I'm now imagining giant monsters checking the Japanese census to select rampage locations, while the hatchlings want to go and rampage across California so they can eat Disneyland.
So does this end with Robo and the Chinese military pulling a major anticlimactic victory while Majestic watches on the sidelines? Pacing-wise, that seems to fit, but I've given up trying to guess this story's direction at the half-page-a-day pace.
I rather suspect China does not yet have the Torpedos ready, forcing Robo to deliver the bombs personally while ULTRA attacks at the same time with the Titans, forcing a necessary teamup
"You can reply to this Message!"Ooh. I was going to say rail guns, which BSI has, but yeah, Chokaiten earthquake bombs may be the way.
Do they still have any of those left? I was under the impression they destroyed what stocks of it they had.
Well, it is an Axis superweapon, but not the one you were probably expecting.
Who wants to bet that the skull-robot-thing on the Ring of Fire #5 cover is something that was left behind to guard the Longinus satellite?

Or, alternatively, maybe Helsingard is up to something.
Helsie wouldn't put a swastika on his body, though. I think satellite guard is on point, and that this will all be explained better in Temple of Od - Robo has a tendency of having the "past" story following the present story fill in a gap or two.
Remember the rocket site that was blown up before Robo got blasted through time?
Also remember Helsingrad's use of the Nazi War Machine.
Word of Scott is that it's "just some gross old desiccated head/skull in a liquid filled mech helmet". ...And he also said that it's not Helsingard. Nor is it Undead Edison, since that was some people's first guess.
I agree that this will probably tie into a later (but chronologically earlier) volume, but my bet is that said volume will be Spear of Destiny.

Which is a description that absolutely fits with Helsingards past MO.
In his defense, he's really hard to kill. In his offense, the thing that came closest was getting smashed into something in space.
I thought the incident in the past was the closest he came to being 'killed'.
Though I suppose both came pretty close to finishing him off for good.
His problem in the past was more a matter of running out of steam, so to speak, than the violence being particularly notable, wasn't it?
He still got blown apart from the neck down, so that is pretty big for structural damage.
We're going WHERE? Oh, this'll be good.
Isn't that he nuclear rocket island?
Yep! The one where Robo's mere presence was sufficient to turn him into persona non grata and ultimately gave Majestic the pretext to bring down Tesladyne. I'm sure everybody will be just fine with him starting up whatever portion of the Orioncraft is necessary to get into orbit.
Hey, it's just laying there, gathering dust. Someone might as well make use of it.
I think Robo was cleared of any involvement with the nuclear stockpile on Hashima. The Majestic thing happened a couple years after, when one of the nukes from said stockpile wound up on Robo's doorstep (and five more ended up with Dr. Dinosaur).

Officially he was cleared; the unfortunate truth is that the bad PR from the incident is still haunting him to the point where it's not that difficult to paint him as guilty.
You know, just like real life.
Tokyo is the largest city in Japan by a MASSIVE margin. Tokyo has an estimated 8.9 million people, while Yokohama (next largest) has 3.6 million. Where the hell else would anyone attack?
