Oh thank god.

Wow, I missed some shit while watching a dragon, a wildcat, a basset hound and a "duck" fight an alien.

On the bright side, this meant I wasn't worried, so there's that.

Apparently everyone needs to doublecheck their pledges, because kickstarter had to roll everything back or something.

Mine still seems to be there.

A glitch like this can really screw over more low profile projects. I hope the damage is minimal.

Watching Freedom Planet instead of this drama was absolutely the right choice.

Luckily my pledge still seems to be there.

On a side note, the kickstarter hype has motivated me to get back to my Order of Ecclesia Level 1 Hard Mode playthrough. I finally got through that awful awful Skeleton Cave. :D

Well, I got my bonus in my bank account.

I wonder if they'll have the option of level limits in this game.

One day I'll do a level 1 Hard run of Oo E. I hear it's hardest at the beginning of the game.

Based on the amounts they've previously announced about how much the Pay Pal account has pulled in (last number I have for that was $118 K about a week ago; should be higher now), we should be past the portable prequel stretch goal (though it hasn't been formally announced) and less than $200K away from Roguelike mode.

I've seen plenty of other Kickstarters I've contributed to do the random up/down fluctuation. I always suspected it had to do with internal controls dealing with troll accounts or the like; I find it a good rule of thumb to not get too excited about any given funding/stretch goal plateau until the project has gotten more than 20% of the difference between the previous two tiers (e.g. in this case, since the last two tiers were $250 K apart, I wasn't certain about the current tier until it was $50 K past meeting its most recent stretch goal).

Amazing.

Anyway, the 4,750,000 tier has been crushed, I thought it'd be impossible but with the paypal donations we might actually achieve the 5 mill one.

If the last stretch goal hasn't been reached yet, they'll certainly have it when this final day ends. Of course, every dollar is yet another that towards the budget, whether that be development, fulfilling backer rewards or whatever, so it's still worth pledging to help make development go as smoothly as possible. I hope development goes well.

The sum is currently at 4,850,000, so if the paypal estimate above is indeed correct we might actually already have it.

Looks like Shovel Knight will make a crossover cameo in Bloodstained. His role is currently unknown, though.

Ben Judd confirmed in the comments that the current total, including Paypal, is over 5 million.

Congratulations. Happy to have put $100 towards this.

And, of course, our comments about the "last stretch goal" are somewhat moot, as they added Boss Revenge Mode as one last $5.5 million goal. If you asked me six months ago, I probably would not have cared. After playing Ganon's DLC in Hyrule Warriors, though.... bring it on!

I like the Pure Miriam costume.

I hope the pure Miriam costume means that we'll be getting other alternate costumes as well. The game is 2.5d so they'll be using 3D models. It follows that costumes wouldn't be to hard to pull off. Because, to be honest, I don't like Miriam's default costume that much. Waist and above is fine, but the poofy little skirt and bare legs seem off for someone fighting demons in a big castle. At the very least, it looks chilly.

I think the blonde hair was a recent addition. Like, the past few days, since in that picture that depicted "happier times" I believe Miriam was a brunette.

It's certainly a nice dress.

I know it's an impossibility now But i'd like to think that if we hit 6 million IGA becomes playable....

I dunno if they'd go that far. Then again, Boss Revenge... Man, IGA's been a personality in the industry for a while, but this KS seems to have elevated him to almost Reggie levels.

What's "boss revenge mode"?

Also I see that my very early personal prediction that this would hit $500 $5 million has indeed happened.
