Suggestion: Mad Bomber

Pic looks like a guy in a pile of boxes, not really bombs. Here's a better suggestion:

That's...honestly, about equivalent to the current to me. Both seem a little off quality-wise, too.

Any of the suggestions are better than the current. Most of that pile doesn't even look like bombs; outside of a few sticks of dynamite they look like giant brown boxes. At least the OP's suggestion makes it explicit.

Also, holy crap that caption is terrible. Boils down to "Corporal Pibald shows us how it's done".

The Bomber cards from Hearthstone from 4 are good. For a caption, how about their spawn quote ("Wanna blow somethin' up? Haha!" and "Did someone say bomb?" respectively)?

The only suggestion that captures the "mad" part of the trope as well as the current is 4.1

I don't think that the current depicts any "madness" at all, since it's just a guy with some boxes. Any of the suggestions is better, but I do like 4.1 best.

The only mad bombers that come to mind are Deidara ◊ from Naruto, Tiny Tina ◊ of Borderlands 2, Jackal from Fairy Tail, and Howard Payne ◊ Speed film's Big Bad.

Link in the 4th URL is broken. For the rest, I just see some explosions, and nothing else that would indicate the trope. for all of those.

None of these seem as mad and as bomber as the Hearthstone cards

For the record, my support is still for 4.1. I don't particularly like any of the suggestions in 11.

While the current does depict a mad bomber it does require knowledge of the webcomic the character is from. Of all the suggestions, I think 4.2 is the best.

4.1

My preference is for 4.2. 4.1 gives me more of a suicide bomber kind of feel; with the lit powder keg strapped on his back. Meanwhile, 4.2 is clearly enjoying the mayhem he's causing. What's more, even his hair is on fire.

Yeah 4.1 does seem like the picture.

This is that 4th picture guy Howard Payne played by Dennis Hopper.

Huh. I seem to have confused 4.1 and 4.2. Changing my vote to 4.2 then.

I was going to complain that people were under-rating the suggestion in the first post, but honestly, post twenty is better. So never mind.

I see Bomber there, but not Mad.

Dude's hair is on fire and he gives no F's. Plus, he's smoking a dynamite. That's got to be at least halfway aboard the crazy train.

I dunno. It looks like he's Laughing Mad. I can see the mad.
