Alrighty, I've look around here: nothing of this nature, hopefully bad luck doesn't shine on me again.

So here, we'll talk about our favorite Transformers games and what's coming out this season. Oh look, there's an turn-based strategy game in development for mobile devices

Aside from the recently released MMO I can't think of much going on the gaming world for Transformers. And as for that mobile game... well, most mobile games are just goddamned pay-2-win schemes in disguise save for a few, so I don't know if I want to take the risk of paying for it to find out that it requires you to buy premium currency, units, items, etc.

Just checked on my I Phone... apparently it's free to download. A little weird that they allow you to mix the Autobots and Decepticons together though, I thought they would've at least tried to make it faction-based.

[up]You mean the recently closing MMO or is there another one?

Anyway, still hoping we get another game by the dudes who made War for / Fall of Cybertron. Only not shit the way Rise of the Dark Spark was.

That strategy game looks like a reskin of whatever that tank game on IOS / Android is...

There's a bit of a drought in games for the franchise currently, so...

So how many of you guys heard of this game?

So my backstory is that I was digging through the discount bin at an local Game Stop, I saw this Wii-exclusive on a double-feature disc (the other one is an Dark of the Moon vehicular combat title that gave me cancer and reminded me why I boycotted the Bayformers). Brought it for around $5, Megatron's first level is worth more than this.

I might as well practice my unholy magic and announce that Platinum Games is working on a new title for the franchise.

I was going to post this yesterday, but I was waiting for more sources to pop up.

I'm declaring cake day. For there is a new game that's based off of the G1 series. So far, it's coming out for console and PC release this autumn. And yes, we can expect a battle or two with the Constructicons. But it looks like the Autobots are the only playable faction.

Oh... for a moment there I thought they were making a SECOND G1 game. Don't get my hopes up like that again, it hurts my heart when I'm let down! sad

Wheeljack's gameplay trailer for Transformers: Devastation just hit Facebook.

I think if you look really closely and pause at the right time at the 0:10 mark, it looks like he's fighting with wrenches.

Nice. smile

Also, anyone have a theory on who's voicing Wheeljack? Whoever it is, he's doing a pretty darn good job of replicating Chris Latta...

Too bad it's really difficult to emulate Starscream's original high-pitched, shrieky-yet-goofy G1 voice. Every VA for Starscream since has gone for a different approach to the character, such as Steve Blum's deeper but still groveling tone, or the guy who made him sound somewhat snake-like in the Bayformers trilogy.

Here's to hoping they decide to copy his G1 iteration's voice!

Wish granted. smile

Is it just me or did Starscream try to do a Super Inazuma Kick on Optimus for a second there?

And hey, you know what'd be pretty crazy? If Platinum made a DLC campaign that had the Autobots end up in Tokyo-3 and have to team up with NERV and the EVA Units to fight off the Angels. Of course, I imagine that'd be really hard to do, eh?

Probably not for the Japanese, franchise crossovers are pretty frequent there. The problem would be whether the companies who own the necessary rights being willing to support and accept such a project. That, and the EVA's are frigging huge compared to your typical cybertronian, who are usually are 2-3 stories tall at most.

Man, those are some gorgeous graphics. It's literally right out of 80's animation, but without all the animation errors.
