Ok fine I concede I misunderstood the first one but this does not change the second one

What part of "Your equipment was nerfed" are you missing? I did not say anything because I should not have HAD to say anything. Both I and Norm have tried to drill it into your skull that what works in 40K does not necessarily work here. And "Don't metagame and assume the attack obliterated the enemy armor controlled directly by the GM" is not something I should have to explain. I'm done Chabal. You clearly are unable to understand what is and is not acceptable with the Orks and I'm done trying to get you to understand.

Then where, exactly, did I say it obliterated anything. The weapon goes into armor, the actual thickness of which is not for me to say.

Honestly, it's not getting kicked out (that was bound to happen) that annoys me so much as you thinking I expect One Hit Kills for everything.

Your post said it went through the armor "as if it were wet sand". What am I supposed to take from that in regards to your intent?

Best analogy I could find in terms of how the thing works (an energy field that breaks atomic bonds, like going through damp, compact sand with bare hands). I dunno, is this, but slower better?

Chabal the problem is not just the claw itself. It's the fact that you've, time and time again, gone and posted and said exactly what an attack does even after I have REPEATEDLY warned you not to do just that. Do you think I want to constantly have to come in here and repeat this same issue with you? I don't have anything against you man, but god damn it, I've lost count of the number of times I've had to tell you off for this and other shit. I've had people telling me I should have kicked you months ago, but I really did not want to, because I hate having to kick people out, I really do. But I can't keep doing this shit man. I have to put my foot down here and follow through on the warning.

Is it too much to hope there are no hard feelings here? I don't want ether of us holding grudges cause of this if it can be helped.

Sorry for my absence - I've been too caught in playing Homura Akemi the interplanetary landlady. I've already started on the next post - I will try to get it up tonight.

I was holding off on Mitakihara until I got a response from Mega, given that it's his overall chunk.

Will add it into my next post.

I've also taken a mental break from Iacon for the moment, until I feel ready to handle both invasions and defences.

I'll post more in a bit. Got a day off tomorrow. Can't believe I forgot about Lovikiv, it was one of those posts that felt like it would be simple to do and just assumed I did until remembering now. May post for common room since new people, then again I should probably focus on not having so many schedule slips with posts I do have have rather then starting new ones.

Especially shuttle 3, I really should't tie up a celebrity like Vader I'll start giving that post priority, especially since I think a number of people are looking to have a swing at the guy. Who's looking to fight him? May try to use that tweet to gather a few who want to fight that guy in one encounter to save time and Vader some bus fare on making the rounds.

Also a number of days late, but happy anniversary all!

So. Let's talk events for a second people. This is your heads up. Don't expect me to do this very often. This event is loads of fun, don't get me wrong. But there's a LOT of shit we have to do for this and you'll note the game's slowed down some. In the future, I will favor more localized/optional/player run events to Battleworld wide events. For instance, the Genosha wedding on day 4.

Also, a warning. If you've not made decent progress toward resolving your Empire Invasion by the time we get to the second half of the event (The Death Star), don't expect me to hold the game up for you. Those who've been waiting on Norm I'll be more understanding toward and see what I can do for you.

Hi guys, expect a post from me later today.

In the interest of keeping a faster pace, my posts may be lacking the same detail that I usually like to keep to, but I don't want to leave people in the lurch.

This is about the moment where the tide turns against the Empire, and I'd like to move towards resolving battles entirely, starting with Folkestone.

May or may not post for common room, did get me thinking about scheming Sylvia.

How frowned upon would it be if she hired/reminded Desperado to cause a ruckus in Genosha. With queeny lady (forgot her name) laying out Genosha's fake surrender plan, She would have a general idea of whats going on. With tensions high among strangers, a sudden and very public attack against the invaders may be enough to set off that power keg. Then with things going to shit, alittle whisper to the humans that now is the best chance topple the kingdom.

As to why she would want to screw over Genosha, the HGT, Iacon, Genosha alliance (peace treaty?) is one she has concrete info on. Alliances are bad for business. Taking out genosha takes out one third of the planed alliance and drives a physical wedge between the remaining two. Desperado gets gainful employment taking out any attempts at trade with one another. Alliance dies, genosha becomes a platform to destabilize the east. Valuable considering concern with a growing overwhelming ethnic population all being clumped together.

Even if things don't completely pan out, worse case scenario, the UAA gets some nice footage. And there are ways to turn a consolation prize into a win. On one hand, wedding, on the other, "fuck yo paradise Magnus!"

@ Meaken: For all intents and purposes, treat Shinobu as side steps, slashes. That's just me goofing off with over kill and getting a dark step in. I don't want to alarm with her speed as its primarily just cosmetic. Shinobu and Henry may "flash step" to highlight they are fast, but they won't actually do anything that couldn't be accomplished with a simple dodge roll.

@ Un: Forgot to mention, that Anri post is bad ass, I am half tempted just to sit back and watch her work, haha.

Neet, I have some depressing news for ya. I've more or less lost interest in Desperado and had plans to remove them from the game after the Empire Event. But I'm sure it won't be THAT hard to find someone else. Might talk the Vault Hunters into it, they don't like Genosha, but like getting paid.

Aww, but they are cyborg ninja mercenaries! Now who am I supposed to go to for all immoral wet work like having a ten year old pimp shot in the face. Ah well, I guess she is supposed to be manipulative, simply handing over cash is hardly that, haha. Taking away the easy option does add for some role play opportunity/challenge. And did want to see if Sylvia can form some collaborations with Waller, which is looking more viable now that she has enemies with the Bat.

While I am in scheming mode...if I can just get Vader to Destroy Stadium...I could end this war!

A few things, Neet:

  • At the moment, there's no official alliance between Genosha and any of the eastern chunks. If I recall correctly, Magnus has definitely considered the SEES' proposal for an alliance, but hasn't really done much to contribute to it yet. Pietro went to their neighbors and told them Genosha wasn't interested in fighting them, but that's pretty much it.

  • Thanks mostly to Nyarly, HGT hates Genosha. Magnus knows only half the reasons why, and he barely even cares about that. Much of the later half of Day 2 was various HGT characters warning Iacon and Mitakihara about how dangerous Genosha might be, and that they should be ready to fight together once the mutants come marching in.

  • By "invaders," you mean the Galactic Empire, right? That plan might backfire more than you think. So far, Agent Vicket has seen nothing but cooperation from Genosha's people—they're practically throwing them a goddamn parade right now! Since Vicket knows that the other chunks have been much less cooperative, what do you think will be her first thought when somebody barrels through that giant wall and starts beating up stormtroopers? Magnus has her ear, and he'll (honestly, ha ha!) claim that these attackers aren't citizens of Genosha; they're hostile foreigners from somewhere else. Hell, depending on when you attack, the entire Xorn strategy might be thrown on your mercs! The Empire and Mean's characters can waste energy killing each other while the Red Guard, Team Juniper, and the EPR sneak onboard a shuttle for the Death Star! [lol]

Point one - True, but Sylvia doesn't actually know that. She has to work with information gained a day or so ago told to her by Ace Attorney Daredevil. She also only has hunch about the SEES group or she would be much more aggressive about taking them out. Even so, peace alone isn't good. Idealistically she would want everyone killing everyone else. Except maybe Santa Destroy, Santa Destroy is your friend.

Point two - True, but again, Sylvia doesn't actually know that. Besides, I was under the impression that both sides were too political for open warfare. Magnus even willing to publicly denounce loyal Night crawler to use as a patsy and such. I might be missing some thing though. Summer was really chaotic for me and I don't remember all the details that happened.

Point three - Genosha was regarded something like a threat level 4 based on Intel from the Cure, only for them to be greeted with a parade. That discrepancy has to still be gnawing at the back of her mind. And with all those other reports of ''ITS A TRAP".

A merc group like the Desperado or Vault Hunters is too small to engage in open warfare by its self. Idealistically their missions should be kill the Imperial representative in a very loud and open manner. With Vicket dead, the Empire's impression would be "We sent and agent to this chunk, she's dead now." Even failing that, the illusion of peace or safety shatters with the attempt. Even if she gives him the benefit of the doubt, its not like some guy she just met is above suspicion. If it doesn't end in fighting, it ends with making Magnus plan that much harder as he is put under heavier scrutiny, which makes the need resort to plan B all that much more likely. If you can't solve it without violence...

As for other culprits, another chunk seems an unlikely story, though I guess it depends on how you spin. All hostile chunks are engaged in all out war in their own territory. Who would be stupid enough to reallocate resources from their own front to fight genosha's battle for them. You may be able to spin it as a preemptive attack to keep the Empire from getting a foot hold thanks to a turn coat. You could also use the human forces as a scape goat, especially if mercs can successfully incite a human rebellion. But both those options lead to more options.

While red guard and EPR is morally grey, you got Team J with you as well. Standing by while guys who are technically attacking the "badguys", and just letting them die with out lifting a finger doesn't exactly leave a nice fuzzy feeling. If a rebellion gets ignited, thats even more morally grey. And with the empire themselves being mostly human, I am sure there is fun to be had there. Plus with their being "fighting" BCN gets filming rights, including Genosha helping the empire kill ordinary humans revolting. Besides, if an incident occurs, there is no way the empire just lets Genosha go on its way, the redguard gets put on the front lines because its their mess they have to clean.

All in all, Sylvia has very little to lose. You kill her mercenaries, she doesn't have to pay them. She could cover her tracks enough to keep her finger prints off the incident, and even if someone does try to investigate, there is enough buffer to make sure their trail ends up cold. The objective is simply to cause chaos in another chunk to keep them from becoming too stable. If that chaos is as small merc pulling off terrorist incidents, that no sweat off her back.

But I'm just playing with ideas, more then likely the usual will happen, I get distracted and nothing comes of it.
