"Yeah, that, that's what we were talking about... Does that job pay well, at least?" Jake asked.
The Restauraunt
Adrian nodded. "It does indeed..."
And so time progressed as it tended to (unless you believed in Einsteinian relativity, but that's not exactly related to this roleplay, so I digress). Some people ate, others wandered, others drank their fill, still others retrofitted starfighters.
Of course, however, what little peace our merry little band of misfits had managed to accrue was not to last, and after three hours of merriment, work, and mayhaps boredom, everyone in the Fleet received a relatively high-priority communication from none other than Klaudjis himself.
"Alright, fleet," he began, "I would like you all to report to the castle. The guards will allow you in. The Minister of Defense has finally found an operation you can take part in so that he can judge your skills. While it is not of paramount importance I can assure you entering thinking it is a blue milk run will result in your death."
Outside the Castle
Ravage and Fangs would no longer have to wait - a minute after the radio transmission, the guards stepped aside and allowed entrance.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Emily had been leaning back in her chair after ordering seconds, relaxing and enjoying the feeling of being full. When the communication from Klaudijs arrived, she heaved herself out of her chair and said "Right, we should probably head over. Who's paying?"
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor Hebert"Uhhhhh... I dunno, I don't think they accept my kinda currency here... Adrian, ya got something?" Jake asked, glancing aside.
Marcia is busy listening to the message from Klaudjis. Also, she's busy enjoying Stanistan's equivalent of a Banh Mi sandwich.
The Restauraunt
Adrian looked between the two of them. "Give me a few seconds and I'll get this covered. Thankfully, Stanistan actually pays its waiters and waitresses instead of forcing them to rely on tips. Like some other places." He moved over to the checkout and began paying for the meal. It wasn't a process that would take very long.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Marcia looks at her companions, Seth and Silas. Hopefully, they finished eating.
"R-ready to um s-start the mission?"
Silas had finished his burger "Yep. I am more than ready."
"As ready as I'll ever be, for a guy who's never seen combat."
He finishes off his last slice of pizza.
Marcia heads towards the palace. In her mind, her first mission might as well be the hardest one.
The Restauraunt
A few seconds later, Adrian finished paying off the bill and headed over to Emily and Jake.
"There we go, it's paid for. On me. But as soon as you get your own money I expect you to start paying for your own shit, alright? Now. We've got a job to do. Let's roll." He headed outside, towards Jake's car.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp.""Aye aye, Captain Mc Sir, don't you worry about that!" Jake replied with a mock salute before heading to his car and jumping in, opening the passenger door from inside for the others while searching for something in the glovebox.
Emily hopped into the back seat and leaned over to look at what Jake was doing. "What're you looking for up there?"
“Not a promise, not an oath, or a malediction or a curse. Inevitable." - Taylor HebertThe Restauraunt
Adrian slid into the back seat, somehow contorting himself in an almost impossible fashion to do so without inconveniencing either of the current passengers of the vehicle.
"I think they want us to meet in the castle."
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp.""Just gettin' us some music for the trip!" Jake said with a grin as he took out a cassette tape and put it into the car's radio, pressing play as he started driving off towards the castle, resisting the urge to floor it.
As Marcia walks towards the palace, she looks at her companions. She wonders if they're level-headed than she is at the moment.
"I h-hope this m-mission goes um off without a h-hitch. After all, we are um doing a mission f-for someone important."
And so everyone headed over to the castle, whether by car or by foot. It didn't really matter how much time it took them to get there; it only mattered that they got there, and get there they did.
The guards were momentarily confused at the sight of Jake's red sports car, but as soon as they realized who was inside they were let in. Meanwhile, when Marcia, Silas, and Seth made it to the castle, several guards were waiting outside to take them in.
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."All of the merry travelers will probably notice Ravager is waiting right at the "front door" of the castle, lying there like a bored robotic rug. Evidently, he's been waiting the whole time since the guards were told to let him pass, and while he doesn't say it to them, his glare makes it obvious he wants to comment on how late they've been and how long he's had to wait for them.
We Are Our Avatars Forever (Now on Discord by invitation, PM)When Marcia noticed the glare from Ravager, she tried to move away from him. Her guilt for goofing off with the others is quite evident.
"I'm s-sorry about that..."
"Welp, there we are. Let's get out there and get shit done, huh?" Jake said as to the two other occupants as he parked and stepped out of the car.
The Castle
Adrian got out of the car after Emily and Jake - being in the back seat meant that he wasn't exactly equipped to get out first.
He immediately took note of Ravager glaring at him, and cocked his head. "The fuck're you looking at me like that for?"
"Seven is here too, dressed like the concept of choosing clothes that look nice together was an arcane secret far beyond their grasp."Seth just glared back at Ravager as he walked towards the castle.
"Well, about time. I was getting bored of looking at starships parts for everyone."

Emily gets out of the car and shuts the door. She notes Ravage's glare and gives him the stink-eye, but does nothing more.

"Y-yeah... An ar-army um runs on its s-stomach, right?"
