Eventually, the protag comes to a point where the dream seems the most lifelike, only for it to be...another dream. He soon grows bored of the endless dreams, completely unfazed even as such things as a giant spider attempting to gnaw off his face transpire around him.
The character is basically a Flanderized version of Rei and even shares the same first name.
