If you like pinball, both Stern Pinball Arcade and Pinball FX 3 were released (on the Switch) today. Free downloads, but most of the content is paid DLC. However, one of the packs for FX 3 is free for the next week, so this is a good opportunity.
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownA Mega Man Legends 1+2+Misadventures collection would be pretty awesome to see, I say
Though the idea of that even being possible makes me paranoid about wanting to sell my PS1 copies before they become devalued |D

The only negative aspect about the Bayonetta 2 port announcement for me is the digital Bayonetta port. I'm not fond of buying post-PS 1/Saturn console games digitally. Bundles are the same way nowadays. It's only going to become more common, but it's not my thing.
Got my own Nintendo Switch yesterday. Biggest surprise for me was how small the game cards are. Opening up the box for Fire Emblem Warriors and seeing that tiny card was a major "...What?" moment for me.
Now try tasting the cartridges. That'll be an even bigger surprise.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Weren't there supposed to be an announcements from Square and Bamco this weekend, did that end up being nothing?
Am I the only one having issues with the left (using the joycon holder) thumb stick drifting occasionally? I've tried the calibration routine in the system settings, but every now and again (usually at the worst possible time) it starts moving the character without me having actually moved the stick. Kind of a minor pain in the ass when you drift into view when trying to shoot down a Skywatcher Guardian.
All your safe space are belong to TrumpIf your Switch is bought from around launch time, this could be the joycon interference issue. The one that they fix by adding foam. Later models do not have this. It just means yer joycon/s need to be closer to the unit and never behind any "walls" including yourself or say, a chair's backrest.
If not, well it could be a defect you can have Nintendo look at.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes!Yes it's a launch version.
I guess I can pick up a new joycon from the local Walmart and see if that addresses the issue.
[edit] Was Gamestop where I found one, not Walmart (I thought I saw them there, turns out there's not even a space for it on the shelf), and from a bit of experimenting with the new joycon after setting it up the problem seems to have been solved, though that may well just be that it's a new stick and the other one wasn't.

All your safe space are belong to TrumpSpeaking of Joy Cons, I've noticed for a while now that I have some analog drift in my left one (launch system, of course), but it was never a serious issue for the most part. But in Super Mario Odyssey it started doing that a lot, worse than any other game I have. No idea why, but it was annoying to suddenly start moving randomly without touching the stick. Caused some deaths too.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectGuys, don't sleep on Gorogoa! It's quite the lovely and peculiar puzzle game. There was a demo on PC a while back but I'm not sure if that's still up.
Also still trying to decide which games I'm gonna get, a whole bunch came out in the two weeks I haven't been able to access the eShop

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I played a demo for that years ago. Good to know it's out. I'd play it, but Xenoblade is eating my life.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau Project...I got it.
Loading up a software update for Breath of the Wild now.
Good to join the party.

One Strip! One Strip! That was to be expected. Pretty much all game services have load issues around Christmas time.
I also got mine on Christmas! With Mario Kart 8!
Just need to get Mario Odyssey and I'm good to go with my Switch!
Random question: is it possible to get my current Wii U / 3ds Mii on my Switch?
Been trying to do that (linked to my Nintendo Network Id account and everything) but couldn't figure out if it could be done. Ended up just using a Donkey Kong picture for my profile.
Edit: Also, it is possible to take a picture (I know there's a camera button) and e-mail it to myself? I'd like to find a way to get pictures on my computer.

One Strip! One Strip!Yep, though you need an amiibo on hand to do so. Set a mii you want to transfer over as the owner of the amiibo, then scan the amiibo on the mii screen on the switch.
As for getting screenshots, you either post them to a social media account or use a microSD card to move them to the computer.

I see.
Ok, one more thing: There's no time zone for my location (Edmonton, Alberta). There's Halifax and St. Johns, but that's it for Canadian locations. Am I missing something? How do I set my Switch to the right time?
One Strip! One Strip!Look at which of them shares your distance from GMT. Might even be that you have to pick a US city, but it's just shorthand, not a location thing.

Eh. I just set it for Los Angeles / Vancouver (1 hour ahead) and then changed the time to match mine separately as soon as I realized I could.
Now I take care of the Mii thing (good thing I have the Wolf Link Amiibo) and then I'm more or less set.
I wish I'd remembered to get that Micro SD card though. Now I gotta use my Facebook account if I want to get any pictures, and I tend to keep my gaming separate from social media (hence why I liked Miiverse).
Edit: Was able to register Zelda to get some Gold coins for My Nintendo. Want to do the same with Xenoblade Chronicles 2...but I've suddenly forgotten how to do it.
Where am I supposed to go again?

One Strip! One Strip! At the home screen, select a physical game and press "+", and there should be an option that says "Claim My Nintendo Gold Coins" or something.
Digital purchases get rewarded automatically.
My DA account... I draw stuff sometimes! Thanks. Now I remember.
One Strip! One Strip!
Nintendo PR: The Switch has reached 10 million units sold worldwide.
