They're pretty easy to get- You probably got a ton without even realizing it.
If you need to grind more, complete squad tasks and grind scouted avatars.
I sure said that! There's also a Skell build that really focuses on destroying appendages, and nothing else! It's what I use to farm tickets and help those in need.
I keep getting error messages when I try to play it. How can I tell if the disc is scratched or just dirty? Someone left it outside its box for months.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonYou try cleaning it a few times and check for scratches.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I see tiny scratches in the disc and a couple of little nicks in it, but it doesn't seem too far out of the ordinary. I assume that that's what's causing it though.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonHere's what you do- get yourself some distilled water and a microfiber cloth and clean the disc by starting on the inside ring and moving in straight lines to the rim until the entire thing is cleaned. If you're still having problems, there's a small handful of other things you can try, but it's also not impossible the disc is FUBAR'd and you'll have to replace it.
I sure said that!
I hope you are able to fix your disk man.
Anyway, I'm still getting ready to take out the remaining Tyrants. Waiting for that one dude in the Weeping Whitewoods (sp) in Noctilum that only shows up in Fog. He's a bitch to find.
Meanwhile, I've made a list of all the Augments I want to get for my guys to prepare for Telethia the Endbringer:
- Spec Up Evasion XX
- Spec Up Ether Resistance XX (I've decided to get both not only for my Ares 90 Skell, but for all my Skells if possible)
Those are the two I was told to get. These next ones are ones I'm going for on my own:
- Slayer Ultra Fauna XX
- Spec Up Fuel Cost XX
- Spec Up Fuel Max XX
- Boost Ptl XX
It's gonna take a while to gather up the materials (I'll be collecting them individually and gathering up reward tickets as well. I figure if I'm going to do this, I might as well go for the best shit. I got three Level 60 Skells (Ares 90, Lailah Queen and Amadius Hades), so I just need good augments and I can kill off the last few things on this planet worth killing.
Later on, I'm gonna check where I can get the materials for the stuff I need to cut down on time. If anyone has some extra advice for me (other Augments I can get or something) I'm more then willing to hear it.
One Strip! One Strip! One thing I'd say this game completely nailed was the world itself. Planet Mira was a blast to explore and now I'm pissed that I'll probably never actually finish the game
I'm really hoping we get an X-2 that finishes the story and gives us some new environments to explore (and submarine Skells pls. I'd like a bit more to do on that empty ocean)
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonRight. Finally killed Elena the Infernal.
That's most of the on map Tyrants killed except for Telethia the Endbringer, Luxus Xern, and a few other level 90+ dudes.
For them, I'll need that gear I was talking about, so I'd best get cracking.
One Strip! One Strip! So I got the materials for the Spec Up Fuel Cost Augments. I've already added them to my list of stuff.
Anyway, I just got hit with some massive bullshit:
There I was doing a Online mission where you have to kill so Pugevents(sp), or those weird flying whale like fish dudes.
There were all hovering over an acidic pit with a few patches of safe land, so I had to swim out to them on the land and then fight them there.
The thing is, a lot of the time, they refused to get close enough for me to properly get them, so there they were, hovering out of the range of my melee attacks, meaning I have to rely on long range. I'm using the Ramjet Rifle, so there's a long gap between attacks, and my guys are constantly going out too far, getting in the acid, coming back, and then having to re-draw their weapons.
These battles were taking forever because they always ALWAYS stayed just out of the range of my melee attacks until it drew out the time and I got fucking nothing.
So the whole fucking thing was a waste of time because the enemies had to be royal dickwads and not get in range for me to kill them. I'm so fucking pissed. I mean, I even tried switching islands to get closer, but most of the time they still hovered just out of fucking range.
DICKWADS! FUCK ALL OF THEM AND EVERYTHING THEY BELIEVE IN!!!
One Strip! One Strip!I believe that one's called "Contamination Nation". It's listed under That One Level for a reason.
Yeah. That's it.
What a fucking bullshit level. Maybe if the fucking acid water wasn't so deep that you automatically went into swimming, which means putting away your weapons, but no!
It's really just the tendency of those assholes to not get close enough for melee range that's the biggest issue. Even at level 60, when you can only hit them when with long range attacks, it can be quite the issue. And I was this close to getting the boss anyway.
Fuck those guys. Seriously.
One Strip! One Strip!i feel like writing a fanfic to cover for the fact that i can't really play the game anymore.
"I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work." -Thomas EdisonIsn't it just a matter of switching to a ranged focus build when you see that mission come up?
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!
Um...well....
SHUT UP I never did that mission before, so I didn't know it would do that. Otherwise I'd have tried that.
I'll keep it in mind for next time.
One Strip! One Strip!Remember, though- Despite what you'd think, Sniper Rifles don't have added range.
I sure said that!Thanks.
I suppose I need augments that increase the damage of range attacks then?
One Strip! One Strip!Speaking of, can we talk about how sniper rifles are CRIMINALLY underutilized in the game?
Knives and Rayguns, FUCKING RAYGUNS get four party members but all the Sniper Rifles get is Lao and fucking Boze. FUCKING. BOZE. Who have Identical kits! Literally identical! And they don't do anything interesting, they just do the same thing normal partisan eagles do, and carry a javelin!
I'm still upset Lao torpedoed my plan to be a sniper early game by being a sniper himself because I didn't want to overlap role while working through the story.
To spread some combinations around, I'd say Nagi ought to have been a sniper user, since he's all about precise offense anyway (though gatling guns at least fit him a bit due to his surprisingly fierce personality), and his two personal arts and the majority of his skills are sword based anyway, so it wouldn't change too much. I also feel like either Doug or Yelv could have traded their raygun for a less utilized weapon, maybe a sniper or a gatling gun, since only Lao and Boze normally have the former, and only Lin, Frye, and Nagi have the latter, and if we switch Nagi to sniper, we could give his gatling gun to Doug or Yelv, and have far fewer overlapping class options.

Irina should have been another Sniper. In terms of her loadout, she's literally expendable. There are three other knife users and three other assault rifle users. Plus, she's an Interceptor, which we already have two others of.
As for Contamination Nation, just avoid that damnable mission like the plague. I learned that the hard way as well.
On the other hand, Smooth Recovery. Irina's a godsend in the earliest steps of the game.
I sure said that!To be fair, Smooth Recovery is a Knife move. She does have the Ao E tp generating Rifle move Last Stand, so that's a bit of a hit. I wouldn't actually mind it though.
Something I'm interested in doing is coming up with a usable high-level tyrant slaying setup for all characters, not just Cross, but some of their kits are kinda underwhelming or unwieldy for that sorta thing. Some are easier (anyone with shields can just do topple lock, for example, though damage for HB and L would be kinda tough to figure out, while Lin has Drum Roll), but some are either designed around groups (Elma with Ghost Factory) or lack either the right aura or support abilities to survive in a protracted fight even with an infinite overdrive setup.

Continuing to beat on it after you've broken its appendages is marginally counterproductive, yes, since you slightly hasten its demise without getting anything notable for it, but actually being the one to kill it isn't counterproductive since it has to die or flee eventually.
You can challenge them as many times as you have available BLADE Medals.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!
