Poor Image: Inevitable Waterfall

One last pic added by Zany Dragon. Not the worst, but the quality isn't great and it isn't terribly illustrative (that two-headed dragon could just as well going down the waterfall for fun).

It's a common enough trope that plenty of images could be found. My first thought was the scene from "Pinkie Apple Pie".

Here's the idea I had based off those:

"Crossing here shouldn't be that bad."

Good, but a lot of panels.

True, and the latter two panels with some caption work can probably work just as well, but the page is big enough to support all three and I like the transition from good to trouble to waterfall.

I did grab a shot of her slipping and hitting the drink [1]◊[2]◊ but 4 panels would be far too much.

So roll with 4?

Not enough consensus yet.

Not a fan of using multiple images on this one.

Seeing how this trope is all about 'fall into a river, surprise there is a waterfall just down stream' multiple panels is the best way to portray it.

for #4 in spite of the multiple panels. A little creativity doesn't hurt; that's why Chekhov's Gun works so well with two images.

If one pic by itself, I agree with using image 10. Willbyr's setup is cool too.

That could work.

That is just a waterfall, nothing 'caught in a river... surprise there is a waterfall just ahead!' about it.

Regardless of what we think of the options, I think we can agree the current is terrible. Zapping it.
