How does Pokken compare to the Wii U version? I'm on the fence whether to bother picking up the new version.
Reaction Image RepositoryIt's better, though there's not much reason to pick it up if you're only looking for a single player experience, since that's still nothing worth talking about there.
Pokken characters are always great and having 5 new ones to sink one's teeth into is a ton of fun, and the online features are welcome changes, but it's otherwise not that different from the Wii U version.

Speaking of platformers with dark, foreboding atmospheres, what I would give for Little Nightmares on the Switch...
Also currently torn between Steamworld Dig and Thimbleweed Park. Or I could just wait for the One Piece game.
Steamworld is fun if you like Terraria (literally just beat it less than 20 minutes ago). Thimbleweed Park is, from what I can tell, basically a brand new Lucasarts SCUMM-based adventure game.
As for the One Piece game... I have no clue; I'm rather apathetic towards the franchise, so I can't really say anything, other than "wasn't this one on the Wii U for years"?
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — Unknown
Capcom: (looks around nervously) Oof, we messed up pretty bad, eh? I wonder if cooking up a version of MVC:I for the Switch will split the difference...
So Infinite is that bad huh?
Is it because they've cut out Mutants? It can't just be that. Did they leave out Doom as well? He seems like he's grown beyond the FF and all.
One Strip! One Strip!Pokken just keeps on eating Capcom fighting games.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences. My understanding is that it's basically Marvel Studios vs Capcom, i.e. an advert for the MCU.
jamie-b-good.tumblr.com, From what I gathered, the general consensus is that while the presentation, graphics, and choice of characters leaves a lot to be desired, the gameplay is genuinely solid.

The Switch versions of Yooka-Laylee and Battle Chasers: Nightwar have been delayed due to issues with the Unity engine.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."Just announced via Nintendo's twitter: On Nov. 17, you get to introduce a great many beings to Unrelenting Force all over again.
(Or put another way, we have the release date for Skyrim.)
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownWe got that in the last Direct.
Your preferences are not everyone else's preferences.Did we?
(No, seriously, did we? My memory's rather poor at times, so I can easily believe that I either missed or forgot it.)
Will the transhumanist future have catgirls? Does Japan still exist? Well, there is your answer. — UnknownI'm getting concerned that the Yooka-Laylee bubble has burst since the Xbox and PS 4 versions got off to such a shaky start. I don't hear anyone talking about it anymore.
Not to slam either game or anything, but at this rate, the Switch version of YL is going to come out after Super Mario Odyssey and it will eat that game's dust.
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!"I've been waiting for Yooka Laylee on Switch, personally.
Mega Man fanatic extraordinaireSame here, I'm just worried about what'll happen to the game at this point, personally.
"I shall not be foolish again, my dear Gwendolyn!""We will have more about the Switch version in the summer"
September is almost over. Still nothing.
EDIT: And then I see this on twitter.
Not complete yet, but "getting there" as they say.

Didn't Yooka Laylee get average reviews?
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order."Mixed" would be a better descriptor considering the amount of criticism the game received.

If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with? That's probably why no one's really talking about it. Unless there's future content planned none of us know about.
Remember, these idiots drive, fuck, and vote. Not always in that order. As somebody who really hasn't been following the game much, it seems the general trend is that if you were into late-90's era platformers (Banzo-Kazooie, DK 64, etc.) it's a nice tribute to that era of gaming, but it doesn't do much to revolutionize the genre and it falls a bit flat if you don't already have nostalgia for the games that inspired it.
