I am wondering...I think most of the rights of the various animated Spider-Man shows are either with Disney or with Sony. Could it be possible that we will get a cameo of one of more of those prior Spidermans? There are so many known versions of him, wouldn't it be kind of fun to encounter as many as possible of him?
Japanese Spider-Man or riot.
I know Sony for a fact owns the rights to MTV and Spectacular. Depending on how closely Marvel collaborates with Sony on this movie, they could get the rights to the other shows for at least quick cameos.
Latest blog update (November 5th, 2022).I think Disney owns naturally the shows which run on ABC, but the ones which run of Fox kids too, because they bought the channel a few years ago (which is why they also own the rights to the X-men animated series instead of Fox).
Agreed with the comments on the previous page about this hopefully being a trendsetter. Unlike most superhero films, animated films constantly strive for subversion and with that in mind, it would be very refreshing. Would make the theatres still bloated with superhero movies but it's worth it when my Saturday morning cartoons aren't delivering.
That said, Sony has an awful track record and after the Emoji Movie, my expectations are super low.
Disney bought that channel and its library close to two decades ago, and it has not aired much of it. I hope that when Disney's streaming service arrives, they'll make the Fox Kids library available as an add-on (for $1-2).
And yeah, this movie looks like nothing else in animation. It should be very successful (should Sony continue to do a good job with marketing it).

"You can run, but you can't hide from the Buzzinator!"Well, nobody has ever accused Sony of its animation being bad...the complains were always about the soulless stories they tell with it. And that is something you can solve simply by putting the right directors and writers on a project and then leaving them to do their job without too much corporate input
I see some outlines laid directly onto the characters' bodies. It oddly reminds me of what the game studio Telltale Games puts out.

Really looking forward to this movie. It's nice to see something a bit different from the usual animated movie fare, even if I love Pixar and Disney's work.
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"Nicolas Cage may have joined the movie as the voice of Spider-Man Noire [1]
If we’re getting Noir, then they have no excuse not to have Japanese Spider Man.
Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man in one movie and Superman in another?
Does this mean we will get an animated adaption of Superman vs. The Amazing Spider-Man starring Nicolas Cage as both heroes?

Wake me up at your own risk.Problem is Takuya was barely in the actual event comic, so I'm not all that hopeful.
"Yup. That tasted purple."At the Sony Panel it was revealed that Peter is 40 and that he sees something in Miles that makes him excited about being Spider-Man again. Also new image [1]◊
Other spider-people confirmed to appear are Spider-Ham who will be voiced by John Mulaney, Peni Parker voiced by Kimiko Glenn, and Nicolas Cage as Spider-Man Noir.
