Battleworld [Discussion Thread]

Just a heads up for Meanken/Strat (and whoever else might be concerned). I'm in the process of moving and that means I'm going to be without internet from Monday to hopefully Wednesday, and probably decently distracted settling in after that.

I guess I should check again to make sure, but Dracula being a vampire supreme is supposed to be common knowledge among Earth people from centuries after his, right? I realize Lisa wouldn't know this, and I don't include his abilities in that or anything, but I mean his association with the night and vampires and Vlad the historical figure.

That's the assumption I've been going off of, hence why all of the NPC's under my control automatically knew who Dracula was, and I've not seen any complaints from GG about that.

Alright, cool. Have been contemplating explaining that it's public knowledge in-character and wanted to make sure I wasn't totally off-base.

While it likely wasn't public knowledge in Lisa's time since, you know, I don't believe the townspeople who killed would have done so for the reasons given in canon if they knew she was the wife of a vampire lord, it is public knowledge during Dracula's time because, hey, he was trying to take over all of Europe. Remember, Lisa was killed for being a witch because of her medicinal talents, not for being the wife of a vampire lord. Key difference here.

In any case, it's supposed to be less being suspicious at SEES and more being annoyed at SEES for blurting out that thing and causing more issues for her husband. After all, Dracula has to deal with Hei, the Battleworld Coverage Network, Folkestone, and now Cairo, as well as incursions by giant robots, James Bond, and a unknown demon rival.

I just realized I haven't posted in the discussion for friggin' ever!

I actually quite liked Nyarly's performance. He checked off many boxes in my "How to BSOD Hei" list, so I'm happy to say Hei's gonna be freakin' out about this thing for a while.

On the other hand, if Havoc and Nyarly ever end up butting heads, Nyarly's gonna need to think of a new strategy. Havoc is the Honeybadger of Contractors. She don't care, and she don't give a shit!

So I have played Undertale and basically pulled an all-nighter playing it to the true end.

I’m actually going to hold off on the Mikado post for just a little bit longer, so I can have him react to a specific upcoming event and stow his wish for a more organic resolution that I don't have to force.
