Enter the Arena As Your Avatar... V5 (Continuing off Knowless')

-With its quarry gone out of sight, the creature tries to slow down its sprint. Instead it tumbles and crashes into a tree near the old man-

"So your my opponent..." Stan runs up to the beast and gives it a big punch.

-As if the trauma from the impact isn't enough, the thing is almost-immediately gets sucker punched in the bow, causing its armor to crack. A black, wispy substance appears to leak from the rifts in the plating-

-The creature springs back into position, giving Stan a nasty hiss and a 21-inch torpedo from its launcher tubes, also mounted on its jawless mouth-

In a flash of light, a woman wearing monochromatic battle gi appears near Stan and the creature. She takes a moment to sense their strength, then enters a combat stance as she stares down the creature.

-deep breath- It's time for another session of live training..

The man grasps his arm in pain. "That's it! You're going down now!"

-Noticing the woman, the creature quickly fires a shell from its main gun towards her, using the recoil to propel itself backward and create more distance-

-The shell isn't a mere HE, though. When it approaches a certain distance from the woman and Stan, it explodes in mid-air, sending white-hot shrapnel in a bigger radius than the explosion itself-

The woman - hereafter referred to by her name, Solanum - quickly raises a large energy barrier around herself to defend against the shell's explosion and shrapnel burst. She then returns fire by rapidly firing 20 blasts of ki at the creature. Each blast will explode upon impact, compounding the potential damage dealt.

Two beings arrive. A mischievous hyena, glaring intently with his red eyes, and a hermit crab of sharp wit, they begin building something out of wood and rocks.

-The creature, now more accustomed to land, manages to weave, duck, and bob around the shots. Some, however, do hit it, and create even more cracks on its armor plating-

-The creature manifests what appears to be twin 40 mm Bofors mount◊ on its back, returning fire with armor-piercing shots alongside a full salvo of four torpedoes-

The hyena, known as Zig, and the hermit crab, known as Bernie, begin creating an army of robots shaped like the hyena. The army slowly moves towards the battlefield.

Solanum weaves through the hail of gunfire as she approaches the creature. Once within melee range, she attempts to send it flying with a heavy uppercut. She notices the army of robots from her peripheral vision, but decides to ignore it for now.

"It's hurtin time!" Stan puts on his brass knuckles and gives the creature a big blow.

The hyena-shaped robots make a message. It reads:

"OUR MASTERS, ZIG AND BERNIE, SENSE FORCE IN YOU, A FORCE GREAT ENOUGH TO DEFEAT EVEN SHARKO. SHOW US WHERE THE HEARTLAND AND THE RICHES OF MERMAIDS ARE."

"What?" Stan is befuddled.

-Both of the strikes connect, with Solanum's destroying the creature's sole eye. More cracks appear on its armor, and some of the plating actually falls off, revealing that inside the shell is... Nothing. Just a big, incredibly dark hole that seems to evaporate some kind of black fog. The black substance that emits from its eye socket is so intense that it seems to burn in a blue flame-

-Blinded and airborne, the creature can only shriek and fire a mad barrage of shells, bullets, and torpedoes at the immediate area below it-

The hyena and the crab looked at them angrily. The robots made another message.

"DO YOU KNOW WHERE IS THE FABLED LAND OF THE MERMAIDS? THE MAN WHO HIRED OUR MASTERS TO ASSASSINATE YOU SAID YOU KNOW WHERE IT IS."

The crab facepalmed. The robots revealed too much.

Solanum creates another energy barrier to deflect the barrage of ordnance fired by the creature. However, since any and all projectiles that hit the barrier are bounced off in random directions, a small amount of bullets may wind up going in the direction of the robots.

The robots, being dumb automatons made out of wood, are destroyed, but only some. The rest of the robot army continues moving. Cannons appear out of their heads, aiming at the eldritch creature.

-Although it lands with a big crash that further damages it, the creature somehow still finds strength to stand. Without its eye, the thing can only rely on its radar suite for sensing, and what it finds is that it's completely surrounded by even more hostiles. A series of K-guns◊ appear on its stern, lobbing depth charges at the robot army much like grenades-

The robots move mindlessly and are all destroyed, but not before firing a barrage of rockets at the creature and Stan. They have a grudge towards Stan.

Zig and Bernie are the only ones that remain. They hide under the ground.

Solanum creates two orbs of energy that orbits her body, then quickly advances toward the creature while firing multiple piercing lasers at it from her fingertips. The orbs orbiting Solanum also fires energy bullets in tandem with her own attacks.

Zig and Bernie begin burrowing towards the creature. Zig is using Bernie's shell as a drill. They hope to strike the creature in its... stomach.

-Sure enough, the barrage of rockets, lasers, and energy bullets brings the wounded creature down. It's not dead yet, but merely hanging to its life by the slightest. Cracks and holes in its armor expose its innards into the elements. Oil seeps out of its tanks and into the scorched ground, creating a trail of fire that slowly spreads. The thing can only whimper as it realizes that this is its end-

-And then Zig and Bernie drills into its ammunition magazines-

Zig and Bernie appear, ravaged by the explosion. Of course, being Butt Monkeys, they survive.

-Not so for the Ni-class Destroyer-
