Ok, it's a clever bit of very Black Comedy, but it might suffer from Fan Myopia. Of course Star Wars is a very well-known franchise, but how far does that go? Most everyone will probably know that Vader is Luke's father; I'm less sure about something like Tarkin destroying Alderaan. Even then, it's Not An Example. The Empire destroyed Alderaan through Earth-Shattering Kaboom to scare the resistance into surrender, not because they particularely wanted to destroy the Alderanians themselves.
