The Killing Joke

Okay, one answer I can accept is definitely "Not as an acceptable focus of Killing Joke prologue, it can't."

The difference being is most shipping writers can't bolt their fic on a movie adaptation of one of the greatest Batman stories of all time.

It's kinda unfair these Barbara/Bruce stories never get to show Jim's reaction to it.

I mean, it's not like he's entitled to his daughter's life, but still, it's terribly unfair to have an adult man, his trusted friend, dating/even sexing his daughter behind his back while both keep it a secret from him. You can't help feeling for the guy, on top of all Joker did to him.

x5 Timm didn't work on the movie by himself, so I don't think he's literally the only one who wants or doesn't mind the pairing.

I kind of get the feeling that Batman and Batgirl's "rooftop sex" is approaching Never Live It Down status.

Big time. The way people talk you wouldn't even know there was a Killing Joke adaptation in the movie.

Kind of sad, isn't it? The original comic book was amazing. The movie, on the other hand, wasn't really.

That's just it. The actual adaptation part gets plenty of praise and is pretty much just the comic put in animated format and could be judged on its own merits while completely ignoring the prologue.

It's just that people don't do that.

You know I dont think this movie is So Okay, It's Average, sure its not out and out So Bad Its Horrible, but its a little below Okay and above Horrible.

The word you're looking for is "bad".

Or possibly "meh".

Eh, I think I've enjoyed it more them most if not then all recent DC movies.

It's the equivalent of airing "I've got Batman in my basement" with more sex and following it with "Heart of Ice." The whiplash in quality hurts.

I think since is a faithfull adaptation people dosent said anything, is just the killing joke like they want it, is the NEW content that piss people off

It's like adapting Year One but adding the Kevin Smith retcon where Batman pisses himself at Falcone's party.

I saw K Nightwing 01's review on it and I have to agree with him on one particular point, omitting one major part of the movie doesn't make the film good.

And unfortunately, I'm on the Never Live It Down crowd on Batsex. That scene alone ruined Bruce Timm and his future works for me as someone who grew up watching his DC Animations growing up.

Timm's weird obsession with Bats basically being desired by every and all females in Gotham/DC to the point Ivy, Harley, and Selena pretty much discuss just jumping him all together strikes again.

Too an extent you might beable to pull it off... if you treated it like the awkard situation it is.

The problem is Timm treats it like the Psuedo male power wish fantasy that it clearly is. A younger nubile female is just enthralled with being with an older male. Essentially its porno logic, you have attractive female, attractive male 'say something that leads to spontaneous sex, move on to the next scene. Its like shaking hands but sweatier

Hell Timm literally has Barbara get knocked up by Bruce and Bruce pretty much brushes it off and then Barbara conveniently miscarries before going right back to trying to get into Bruce's pants... again

Which is ironic Timm's take on Bruce tends to be alot more compassionate and human.. save when it comes to his love life where he is Novel James bond levels of dickish. Unless your Andrea or Talia. Bruce pretty much treats it as find em, fuck em forget em

Batman Beyond, which was such a torrid mix of awesome, terrible and horrifying that fans are split whether it was a worthy successor to BTAS or so bad it should be exiled from reality.
