Warhammer should never change. Never.
My penis is the ship's bow.

Wow, Warhammer's getting a lot of stuff lately.
The subtitle makes me wonder if it plays like Star Trek Armada. That would... not be unreasonable.
Oooh, definitely gonna keep my eye on this one.
Hopefully they're planning on adding the other races at some point, though. Necrons would be... pretty hilarious.
Not to mention crazy OP, if they stay true to the lore. Gonna be interesting to see how their ships would fight in space... I suspect they're going to have quite the advantage if the game tries to be like Homeworld and avoid the "Space is an Ocean" trope. Their pyramid-like designs means the main gun on the top would always be in the optimal shooting position if they don't.
Then again, pretty much every race (save the Imperial Guard) are described as being absurdly strong and able to annihilate the others with ease, so it might be a moot point as well.
^ At least on tabletop they balance Necron with them having more expensive ships and that they give WAY more victory point than its point cost. Also, really, everyone else except IG? IG got the freaking Nova cannon!
@The Librarian: GW is kind of throwing their license to ANYONE...how do you think we got WH40K Storm of Vengeance?

Give me cute or give me...something?True. Though their Space Wolf game was kind of solid, for the little time that I played it.
Oh lawdy, oh lawdy.
This, and Total War: Warhammer?
I'm gonna faint.
The Great Northern Threadkill.Whoa - the IG can annihilate other races with ease. IG is hands down the faction with THE BEST goddamned armored might. And we got Deathstrikes.
I wonder what kind of wacky stuff the Orkz can get.
Also, if Chaos can have the KILLFRENZY for a hero unit. >: D
Oh god. Instead of normal unit responses, it would just blare KILLFRENZYKILLFRENZYKILLFRENZY as long as you have it selected.
I picked the wrong week to put my Gothic rulebooks on the top shelf.
Nous restons ici.I wonder how they're going to do the combat...will it be turn-based? Sins Of A Solar Empire-like? Endless Space-like?
Considering they're calling it an RTS and the studio behind it has only made RTS games...I'm going to make a wild stab and guess Real-Time Strategy.

Not Three Laws compliant.Yeah, I know that, but in what style of game?

Some gameplay details that might answer 's question.
Basically a turn-based campaign map that drops you into RTS battles that are focused more on maneuvering than zerg-rushing. The campaign is dynamic and non-linear and if you lose a planet to Orks or something, the Imperium throws an Exterminatus counter on it. Individual ships and captains earn experience and skills as the participate in battles as well. It sounds like they took some cues from the Dawn of War games.

Not Three Laws compliant.Ah, alright then.
If this does well maybe they could make some sort of World In Conflict/Total War hybrid game next.

^^ So basically real time version of the tabletop? Huh.
Give me cute or give me...something?Teaser vid:
I'm totally buying that. Too bad they're going for the Space Is an Ocean trope, would've been awesome if they tried to replicate Homeworld's style or even go for true three-dimensional space battles.
^ Well duh, the board game is totally Age of Sail battles IN SPAAAAAAAAACE! With a side dash of World Wars in (in regards of ordnance).
You want realistic? Hope for Attack Vector: Tactical adaptation.

Gameplay trailer. Marks of Chaos are in effect, with the ships looking different and having different abilities depending on which God they are pledged too. And the Planet Killer is in the game.

These ships are gorgeous. This probably means that your PC will need some tuneups to even play the game. :p
Narrative trailer.
Crikey
Shame there's No Tyranid, Tau, Dark Eldar, or Necron fleet tho...
