all in all, I'm fine with having a Peach/Daisy costume like Link
In fact I just thought of something crazy, how about a crown power-up that transforms the character into a princess like the Link power? It gives them the ability to float and turns them into a certain character depending on who grabs it
(Not the super crown)
But it would be a great way to bring the other characters in, like:
- Mario -> Peach
- Luigi -> Daisy
- Toad -> Rosalina
- Toadette -> Pauline
It's a great way to introduce Pauline as a welcome surprise to many players
Although maybe it could also be Toadette becomes the real Peach (not Peachette), and Mario becomes Pauline (since they do have a bit of history together)
Her SMB 3 sprite is just the SMB 2 USA sprite anyway.
YO. Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie.Huh, TIL.
Peach doesn't need to float, just like Luigi doesn't need to skid or jump higher than Mario in this particular game.
Is that a Wocket in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?True, I didn't say she had to, personally I don't care if she does or not, but for the sake of many people complaining about removing what made her unique is the issue.
Since there hasnt been a Super Mario game where she didnt float, it could become Broken Base, Scrappy Mechanic, They Changed It, Now It Sucks!, and Damn You, Muscle Memory! where people were used to her floating after every jump

Anyway, what are y'all's times on the ninji speedrun course? I can barely push 19
My best time is about 22 seconds.
The Protomen enhanced my life.Apparently there's a reddit thread that talks about how some slopes give you an advantage or disadvantage and how the overall game physics are pretty janky when it comes to speedrunning
Because it's easier than doing it for all of them, not to mention also being an easy way to make the SMB style actually unique from the rest.
