Ovid heard the rolling and preformed a jumping backflip that easily cleared the Grimm's attack. He landed perfectly, holding a rose he had pulled out from somewhere. "Befuddled, bumbling, boorish Boarbutusk buffon! How dare you interrupt such a pleasant stroll through the forest? Have at thee!" Ovid then threw the rose which flew with perfect trajectory towards the grimm, before drawing Revolt and launching at the beast like a thrown spear.

"There a reason why you didn't pipe up about this earlier, Kraken?" Rey asked. "I gave my reasoning earlier, after all."

"Well, first, Wayne showed your assumption that he had no range was wrong. Then, you two had your little sexist/racist debate,which I broke up. And finally, you and me had a debate about being a victim. I didn't exactly have an ample opportunity to suggest a different formation."

"Kraken, look where I am," Wayne called from ahead of the group.

Half of this group is made of imbeciles. At least they're partnered together...

"In that case, I propose my own formation. Wayne shall take the front, Rey and I shall take the sides, and Kraken can shoot his arrows from the back.", Tempestas suggested.

Kraken sighed. "Tempestas, that is what I just suggested. And you say I'm an idiot. Speaking of, does it bother anyone else that I have been the voice of reason in this group for the last 5 minutes?"

"We try to overpower it as fast as possible. Then once it's weak I can keep it out of the water." she said. "I highly reccomend you stand back" She took out of her bag a container of lightning dust and stuffed it into the container on the Spadespear. She also brought out a acorn from her seed bag.

She used the shovel portion of the weapon to dig a small hole in the ground that crackled with electricity. She dropped in the acorn and activated her semblence. Her eyes changed from violet to green and in less then ten second that acorn became a massive electrified oak tree that was unnaturally shaped to peirce the Grimm.

"I would if you actually were." Rey trudged up to the group. "Let's do Tempestas's group. He's not a violent asshole. Politeness gets you a long way, you know."

"Fine." Facing Tempestas, Kraken did a mock bow. " Alright fearless leader, what do we do now?"

"Now, we simply keep on moving towards the relics' location, Kraken.", Tempestas said, ignoring Kraken's obvious sarcasm. At least he isn't still constantly prattling on about his family like he was yesterday., he thought to himself.

ATMN

The trek there was rather clear for the most part, for Bao and Ahyan that was. A few seconds in, they would happen across Tsukiko and Nemesis, the two of them having been the noise the girls had heard.

VRNS

Sanfar spotted the Grimm as it rose from the water, then her eyes went back to Maori. Thinking fast she dove at him and attempted to scoop him up from the water and hightail it out of there away from the Grimm, using her sword to slash at it as she dove.

"Don't be a fool." Nessie drawled, shaking her head. "I only will be a leader if I shall be appointed one. If so, my race has nothing to do with it."

Spotting two familiar faces from Vacuo (not Mistral), the crimson knight gave a hello nod. "Greetings. Did your descent went without troubles?" She asked once they were close enough.

Team VRNS

The Livyat's long prehensile neck dove in to where Maori was just a moment before, sharp teeth gnashing and painfully visible.

Faster than seemed to be possible for such a large creature, it evaded the weaponized tree Nonie created, then dove back into the water. It seemed to understand that, as a creature of the seas, an electrical attack would do great damage. It swam down, deep into the lake, then immediately rocketed back up, sending itself flying and spiraling upwards to leave its current opponents unable to flee (as it would then immediately fall on top of them and consume them).

Annoyed, with adrenaline beginning to flood through his system, and realizing that a close-quarters assault would do no good against a Grimm this size, Apostolis unlimbered the Flyswatter, the massive Dust cannon unfolding like clockwork (and with the sound of clockwork, to boot).

He reached into his sack of unending firepower and produced an incendiary shell filled with fire Dust, before loading it. Stepping away from Nonie to ensure she wouldn't run into the way of his attack, he fired the Flyswatter as the Grimm emerged, sending a burning fireball full of Dust at the Grimm.

VRNS

"Damn it!" She said. "This thing is fast."

Nonie noticed the atremor to swallow them. It wasn't counting on a flying prey she hoped but that wouldn't help the other three. The way it was falling meant it also couldn't escape of she pulled out another tree. She reached into her tree pocket not caring which tree she got. She dropped the seed on the ground and activated her semblance again. She hoped this would do something because she couldn't use more than three trees without completely exhausting her Aura.

An elm tree shot out of the ground in the form of a giant steak.

ATMN

Heedless of Ahyan below her or the possibility that he might have to face Grimm, Bao simply kept moving forward from tree to tree. She expected him to keep up, or else he would not be a suitable partner. Bao counted herself fortunate that she couldn't see very many Grimm around them. Eventually, Bao heard and then spotted two figures standing below her. She leapt down from the tree branch and landed gracefully in front of them before standing up.

"Thoroughly untroubled, yes," said Bao. She paused, glancing over to Tsukiko, but seemed far too preoccupied with the task at hand to do anything but politely nod and look back at Nemesis. "And you?"

"Unpeturbed apart from minor encounters with lesser Grimm." She nodded back at Bao.

"We are to head East, but was there some specific location chosen to go to? Or do we have to cross our fingers and search for one on our own?" Truth be told, Nemesis was starting to get annoyed by this degree of unprofessionality. True, Beacon was a harsh mistress and they had to be prepared for every eventuality, but there was a difference between that and walking blindly with no direction.

Bao and Nemesis would hear a large cacophony coming from some nearby underbrush. It was getting closer as well, and even louder.

In a flash, Ahyan burst out of a rather thick group of trees. His legs currently glowed vaguely with a colored tint; he had used his semblance on himself.

He skidded to a halt in front of them, panting heavily.

"I.. -pant- I think I made good progress.."

ATMN

Bao crouched to adjust her boots in some unknown way. "Nice of you to join us," she told Ahyan.

Bao stood and faced Nemesis once more.

"Tuned out during Zoroaster's instructions, did you?" she said. "Head east, he says, to find an 'abandoned temple' with a relic for the taking. Relics no doubt recently planted there for us to fetch. Directions vague, the shape of the relics unknown, but those are the instructions."

Gareth's face split into a wide smile. "Why, I think you are right, comrade. I think I shall take the big one."

The prince gestured at the biggest of the bear Grimm. Gareth sized it up and wondered what weapon would be best to take down this thing.

...Suddenly, a wonderful idea occured to him. Something that would truly allow him to have fun.

Gareth grinned ferally, like a beast ready to pounce on its prey.

He flared his Semblance and tackled the large creature, attempting to grab it around the neck and choke the life out of it.

VRNS

"U-Um" Before he had a chance to say anything, Sanfar had scooped him out of the water, saving him from the Grimm. But he was still naked.

"Wow...I didn't think it would turn out this way so quickly." He smirked up at Sanfar. "Dear, I'd really like either my clothes, or my weapon before I do anything else."

Team VRNS

The Livyat emerged unscathed by the searing flames, protected by a thin layer of mucus on its skin. However, it did not posess the same sort of defense against the arboreal stake Nonie created.

The beast managed to twist itself in such a way so that it only sacrificed a fin as oppossed to its life. It struggled a bit, but then managed to yank its fin free from the tree at the cost of its use. The mangled remains of the fin flopped uselessly at its side.

The beast then threw itself at Nonie, now seeing her as the bigger threat. If it could incapacitate her, then it would have a much better chance at winning.

Nonie flew away as fast as her wings could carry her away from the water. Yes you brute. Follow me. She thought. She grabbed a satchel of seeds around her neck.

Team VRNS

Vasilos watched as the massive Grimm chased after Nonie. Apparently, the fire shell had been ineffective - there was some sort of fireproof coating on the beast.

Good thing he had several more types of ammunition, then.

Breaking open the breech and extracting the shell, he tossed it to the side, the hot brass hitting the sand and quickly beginning to deform. Producing another one of the air shells that had saved his life when he had entered the forest, he decided to blast that at the creature, to see if it had any effect.

Team VRNS

The wind shell had what was undoubtedly the opposite effect as intended.

The blast knocked the Livyat further, sending it flipping around faster towards Nonie, faster than she might have planned. Or that it had planned, because it seemed startled.
