$120-ish... ah. I suppose relatively speaking that is more affordable than Path of Radiance is.

For me that price point is kinda obtainable.

I got Dreamcast games that are more expensive than that.

So Ike's games were notable for being bombs. But now that Ike is popular, I wonder if a re-release port would have better sales.

I've always figured either Ike's games or Binding Blade would be the next target for an Echoes renake, if they ever decide to bring that branding back.

...assuming they don't keep the focus to older games that weren't localized like Genealogy, anyways.

The rumor mill does point towards Geneology as the next remake and in general it’s the one that makes the most sense as the next remake considering it’s the oldest game that hasn’t gotten the remake treatment and is typically the classic FE game held in the highest regard.

So like, which idols in "Uprising" are only available by scanning certain cards? As in, you can't get them from Idol Toss or any of the Treasure Hunts?

Of these, Pit (Victory) and Medusa (Rare) are notable for never having had their AR Cards physically printed. The card for Pit (Victory) was posted to social media as part of the celebratory leadup to Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, but Medusa (Rare) was never officially released- you'd need to go find fan reconstructions of what the card would've looked like and scan those to get the Idol.

And no, my Japanese aunt never attended the summer festival in the Aomori Prefecture of Japan in 2011, so she never saw the Kid Icarus float.

I took an extra shift at work plus decided to employ a strategy that I’ve been thinking about using to get really expensive games.

I once bought a copy of Skies of Arcadia for the Cube for my brother's birthday. Might be the only time I've ever bought a game on the second hand market, as I don't think any store would still be carrying an original copy.

Actually, that is untrue, as in the 90s, we did spend a fair bit of time at secondhand shops trading sued games for different ones. It's how we acquired Metroid 2 for the Game Boy and Mortal Kombat for the Genesis. Though looking back, I do kind of regret trading way some of our stuff, including an original model Game Boy, even if it was technologically inferior to the Colour model we ended up getting.

Skies of Arcadia was one of those games I was interested in when I saw it featured in an issue of Nintendo Power, but never got a chance to buy and play.

I had no idea that the Gamecube version was a remaster at the time.

I wanted to get my hands on the Gamecube version, but it was never available in a place where I could buy it, and when I did find it, I didn't have the cash.

The last time I had the opportunity, was some time in 2012/2013 at a convention. I saw it, and thought of getting it, but the Wii U was coming at the time, and I figured I'd be playing it more since it was a new system, and Wii U wasn't backwards compatible with Gamecube games. It made sense to me back then.

Yes. I do regret not taking that opportunity. Skies is a game I've long wanted to play.

I actually got the Dreamcast version of Skies of Arcadia not too long ago.

I think the Game Cube port is more expensive (and I think it’s prone to disc rot)

I still have my GC copy. Great game.
