I could do without more Pepe focus but the rest sounds pretty good.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.Pepe I can take or leave but I love the other two, especially Rizzo.
Trump delenda estA new FB video confirmed the fears of all Muppet fans over the world: ... they are apparently making Gonzo try online dating in this new show, which doesn't make sense considering most if not some of the past Muppet iterations had him paired with Camila the chicken. I REALLY hope they justify this in some way, or else it would be like a case where the creators do not know about what they're adapting.
The showrunner was the sole writer of Muppet Vision 3 D and wrote episodes of The Jim Henson Hour and Fraggle Rock. He's also one of three writers credited on The Muppets Celebrate Jim Henson. To "not know about what they're adapting" Bill Prady would need his friggin' mind erased.
I don't think Gonzo and Camila splitting up is anyone's "fear".

Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies.People just seem to jump on anything which they can use to be angry it seems.
Like a few days ago I saw a n angry tumblr post (tm) about how Kermit was "scum" for leaving Piggy for another pig.
If reblogging angry tumblr posts (tm) with sane responses wasn't basically pointless 90% of the time I'd tried it but eh.
Lets wait and see.

"You can reply to this Message!"Was it for Kermit leaving Piggy for another pig, or for him leaving Piggy for a skinnier pig? Because I think I saw a thing that people are upset the new pig girl is thinner than Piggy.
Don't remember. But then again...angry tumbler (tm)
"You can reply to this Message!"It probably says something about the franchise that the two biggest female characters are both defined by being in relationships with dudes, and that one of them can't even speak coherently. To say nothing of the fact that they're both played by dudes.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies. The Muppets cast isn't exactly progressive. For years there have been very few prominent females, with Miss Piggy totally stealing the spotlight from any of the others. Janice is there, but she's voiced and performed by a man, and she doesn't do much.
...there is not, to my knowledge, a single woman in the current Muppeteer troupe.
Louise Gold was in Muppets Most Wanted but none of her characters had any lines so I'm not counting it.
Maybe you'd be less disappointed if you stopped expecting things to be Carmen Sandiego movies....oh goddamn you are right. I looked it up on Wikipedia and all of the puppeteers and voices are male.
On the other hand, the first episode is called "Pig Girls Don't Cry."
The show premiered a day early for us Canadians, so I felt I might as well get my initial thoughts out. Overall, it's a bit shaky but there's few jokes that work.
The show is trying to emulate The Office (US) or Parks and Recreation, as in it's in a faux-documentary style. Because of this, a lot of the humor is more subdued than in most Muppet productions. The main plot focuses on Kermit & Miss Piggy's relationship a few months after they broke up. You can feel the strain on their relationship, but I'm not quite sure how I feel about it. Kermit's new girlfriend, Denise, doesn't leave much of an impact, but that's mostly because she's not given much to do.
There's also a subplot involving Fozzie dating a human woman and while it does have a few laughs, the basic premise is "it's like a interracial relationship and her father does not approve". There's also a lot more sex jokes than I was expecting. I don't think they go too overt, but I can definitely see people being turned off by that. I think this a series that's going to split the fanbase, so we'll see how the next few episodes go.

~Is also Canadian but can't find the show~
ON WHAT CHANNEL!?
I kept checking thinking it would be on today, but I couldn't find it! Where did you watch it?
One Strip! One Strip! It was on City TV, 8:00 PM EST. So if you're living in Ontario or the Maritimes, you may have missed it.
No. I'm in Edmonton, and it's not 8:00 here yet.
I might still be able to catch it.....if I can remember what channel City TV is.
Edit: Found it!
9:00, so I still got two hours.....well, I knew I was done with Gotham.
Edit 2: Or, I'll end up watching Gotham anyway, and come back to this tomorrow.
So much for that plan.

One Strip! One Strip!I'm pretty excited about this, it's hilarious that Kermit and Ms Piggy had a bad breakup
I live here now.One Million Moms has predictably attacked ABC for even creating this and is trying to boycott the airing of it. ... not understanding that ABC has always allowed some amount of mature content (the more kid-oriented stuff belongs on ABC Family), and that The Muppets were never supposed to be 100% kid-friendly anyway.
It's weird hearing Kermit say stuff like hell and God. There's a joke about alcoholics anonymous and I think Kermit implied that he and his new girlfriend had sex. Not sure. Maybe the Muppets weren't originally intended to be G-rated, but the fact is that, unless you count the pilot "Sex and Violence," the Muppets have never been anything but G-rated. There have always been in-jokes only adults would get, but I have never heard them doing anything like this before.
Not that I'm complaining mind you. I actually really liked the episode. It's just weird is all. But the Muppets are clearly going in a new direction and I'm not surprised some people don't like it.
Does anyone even care what Soccer Mom Inc. thinks?
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty....Did Miss Piggy say "anus" near the end?
My Twitch.I can see promise in this show. I do like how it brought back moments and jokes from the pilot. This is clearly more taking a cue from The Office over other mockumentary shows. I just need to get used to seeing childhood icons talking about making babies and being integrated into real life society. Kermit and Piggy's rocky relationship was there from when Piggy became a character, so I have no problem watching them try to talk to each other as ex's.
Saw the episode tonight. Significantly better than The Muppet's most recent comeback and I am legitimately digging the adult style of this new show. I don't understand why some people feel they should have to pander to kids- this feels a lot more of a tour to force for them.
Additionally, liked seeing Elizabeth Banks and Tom Bergeron although I think Kermit was a bit too sarcastic to the guest stars.

There is nothing on that list I don't like.
