Speaking about Anankos, I really hope the next game will have a Final Boss who has two or more phases/forms that must be battled.

I hate the leafy sea dragon look for Manaketes in 13. I hate it. They look so weak and frail, compared to how badass they looked in 3 and the DS games.

It's such a ridiculous pandering to Awakening. It's so unnecessary and forced. I don't understand why they could haven't give us original units instead of kids. And I'm a Awakening fan.

I admit that while I like the design, I thought it was unfitting for the Manaketes in Awakening as well. Might as well make a new race of Dragons that look like Sea Horses.

Especially since Sea Horses invented Mister Seahorse since the males give birth.

Seahorses are baby dragons in Japanese mythology (that's why both seahorse Pokemon end up as Dragon-types when fully evolved). They found it fitting and ran with that.

And Fates kids are neat, thank you.◊

As I mentioned before, I didn't mind the leafy sea dragon look that the dragons of Awakening had because I got the reference to Japanese culture. I didn't think such designs looked weak or frail at all; in fact, I actually found them kind of graceful-looking.

Heck, maybe I don't mind weird dragon designs because I play Pokémon, and that game had all sorts of strange-looking dragons (Altaria, anyone?). I'm a bit of a sucker for unique dragon designs, which was why I really liked Lilith's design. And believe me, the dragon designs of Awakening and Fates were certainly a step-up from this not-so-intimidating thing.

But in the original Mystery of the Emblem, Manaketes used their Dragonstones to transform into dragons for a set number of turns on the map and allowed unlimited Breath attacks while in dragon form.

Meet The New Boss was responding to Karkat's question on the last page regarding how the child units are brought into the game.

I suppose. Apparently Kozaki has mentioned that he can't really draw armor (or he doesn't like to, or both), so he prefers doing it this way. It all looks good though (and course there are people that prefer how the characters look here compared to how they officially look in game).

Well, to be honest, I don't see anything wrong with how the child units in Fates. While Awakening had an influence on it's return, I like that I can get what's essentially a customizable unit who's influenced by two previous units.

Also, the twitter images do look rather good.

Huh so the Nohr/Hoshido dances weren't actually intended to harm Garon if that summary I read was right. It was meant to restore him as a normal human.

It also explains a bit better a problem I have. Kamui was rushing to save Aqua (I wasn't sure if this was it or if he was just copying Aqua like in IK) when they end up in Invisible Kingdom on Nohr, and it was their dragons blood that allowed them to see Garons true form.

Reading the comments it's surprising that Garon is glad that Asura is dead for the role he played in Aqua's kidnapping. I'm guessing Hydra didn't completely remove the affection he has for her as his stepdaughter. Even if most of it has been replaced by malevolent slime.

Also, it seems I was right in that Takumi could potentially have become Hoshido's "Garon" if he hadn't been taken down. Something I've noticed is that while remnants of their personalities are there, they are still not actually Garon or Takumi since Takumi confirms that he is basically dead and gone at that point.
