Gamestop will be having a preorder event on 8/8 for a special Wave 6 3-pack. The pack has ROB, Game and Watch, and Duck Hunt and it is exclusive to Gamestop. The three are available individually as well.

That video on the amiibo phenomena just kind of makes the whole thing look strange. But then I guess that's true of most human activity.

I'm wondering if I should just go into a Gamestop and ask about the Wii Fit Trainer. I'm going to go in soon to get Ganondorf since I think that's out now, so might as well ask? Although it does seem like the online price has dropped.

Edit: Wait, google makes it show up on the Target store. Did it become unexclusive or was I mistaken about that being a thing?

Ganondorf is not Target exclusive, as far as we know, and WFT has never been exclusive.

Okay, turns out I'm not busy on the 8th. So I'll try to pre-order the 3-pack.

Any news when Ganondork, ZSS, and whoever else is in Wave 5 is coming out here/going up for pre-order?

• amiibo are "toys that come to life"
• Toy Story is full of toys that come to life
• The most known song in the series is "you got a friend in me"
• amiibo sounds like amigo
• amigo means friend
• 

Other one:

• amiibo sounds like amoeba.
• amoeba can alter their shape, amiibo can be have their game uses "altered"
• amiibo has "mii" in it. Mii avatars are basicly your personal profile with NNID.
• amiibo can be personalized in certain games (SSB 4)
• 

Humorous speculation aside, I wished there was some sort of "amiibo online fight" mode for Smash 4.

Imagine a For Glory mode only for amiibo.

Bowser Jr. and an unknown 3 pack are showing up in TRU's systems. Notably, Bowser Jr. is not in Target's. This may be indication that Bowser Jr. is TRU exclusive.

EDIT: The 3 pack at TRU could be the Mii fighters. Dr. Mario is also showing in Target's system. The rest of wave 5 is also appearing in retailer's systems as well.

I really wonder how the Mii amiibo ("aMiibo?") are going to work.

Can you save any of your self made Miis as the appearance? What if they ever got use outside of Smash? Would it be one of the boring defaults?

And oh man, custom amiibo makers are going to get flooded with custom aMiibo orders.

I don't know why the Mii Fighter amiibo wouldn't let you use the Miis you created.

I think the Mii Fighters will end up being the most common of their wave.

Well they kind of have to be. Any shortage of that is going to cause the BIGGEST riot ever.

Honestly, whoever I get with Shulk will depend on what I get for my birthday. Though I'm leaning towards Meta Knight and hopefully I'll have enough money to get either Marth or Ike.

All that's left to do at this point is steal them straight from the factory.

You know, the whole situation with unicorn amiibos reminds me of Flash's story in the Christmas episode from Justice League where these kids want him to get a toy duck that raps. He tries to find it in stores but they're all sold out and has to get them from Japan.

I just got back from shopping, and I got my first Pokemon amiibo and the last common amiibo I want (I MAY or may not get Toon Link, and we don't know how rare the remaining Smash characters will be): Pikachu.

I decided to say "fuck it" and just get Pikachu for the following two reasons:

1. He's fucking everywhere in all the stores I've been at. I got him at Best Buy, though I was looking for Dark Pit most. It came down to a choice between Pikachu and Toon Link. I'm not considering it a huge get because of how common he is, though I am least shortening the gap between Diddy Kong and Lucina because I arranged my amiibos in order of when the character debuted.
2. My birthday is 2 days away. This really wasn't a big reason and I just now thought of it. So, I got myself an early present. Now to see how much money I get from birthday cards. I know I have enough for an import of Shulk.

Also, I almost got a Disney Infinity figure of Thor. My mom was like "But you don't have Disney Infinity!", and I had to tell her that I'd just get them to get Superhero figures at a cheap price.

Have you ever watched Jingle All the Way?

I have. The resemblance is uncanny. I think someone should make an edit of the movie and replace the toys with amiibo.

Too bad that I can't import ROB from Japan if I want the color to be the NES version. Of course the last Smash Amiibo I'm getting would be like this.

So what made you all into the amiibo craze? I just have my trusty Fox amiibo for my personal history, and I'm satisfied with just that.
