AJS, nothing you said contradicted anything in my earlier post.
Exactly. Besides, the plot was exposed by the attack, and Riza, who opened the portal, was still caught.
Consequently because of everything she did (aiding Julio in killing his parents, outing Ange and trying to have her killed, as well as launching the aforementioned dragon attack on Arzenal), and also because she drugged Sylvia first, I couldn't feel too badly for Riza when she was getting whipped by Sylvia. Even though most people hated Sylvia for that and wish Riza would get back at her.
A few pics of Hilda lying in the rain were photoshopped with pieces of pie in her mouth.
I didn't mind Ange and Hilda lashing out for the most part because of how hard they had been betrayed. I kind of wonder if it should have become a full on revenge plot, with the World of Mana being made into a more lasting and competent threat.
Tusk killed all those soldiers because they were basically ordered to kill. And well, after all of his own kind had been killed, what's a random doomtrooper? (One of them friggin' shot Chris in the head.)
Momoka could also be considered one of the only unambiguously good characters. She may have been a little prejudiced against the people of Arzenal at first, but she quickly grew past it.

So I was looking around on Deviant Art for this series and found this that just came up.
Guess Mana has a new Manipulative Bastard with a right hand woman.
Actually the world being filled with assholes is what makes me like this show quite a bit (Besides the character development and worldbuilding and over the top status). It makes them feel more human as they constantly make mistakes and fuck up and are generally not nice. Like actual people. When the main characters besides Tusk and Momoka are all Anti Heroes it does make the show much more enjoyable.
Also should I get rid of this?
Exploitation Anime: Over the top violence (in the early episodes at least), titillation and social issues like racism in a Girls Behind Bars setting to boot.
Honestly I don't think it was just gore for gore's sake. The racism was part of the story and the gore itself made sense. I feel like a laser by a massive alien dragon Kaiju would rip someone in half with blood going everywhere. Also they're fighting in a giant war. As for the large amounts of nudity there's some pretty decent Fridge Brilliance for it I think. (That being the people who are abused get treated sexually and wear revealing outfits)
Could it of been for younger audiences? Probably. But an TV-MA rating or R rating does give you more of an idea to tell a good story as there's some mature issues a younger person watching that wouldn't understand the plot such as racism.
Recently, I've been reading through a little fanfic, presumably written by an Italian author. Called Cross Ange: Futatsu Sekai no Border, it follows Sylvia as she picks up the remain of the Mana society. There's also a 20 Minutes into the Future scene where the world of Mana regains its ability to use Mana are waging a war against the True Earth.
The link is here for those who want to read.
I know she gets backlash, but just can't take my eyes off of a little comic featuring Sylvia and (the other) Hilda together.
Say, who believes that Cross Ange demands a sequel? Because spots from the original series and Super Robot Wars V really point to it, which I believe is needed. Mana may have lost its magic, but that doesn't immediately fix everything. Hell, there's still so much we don't know about Mana; we don't even know much it covers on the global map. For all we know, it could just be a set of isolated North Korean states.
Furthermore, I have a feeling that this isn't the end of the war between Aura and Mana. Some day, Mana is going to resume their fighting and this time, there is no Embryo to make them the complacent wusses they were.

HELL no!
I say hell YES. I'm always up for more Sunrise insanity.
Course, I'd much prefer a Valvrave sequel.
A sequel? Hell no.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel. With what? They've lost their mana powers, pretty much all the Ragna-mails are in the hands of the Arzenal gang, Aura is back with the Dragons and is more powerful by far than any of the others, and they don't have access to Embryo's super-technology anymore.
That said, a sequel could be hilarious, just see how much of a trainwreck it could be.

Better yet, a crossover with Valvrave. Two of Sunrise's most insane shows in one? Sign me up!
I personally think that the anime had a surprisingly coherent and organized trainwreck, if that makes any sense.
And yes, there's not a whole lot to work on with anyway.
I'm a (socialist) professional writer serializing a WWII alternate history webnovel.No.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.No. Regardless of your personal feelings on the anime, you have to see there's nothing to gain from trying to make a sequel.
Sunrise seems to create something out of a series that was better ending where it was. Since we're talking about the guy who did Gundam Seed Destiny and confirmed it, what's to be expected?
Setting is important because without some kind of map that shows how much Mana covers, there's no telling what else is over there. And I still desire to know more about the fate of characters, hoping that officially, some survived and others meet a pitiful end.

*however many Hey, if Hilda herself can laugh and joke about beating up fifty cops after the fact, it's alright, I guess. I did find it funny in a weird way, that they needed four(six?) cops with truncheons to take down a teenaged girl.
Anyone still looks for fics between this and Lyrical Nanoha? Well, here it is.

Next chapter for Angelic Resonance, here.
Got some Ange x Signum Ship Tease going on...
I got something special for the fans of X, the Savior and his song Maidens.
Uh.... sooo....
I started watching Cross Ange. Just at the 10th episode and overall... I'm swimming just fine.
I did take precautions about how it's gonna have a lot of disturbing Fan Disservice...
God, its been 4 years.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.I haven’t gone in too deep on the show myself, but isn’t this yet another example of “Super Robot Wars improves the script and makes it coherent”?
Let's not go too far now
So... World Of Jerk?
