I can sorta understand that.
I agree with Mukora; there isn't any titillation attributed to these scenes, so I don't think they qualify as the trope.
Agreed. Those should probably be deleted.
Oh God! Natural light!I would say MAYBE the Pool Scene since it kind of feels 'Shippy' for lack of a better word, but neither scene focuses on the nudity/underwear at all.
So unless anyone disagrees, I'll go and remove it.
Like, yeah, the pool scene is fanservice in that, if you ship Max and Chloe or just like them as friends, it's a really nice bonding scene (I'll admit I may have had a few fangirl squeals), but the trope Fanservice, and the way the entry is worded, is specifically about sexualization.

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."I'd say remove the Shower one and reword the Pool one to specifically mention that it was fanservicy in terms of context (randomly sneaking into the Pool to swim for no real reason besides why the heck not?) and characters (two girls which have a VERY heavy amount of Les Yay and one of them asks the other for a kiss in the very next scene and said characters are, obviously, not wearing much).
Not to step on anyone's toes, but I agree with . I kinda find it hard to imagine someone not being at least a little turned on by what just said.

Well it's not like there's absolutely no sexual content or vibes (for lack of a better word). You see naked or semi-naked people, you think of it. The point is these scenes are not specifically presented as being sexual in nature. I certainly didn't see it that way. Then again, I don't ship Max and Chloe and wasn't really looking for it to be a sexual thing.
In short, I agree that those scenes aren't fanservice, but people will read whatever they want into it.
x2 Well, i mean, some people aren't attracted to women. Or attracted to anything. So that'd be a reason to not be turned on.
Plus, I am attracted to women, but I still wasn't turned on. I didn't see it as "OMG Chloe and Max in their undies HOT" I saw it as "Aww. Two friends that I want to be girlfriends having fun in a pool. That's cute.

"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Ok, thinking this through, I want to see the scene from your perspective, but I'm afraid my Id is getting the better of me on this one and now I'm sorta seeing it as half hot, half "old friends bonding".
...
(sees everyone scowling at him.)
...I'll see myself out.
(Grabs himself by the collar and throws himself out of the thread.)
My actual first thought upon seeing Chloe in her underwear was 'What the fuck is she wearing?". Was that a swimsuit under there (unlikely, I doubt she planned to break into the pool), or do people actually wear matching orange bra and knickers with palm trees on them? Even if they do, I doubt Chloe is those people :P
Idk. I suppose its really kind of a YMMV (thus semi-deserving to be there), but I didn't see it as 'sexual' so much as cute and it kind of felt shippy and fanservicy in that regard.
Yeah. I'd be fine with the pool scene staying. Just remove the shower scene, because, really? If a girl's bare shoulders get your jimmies rustled, maybe you just need a cold shower. Or a dozen.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Bare shoulders are the most erotic thing ever. In Saudi Arabia.
"By the rivers of Babylon, there we sat down, yea, we wept, when we remembered Zion."So, I've been watching a playthrough of this game.
I imagine a bunch of people have already suggested that the selfie Max took at the very start of the game is going to become important, what with her newest power?
I have a message from another time...... Oh man, I hadn't even considered that.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Snap Nathan's neck. MGS style.
Go.
That, however, is a thing I have considered many times.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Not violent enough.
Anyway, I'm more of a fan of defenestration myself. And in slow motion, too.

Oh God! Natural light!Rewind.
Resume.
Rewind.
Resume.
I honestly can't see Max killing someone, including Nathan.
She would have shot someone if she had bullets.
Yeah, she totally would have shot Frank. Like, she pulls the trigger.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."
Man. It really makes me uncomfortable that Max's shower scene, and the pool scene are listed as fanservice on our trope page.
Because... yeah, I guess? If you want to see them as that, sure. But they never felt like they were actually framed that way. Like, the only reason Max is in the shower, narratively, is to overhear Victoria talking about Kate. Hell, the camera never goes below her shoulders.
And the only reason Max and Chloe strip to go swimming is because you'd have to be a weirdo to go swimming in full clothing.
Basically, what I'm saying is that it upsets me that any scene where a female character is in slightly skimpy or no clothing is seen as fanservice. Regardless of context.
