Thedas has been relatively peaceful ever since the war against Corypheus over 50 years ago. The Inquisition's mark has remained on the world, and the organization still holds its power even with the passing of many of those that made it great. However, even with the lack of any continental crises, an oncoming storm has become known to a gifted few.

The Grey Wardens.

The dreams have returned, visions of marching armies and the Archdemon finding their way in. The Sixth Blight is coming, but even as the Grey Wardens prepare, Thedas is yet to realize the coming danger. And the scale of this Blight, and the destruction that it will cause, are far beyond what Thedas has ever seen before. The King of Ferelden has called a Landsmeet in response to the news from the Grey Wardens, and among the banns and arls, teryns and knights, a small group of adventurers come. Little do they know, they will find themselves wrapped up in the events of the Blight as well.

It is the year 9:99 Dragon.

The character creation is simple: Name, age, gender, class (and specialization if you want to), nationality, brief biography, and species. You can be anything except a darkspawn since you're playing a Blight and the darkspawn have no soul to begin with. You can be an agent of the Inquisition, but for the purpose of the RP you'll be on Inquisition business with the group. You'll start in Denerim, intending to attend the Landsmeet in a variety of different vocations.

So, just in case this picks up any interesting, I'll do my character:

Name: Aeden

Age: 30

Gender: Male

Class: Warrior, Champion

Nationality: Ferelden

Species: Human

Biography: Aeden grew up in Ferelden, in the Hinterlands around Redcliffe. His grandfather lived through the Mage-Templar War and the crisis with Corypheus, and regaled him for many years with tales of the Inquisition and the exploits of the Herald of Andraste. Eventually taken as a page by a knight of Redcliffe, Aeden proved proficient with a sword, and by the time he was in his twenties he was a knight of his own, given the old winter lodge in the Hinterlands as a keep along with men-at-arms and peasants to work the woods there. With the coming of the Sixth Blight, the Arl of Redcliffe picked him as part of his bodyguard.

  • Name: Caiden Hectaras

  • Age: 21

  • Gender: Male

  • Class: Warrior, Reaver

  • Nationality: Nevarran

  • Species: Human

  • Appearance: Caiden has a rather tall and muscular build, curly dark hair on his head, and while he has a strong jaw for someone of his age, he's still working through his more boyish days, lending a look to him between being a pretty youth and growing into a more rugged look. He wears a set of light drakeskin armors, wielding a large claymore usually held across his back.

  • Biography: Caiden belongs to a family historically close to the Pentaghast Family, and in fact the Hectaras Family seems to have a history of service both in the field of battle and in politics. Caiden is the middle child of seven kids, his older brother - at 30 - Andren seems to be seen as the favorite son. The family apparently has some very bizarre rituals and "blood cleanliness ordinances", one of these seems to be having all the sons in the family partake of dragon's blood, though it is mentioned by Caiden that this ritual has not been done often any more due to the rarity of dragon's blood, and only he and Andren have "partaken". Due to an arrangement of some sort with a local Bann, Caiden and his family have decided to visit Denerim for the Landsmeet, and its intended by his father to get Caiden some practical experience through the Inquisition.

  • Name: Aria
  • Age: 27
  • Gender: Female
  • Class: Mage
  • Nationality: Ferelden (Dalish Elf)
  • Species: Elf
  • Biography: Aria was the First of her clan for the worst of reasons- necessity. A combination of factors- a shortsighted skirmish with a shemlen mercenary company, territorial overlaps with a rival clan, and "Billius", a savagely cunning snoufleur, left her clan short on those who could work with the Fade. While not lacking in talent, knowledge nor sheer firepower, red-haired firebrand Aria possessed a level of grace and tact not dissimilar to an entirely wasted Tal-Vashoth sailor with something to compensate for. Under normal circumstances, she'd be regulated to as inconspicuous a position as possible. Whether it be the fault of the Maker, coincidences, or the machination of the Wolf, the bald bastard, events would not unfold like so. Her promotion to the position of First courtesy of Billius' blade-like tusk goring the previous First heralded a change. Faced with the potential dispersal of her clan and absorption into the city's alienage, Aria proposes a Hail Sarthan pass, leverages old favors her clan had with the Inquisition, and secured an invitation to Landsmeet. There's no way this could go horribly wrong!

  • Name: Old Man Willow
  • Age: NA
  • Gender: NA
  • Class: Knight Enchanter/Arcane Warrior
  • Nationality: Fade/ Denerim tree
  • Species: Sylvan
  • Biography: As the Landsmeet, an undeniably portentous event approaches, a sense of hope and faith and purpose gathers as well. Attracted by this, a spirit of purpose slipped through the veil to possess a willow by the Drakon river, so as to more closely observe the proceedings, only to realize too late that it was stuck by the river. Slowly but surely however, the tree is changing, and soon the sylvan will be able to walk and speak.

I kinda found this idea too amusing to put down. smile

Alright! That's five people, which I think is good enough. I'll be asking the mods to lock this thread, and I'll put things in the Discussion and actual Role Playing categories. Get ready guys, here we go!

Got a request to close this thread for the reason that it has enough players. I'll comply with the request; an unlock can still be asked over the "Get RP Mod" button.
