Suggestion: Technicolor Death

Given how visual the trope is, I'm semi-surprised that it doesn't have an image yet. With that in mind, I'd like to make a couple suggestions:

As a Death Trope, it's a given that any image would be naturally spoiler-y. Anyone with other suggestions?

1.2 and 1.3 have hotlink protection, just as an FYI. 1.2 will show up as way too small, while 1.3 will redirect you to the site's front page.

I find the suggestions either not working, as mentioned, or unclear what they illustrate.

An image would not be spoilery if it's not obvious who the dying character is.

Becky: Who are you? The Mysterious Stranger: An angel. Huck: What's your name? The Mysterious Stranger: Satan.

Let's see, the first one looks like the big head does some green magicky stuff to him, the second looks like he's being thrown into some kind of green portal, and the last one looks... actually rather decent. Not sure what considerations spoilers would have there, though.

I'm not certain if it's a huge spoiler that Voldemort dies.

A spoiler in general, I suppose, but the Big Bad coming to an untimely end is kind of predictable in works like that.

These are from Don Bluth's Anastasia. Lucky for us he dies this way not once but twice.

1. Breaking into green light.

2. Falling into green light.

3. Sucked into a purple well.

That first one's pretty good.

Yes, the first Rasputin pic is nice.

The purple well isn't a death scene, thats where he sells his soul for magical powers.

[up][up]Oh you're right, the first death was at the river.

Here it is at wiki size.

Weird, at that size it took me a second to realize that was a person, not just a fancy desktop wallpaper.

Still, I can see it now. Better than nothing.

It's a bit hard to see him in the middle of all that, but it's good enough.

This might just be a lateral move, but here's a taller crop of the image with no resizing.

[up] Not as clean looking, but certainly clearer than before. Works for me. [tup]

Much clearer. Quality's not amazing, but I'm sure a quality upgrade could come down the line.

@Ernast

You expect something different from Rasputin himself?

Anyway that cropped image for him is pretty good[tup]

That image took me about 3 minutes to figure out exactly what it is, honestly it still looks like an abstract wallpaper even while cropped.

[up]And those aren't the trope.

From the trope description:

"Note that this is not just dying in a flashy way, this is when the flashiness comes from the death itself, so for instance a character dying by having a bomb inside him is not this trope, as the explosion comes from the bomb and not from the character's death."

[up] Agreed. They were killed with something colorful, but the death itself isn't this trope.
