Magic The Gathering: The RP

Okay, so this idea, too, has been buzzing around in my head, and I\'ve wondered about how to implement this for some time, before finally deciding to make this here and now.

Essentially, the RP will be set 20 minutes in the future, in a community college - following an odd event called the Advent Midnight Sky, Wizards of the Coast came out with a new way to play Magic.

It involves a gauntlet that projects a field in front of you, called a Casting Field. The official explanation is that its Hard Light and holograms.

Following this, Magic Tournaments have become a bit bigger scale, and unbeknownst to the players, a good deal more dangerous - one player alleged that his opponent\'s Infect creature clawed him on the arm, and ever since he had very disturbing dreams and odd spasms in the arm.

However, this was dismissed as an extreme reaction to the stimuli, and by and large, the games continue.

At the college, the Magic Club gets ready for its entrance to the tournament, and in the course of this, a lot of unfortunate secrets may well come to light...

• Try to stay away from high powered decks. Nothing that, say, wins all the time on turn 2 or 3.
• When making your deck, stay away from using high profile Legendaries and Planeswalkers. Lets just say there\'s a reason.

By and large Modern. Though there will be some older cards used by certain people, as a statement.

• Appearance: Jane has bright red hair and light blue eyes, a thin frame, but one evidently used to athletics. She usually wears t-shirts, jeans, and sneaker shoes. Only once in a blue moon will you see her wear a dress. She carries her cards with her in a silver and black deck box at her waist, and her Caster's Gauntlet is always with her in her purse. While she's a beautiful woman, she doesn't add on to this appearance.
• Personality: Rebellious and also curiously cerebral, Jane seems to have a personality that merges the teenage rebel with a "genius" student, she is currently taking numerous high level classes at the college, and yet she apparently had a record of using her intelligence to stir up trouble. Apparently, one time she made her high school's football team quarterback "suffer from irritation, rashes and a seriously bruised ego" after he maliciously pranked one of her friends. She is very loyal to her friends, almost to a fault. Internally, she worries she's "too abrasive" to find a boyfriend, but she doesn't let this distract her from what she sees as important.
• Skills Otherwise: Very skilled chemist, good at creating things using various substances and materials. One of her old classmates called her "a female Mac Guyver."
• History: She was apparently present for the Advent Midnight Sky event, one of three hundred people in the area it occurred in who were able to directly watch it. She does not remember much about it, just that there were "a lot of colors...some of which I don't think existed before." She picked up Magic because her older brother played it, and aims for the pro leagues.

Name: Grim Junoire

Gender: Male

Age: 20

Appearance: Average height with a sveldt (lithe? Someone help me?) build. He generally wears a red t-shirt covered by a blue hoodie, black jeans and black Converse sneakers with blue laces, blue hair with black highlights that cover his right eye (emo style I guess...), Hazel eyes, a pale complexion with red lips and smooth skin. Faacial feaatures are somewhat attractive. (kind of "femboy" appraoch I guess)

Personality: Skills Otherwise: He is very good at reading and manipulating people. He can play any role to fool any mark and is a con-artist of the highest degree.

History: Though he is young he is incredibly rich as he is an online information-dealer. He uses various sources and tricks to get highly sensitive information and charges clients exorbiant rates to obtain it. He is a multi-millionaire. He owns an entire apartment building that he alone lives in called "Oz Wonderland". He is the only one thaat has ever been inside and he is the only one that will ever be inside because of his security forces preventing anyone else from entering. He has several penthouses across the city that he owns and is usually residing in one of them at any given moment. If he isn't out partying. Or on a job. Loves MTG and is obssesively trying to figure out the develepor of the hard light techology for his own uses. Grim Junoire was present during the Advent Midnight Sky and refuses to talk about what he saw, although he is now convinced that he is a Planeswalker.

Nick, this is your third RP...

I need a large workload, otherwise my ideas turn stale and boring. Working on numerous things helps keep me fresh.

I would like to join this but I'm not good with deck building and not sure what to write for my character except that my character's name is Kyre Bracken.

You might want to consider the date of the last post before yours. This is most definitely a dead thread, as is the other one you wrote in.
