I kinda wonder if that is Garon's true form or if it turns out that it was impostor for whole game.

It's actually what I expected (and wanted to confirm through seeing the Robin amiibo in use) since Smash!Robin's main gender is male, and the amiibo characters appear to be based on their Smash Bros. appearance.

As someone pointed out on Serenes, this could mean that garon is a side quest-gained character like in awakening, in the 'miraculously survived story campaign' mode, with the zombiefied version of him being his otherwise final fate in the pure story campaign.

@OmegaRadiance That Torumaryuu picture looks like something out of Shin Megami Tensei.

Just thought of something regarding the blue-haired golden-eyed woman with the eerie smile. She kind of reminds me of Hilda, and there are some guessing she's Aqua's mothers. So...does that make Aqua an expy of Ishtar?
