Name: Barry "Razzadoop" Kramer
Age: 34-ish
Gender: Male
Appearance: Standing at a nice average height, Barry is not bulky, nor is he skinny. His face is round with a nice beard around his chin.
Game They’re Known For Playing: I am Bread, Editing all the Game Grumps' Episodes
Powers: The power to talk to toast, and to edit things into existence for a short period of time ( I hope that this is acceptable)
Personality: Very funny, and says random stuff a lot. Has a grumbly voice and is good at video games
Backstory: Barry was dragged into Game Grumps by Dan and Ross. He was their editor. Between episodes he saw a dumb email that he was going to delete. But, being the idiots the Grumps are, they can't even operate a menu. They accidentally clicked the link and Barry was transported to this game world... Thingie

"You can't swallow what I'm thinking!!"Stating interest.
Question: What's the power level of the characters' abilities supposed to be? Obviously things like Maxwell's Notebook (Scribblenauts - summon anything you write in it) would be overpowered, but I personally was thinking of an Evoker from Persona 3 or psychic powers from Mother 3.

Yeah, I'd say reality warping is overpowered. Weaving things into existence, however, is not. But, here's the thing: From what I'm seeing, the summoning things into existence is going to be nerfed. You can't summon a t-rex or a black hole right off the bat, but you can summon something that's human-sized or a fireball. The reason being that your body has to adjust to the video game world and the power they gained from it. No Instant Expert here. By the endgame, then Maxwell's book will be as powerful as seen in the game.
I would roughly say that the power level, if I really have to pick power scale: around 3 or 4.
You're accepted, though keep the above nerf in mind.

I was thinking that he would edit it into existence for like 5-10 minutes at the most. Barry doesn't need to be too overpowered, I agree.
"You can't swallow what I'm thinking!!"Yeah, essentially that.
So, will there be game antagonists and heroes and stuff? Like, if we had someone as Egoraptor could he meet Sonic the Hedgehog?
"You can't swallow what I'm thinking!!"Yeah, pretty much. You guys are going into the video game world, so there'll be interaction with game characters. I actually have the first villain planned out: King Dedede.
Dedede is a good first villain. Incompetent but still dangerous.
"You can't swallow what I'm thinking!!"I'm curious, what constitutes Let's Player? Anybody who makes videos of them playing video games (or anything that could vaguely resemble a video game) could be considered a "Let's Player." Despite primarily doing reviews, both Angry Joe and Jontron could be considered Let's Players, as are people who stream League of Legends and fighting games.
GIVE ME YOUR FACEJon Tron could be considered a Let's Player from his time on Game Grumps. I was wondering that as well, Jirard the Completionist would be fun in this RP.
"You can't swallow what I'm thinking!!"Yeah, funny story, after posting it, I did think to myself "what about video game reviewers?"
And you know, it would be awesome to see Teemo and Daigo teaming up with the AVGN, Jontron, and Krillin using Lo L powers and Street Fighter powers respectively. So yes. So long as they have to do with video games, chances are they can be played in the game.
I hope this RP doesn't die... I had high hopes.
"You can't swallow what I'm thinking!!"
This game was based off a request in one of the RPG Interest Checks threads by Mr_NES_Dude, in which, while I have problems figuring out how to best do what he visioned, decided to instead write up this RPG with that premise of playing as Let's Players in mind.
Plot:
Video games have shaped and influenced our lives. Some more than others. Among these came a new form of entertainment: Let's Plays. People could watch people play video games, scream their asses off at robotic bears, mourn the loss of their fallen pocket monsters, and even goof around as a video game’s interpretation of one of Disney’s mascots. Each of these individual Let’s Players have made a name for themselves, or have yet to. Perhaps they have had a name in a cartoon show, and are now retold in a humorous way. Whatever the case, the circumstance was the same. Most of the Let’s Players received a PM from a person named Princess Elena, requesting their help. Some turned it down, believing it to be a 419 scam, but there are those who pressed on upon the following message she sent afterwards:
“I come from a realm where the video games you played all concur in one plane. However, that realm is put in peril, and by extension, all video games as you know it. An ancient evil, once sealed away by a greater evil, had been unleashed and has begun altering the world to his liking. He has already ruined my kingdom beyond repair and dethroned me as rightful Queen of it. Please, I beg of you. This evil will do to your world what it did to mine. You may ignore this message, but when you see the world around you fizzle and glitches out of existence, then you know where to go.” Complete with a link.
Among the hundreds who read the second message, only a few grew concern with this threat, especially since they had recently had an experience where some part of their life just… glitched. And so, they pressed onto the link. They got sucked into their computers and into the realm of Venatus Ludum. There, they find that they have gained special powers based around the games they have played. With their newfound powers, they set off to rescue Princess Elena and ssave the world from this great evil.
