Huh. Sweetums just said a regular, full sentence.
That episode was glorious. I didn't dislike the first half of the season, but I'm eager to see where they go with having Piggy as part of the team now.
Fresh-eyed movie blogI think I'm feeling better about these new episodes because they intentionally made it more uplifting.
I enjoyed it, and good to see that Chip didn't get tossed completely overboard.
"Got Silk"
Piggy's starting to realize she's not easy to deal with, and that her screentime on her show is smaller? :D Wow that's oddly satisfying to see after she acted ruthlessly in the first part of the show.
That book of sketches Carl took out must've contained every skit from The Muppet Show!
Kermit: "Hey, try to keep your pants on in the office." Rizzo: "Okay, Mister Naked!"
Makes it even funnier when you realize it's Steve Whitmire Talking To Himself!
I didn't realize Steve Whitmire was Rizzo too.
Fresh-eyed movie blogDude. Rizzo is one of his few characters that he started out performing right when the character was created, all the way up to today! There are only like 3 Muppeteers left that still perform the character they originated.

I got to know his name as the post-Jim voice of Kermit.
In The Muppets Take Manhattan, when Kermit stumbles into the ad agency full of frogs, there was something really weird about the voices until I realized that one of the performers doing their best Kermit imitation was Whitmire, meaning there were actually two Kermits in the scene.
Fresh-eyed movie blogApparently one of the show's advocates at ABC stepped down recently.
"Hashtag Renew The Muppets" is starting to trend.
I like the show, but my biggest problem is there still isn't a lot of focus on Piggy's show.

With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationNot a huge fan of Robin's voice these days.
Same. Also, I'm really confused about how old is he supposed to be. Is he a Manchild or an actual one?
He's still like a kid, or at least a naive teen. I been actually waiting to see a Robin episode like this for a long time. It almost broke me when he said, "It's just everything's changing."
But his "growth spurt in your thirties" line made it sound like he's past the potential teenager growth spurts, which is exactly what threw me off.
Cartoon magic?
Last episode of the season!
- The acts during Piggy's show were legit callbacks to the original Muppet Show, such as the Swedish Chef's cooking sketch, and Ralph the doctor! Love it.
- As predicted, at least one side of the Kermit and Piggy realized they love the other, this case being Kermit! Yaaay!
- Pache kind of got "defeated" in a pretty anticlimactic way, and seemed rather forced.
- Sweetums still talks in full sentences now. That still seems odd to me.
- The season ends on a cliffhanger with nothing completely resolved. While Kermit wants to get back together with Piggy again, Piggy isn't sure and indirectly forces Kermit onto going a trip to Thailand with her (long story). I hope this means a second season!

Hey Its That Guy The doctor tending to Piggy is Phil LaMarr!
With all the memes about women choosing a bear over a man, Hollywood might wanna get on an 'East of the Sun and West of the Moon' adaptationI know. I spotted that on my own. :D
Yeah, Pache's "defeat" was really weak. The actor sounded so fake while being thankful that I was sure he was just going to turn at the door, yell "Psyche!" and lock his captors in his dressing room as a revenge.
He'll be back in season 2 plotting his revenge after his father's sporting equipment firm went under because he convinced him to do all new and hip sports no one actually did.
"You can reply to this Message!"Pache's end in this series was clearly the most poorly written part of the finale. I really did expect him to reveal he was just acting.
Lots of Muppets Tonight references in the last episode.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.
New episode!
TIP: They are now at 8:30 pM, not 8.
Did anyone expect Walter to make an appearance once Pache said he's gonna replace Fozzie with "a new guy who from Youtube who can create noises with his mouth"?
