Hey, sorry for not posting so much. Work, and work, and more work, overtime, meant to be only an hour but we've been getting three at times.
Anyway, you probably thought of this already but part of the framing device for Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War is a news reporter following Wardog squadron around. Might be worth looking at.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursI personally love fictional documents as a framing device, to include things like news reports or interview transcripts.
(Or, future Bellingcat reports on our group, complicating whatever clumsy attempts at secrecy we may have.)
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.I'd be flattered if Bellingcat decided we were worth staring at through satellite pictures.
"Your mission is not to nuke the squid god." —FaramirNo new posts from me since it's late in Ho Chi Minh City and I need to turn in for the day. Mostly likely tomorrow will have to do.

"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Haven't posted yet since I'm going to be eating out in Ho Chi Minh City. Been brainstorming several scenarios that we can do later on after time skipping for a few days.
Hotelkilo isn't around, so I'm tempted to put him in the inactive list.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"I've been in contact with him, and he's more or less confirmed that he's inactive.
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Got it. I'ma try to cook up a post when I'm back in the hotel. Bear with me folks.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Longish post will have to wait til the 13th maybe cause I need to sleep early since I'm due for a flight out of Hanoi in the morning.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"I am subjecting you all to actual Quartermaster procedures for running an armory.
I am a bad person.
"Your mission is not to nuke the squid god." —FaramirLeaving things open for a day or two before I do the timeskip post.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Apologies for not posting more recently; I'll not bore you with details of work. (Other than to note that I've confirmed I am going to avoid doing anything accountancy-related as soon as I can.) How long of a time-skip have you in mind?
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three. Two days to the in-game visit of the Singaporean Foreign Minister.
Thinking of another one, at least going off to another plot of the RP.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"I'll give maybe a day or so before I do the timeskip. Anyone can catch up if they can.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Will post later. Doing some things that I need to settle.
That, and I'm listening to the new Phantom Pain OST.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Already posted a new one. Sorry, got busy with Phantom Pain.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"In the days after the mission Amelia is going to put in a request having her platoon do the occasional motorized patrol away from base, whether daylong or more.
It'll help with training and force cohesion, and since they're cav troops it'll help them from developing a stationary bunker mentality (even in mostly friendly terrain). It'll also let me set a few vignettes out in the field.
(Another part of that request: permission to offload some of the extra ammunition and to experiment with using the freed-up space to carry dismounted personnel. This might include fellow PCs for future missions, so we may not need to rely entirely on the Hueys for transport.)
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Been missing for a few days. Apologies.
It's due to the online banking password that got me into this when I had to wait for a while to get the new password. Although I've been trying to get back to fanfic writing and putting up a RP in Spacebattles that also contributed to this.
Anyway mate, that sounds like a good idea. And since no one's posting up, I'll get a transition post in either tonight or tomorrow.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Thanks for the patience. New post is up.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Sorry for not posting until now. Kept exactly what Brittaney was wearing ambiguous, go with what you think's funniest.
Currently reading up My Rule Fu Is Stronger than YoursLittle bit of news that might or might not factor into the dynamics of our little war: how open-source works.
Next soldier in our formation to take a selfie will be reprimanded, and I expect this to work until the officers start doing it (and reducing the more OPSEC-oriented soldiers and officers to utter despair).
Charlie Stross's cheerful, optimistic predictions for 2017, part one of three.Just wait until we have to do a deniable mission and someone starts posting pictures from a train station in Ukraine.
"Your mission is not to nuke the squid god." —FaramirYeah. That's gonna be a big ouch to OPSEC requirements.
In the meantime, waiting a big more to give the others a chance to post.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Since no one posted, I proceeded to put up a big post. Next big post from me should end the ceremony.
Me thinks we'll do another timeskip and do some regular military stuff like patrols before we do the next mission.
"Exit muna si Polgas. Ang kailangan dito ay si Dobermaxx!"Weeeelll...not much for us players to do in the ceremony.
Although activity is partly my fault. I'd originally determined to make a post this weekend.
Then I saw The Martian.
Mind still blown.

Letting peeps know that I'm going to Vietnam as a tag-along even though my old man and my second older bro is there to meet someone for business.
Transiting through Bangkok.
