Suggestion: Title Of The Dead

Another title trope... I'll open with the Boris Karloff film Isle of the Dead◊.

Alternatively, we could try to show a variety of "X of the Dead" titles, but I'll let the hivemind debate that.

The title on the lower right is a parody of the title on the upper left. I would choose something else.

It doesn't and I didn't say that. "Counts as an example" and "makes a good image" are not at all the same thing. The Shaun title is not really distinct from the Dawn title, which detracts from the collage-ness.

Also the gutters being different widths bugs me. Nitpicky though :)

Is there another D title that would work there? Having three such titles and then Shaun is a little jarring.

If we're doing a montage, I might suggest the box art for The Typing of the Dead◊ for humor's sake?

Alright then. I've tried a few different ones; these titles should be more distinct, both phonetically and with the first letter, plus there's also a use of "[Living] Dead".

I kinda liked the idea the first montage had better - a few straight examples, a few dorkier examples. Second montage is entirely straight examples, which strikes me as a little too narrowly-focused.

^^^ I don't know if it matters, but Lawn doesn't exist outside of a yard haunt. That's a photoshopped poster from the 2004 Dawn of the Dead.

True, I gave a 'shopped image but that's because the original◊ may not fit.

I'm not sure on the particulars of fair use in that case, though. Distributing promotional material without permission is generally ok or at least tolerated (it's free promotion; that's self-explanatory), but promotional material that was changed without notice to promote a different copyrighted work?

Is that poster the whole poster or a portion? I am not overly familiar with copyright law.
