The idea works. I wish more people would draw images for trope pages.
From the webcomic it looks like you draw in pencil then ink and color on a computer? If so, just a pencil drawing would be cool, so what people are approving or disapproving of is clearer. Just the idea of a troper-made image in general is fine; let's see it.

I think what he means is that the version he linked to is just a rough sketch, and he wants to make sure the concept works before he puts more time into finishing it.
Personally I think it would work perfectly fine.

So I am fully aware this is BUPKIS. I think I could draw a version of this that would fit well, though (click my signature to see examples of my art if needed). Here's
my suggestion. I didn't draw it out fully in case it needed tweaks or was flat out rejected and the thread closed again.
Description: In the foreground, a family picture of a mom, dad, and child. In the midground, two bodies which are visibly the parents lie on a bloody floor. A person who is visibly the child stands in the doorway in the background, clothes spattered with blood and holding a bloody knife.
I could also show the child about to kill the parents who are just watching TV on the couch or something.
