Probably his filthy lies again. Or trying to save face.
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by that. What are they talking about?
For fuck's sake Pachter, you have this gift of being able to make the opposite of anything you say happen, you gotta use this power for good.
I'm starting to lean heavily towards "Nx using cartridges", mainly in that it feels like something Nintendo would do, outlandish without seeming insane.
I'm somewhat saddened that we aren't seeing Nx until the fall, though it does tell me, at least, that the reason why Nx wasn't at E3 was definitely because something went wrong. Either some key games weren't ready yet, or there were some last minute major console bugs, something. If they could have presented at E3, they could have presented a few months after with a large event of their own, but by revealing circa TGS, which could very well be when the PS 4 Neo is unveiled, they aren't just putting themselves in a competitive space, they're putting themselves directly in the crossfire.
Nintendo isn't afraid of competition here, and they aren't afraid of being lost in the storm of news, so it has to be something that went wrong, which could be good or bad. It could just be some games that were running behind schedule, or it could have been major hardware defects that will take some time to fix.
As long as it isn't early October. That's a busy time for me.
Mid-October is vacation week, though, so that'd be perfect.
Using cartridges wouldn't actually surprise me given price and capacity trends on SD cards of late. You can buy a SD card that stores more than Blu-ray fairly cheap if you find a sale nowadays.
Cartridges had a big jump in the last decade relative to optical media. This wouldn't hurt things the way it did with the N64.
I sure said that! There's still a cost issue, but the only way it would cause an issue is if Nintendo didn't sweeten the pot for third parties to offset it, like reducing licensing fees for console-only third party games (i.e. the PS 4/X1 multiplats which are used to just paying for discs).
Not that they're likely to get too many of those anyway, and the Japanese third parties who would have made 3DS games are used to paying for the costs.
A very reliable leaker/insider(remember the Wii U?) talked a bit about NX. Doesn't sound good.

In the same thread, he said he's also been getting a lot of various rumors, so I don't know if I completely trust what he is saying.
And now we wait for someone else who is a "reliable insider" to say that things look good.
Can we just come to a mutual agreement to just stop talking about leaks and leakers? Their so called leaks run the entire gamut of possibilities and I think basically every single one of them has either proven to be lying or otherwise has had suspicion cast on them. At this point, we might as well be making our own leaks since they'd be just as reliable.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!"The NX will sell lots because it has a "You Get a Gold Star" system, much like Achievements and Trophies, except the machine prints actual money for you when you get one. Each game will turn a $500 profit for the consumer!"
I sure said that!nx confirmed to be compatible with n64 controllers to match up with the leap back to carts
"There's not a girl alive who wouldn't be happy being called cute." ~Tamamo-no-MaeI've heard the NX supports four-dimensional gameplay. Could this really be the future?!
If you plug an N64 game in the NX, you can play Playstation games.
It's not Ogre, It's Never Ogre.So as part of/to make fun of the Brexit one of the people who collects data and other things in the video game business did the video game version of it: Should Nintendo stay first party or go third party.
The poll is still going if you want to vote.

And get rid of the sole point of discussion you and strawberryflavored always feel the need to post about in this topic?
My view on it is that major leaks/reveals that receive attention from games journalists and prominent Nintendo sites are grounds for meaningful discussion of a console that has yet to be unveiled. I don't particularly care for some random nobody on NeoGAF claiming that he is some reliable source.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.Several of the Gaf leakers have a large reputation for accuracy. And so far they (and other leakers without a public identity) have either given us nothing firm or were wrong like with the fake controller. So for now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.NeoGAF is interesting. They always tend to provide interesting information, false or true, and they have a decent track record. Not necessarily a perfect track record, but good enough.
Plus, it's honestly the only things that are important to discuss. At the very least the fake leakers are way better at coming up with creative speculation than any of us are.
I've said before GAF's got some stuff that's widely accepted. That comment in that thread was so much nothing.
Of course, their groupthink could also be very wrong, but they paint a fairly rational, measured picture for the most part,.
GAF was one of the places spear heading the Great Tree Hunt. They're dedicated, which is to be expected considering what that site is.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.I like to think at least part of that was tongue-in-cheek, though this being the internet, it's hard to tell.
His comment makes zero sense. Why would a Wii U game being able to run on NX mean that it's a pretty powerful system? That just means it's at least as powerful as the Wii U.
Secondly, Only Ocarina and TP(counting GC, Wii and Wii U)are around 10 million in sales and it took years for that and I don't think even the hardcore Nintendo crowd(the ones that bought a Wii U)will buy the game twice.
I don't want to say that "everything Pachter says always turns out the opposite way" like all other forums and sites but...
