I don't think so, personally.

- if the links are all part of the description, nuke all but the first.
- if they are links inside of examples, leave them alone.

Don't think it matters. Not like they're hurting anything
If you actually want to go to the page it's about, you'd rather want to find a link fast than have to search for the first time it appeared. If you don't want to go to the page, what harm does it do?
Check out my fanfiction! My personal editing rule is once per paragraph.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.I'd second Zyffyr's proposal for handling this.
Expergiscēre cras, medior quam hodie. (Awaken tomorrow, better than today.)In context, it seems that if you're using a trope, it should be linked, regardless of how many times it's in a particular description. The solution seems to be to practice more economical writing, not mask the underlying problem with a style change.
"It's Occam's Shuriken! If the answer is elusive, never rule out ninjas!"I remember one time seeing someone change every mention of Kirk in the '09 Star Trek page to The Kirk.
With regards to being in the same example or paragraph, you only need one blue link to the trope. Because I can imagine readers see a link and want to click on it, versus stumbling upon it later in the page and having to backtrack to find the first link to the trope. But five blue links to the same trope in the same example or paragraph IS excessive, and evidence of rather poor writing and formatting.
I find it different linking a trope that's spelled out from a pothole applicable to whatever character or concept that's linked from. Linking a character name to a trope that applies to the character should only be done if it's relevant in the context. A trope on it's own, on the other hand, can be linked to it's own page any time it's mentioned.

I have another question regarding Redundance. When there's a page which contains many links to the same article, should there be taken out? For example, the trope page for Deconstruction has many links to the trope Real Life.
